Lack of experience

After a couple of days, Lin Kai and Hao Ran got out of the pool at nearly the same time, dried themselves and put on there clothes.

"I feel like my body art isn't even at one percent completion, did we really have to pick the hardest ones out of all of them." Hao Ran asked.

"Me too, but if it's harder to master, it just means it'll be stronger then regular body arts once we fully complete it." Lin Kai explained, "Also, I feel like I can take a heaven roaming 3rd stage punch without anything happening to me."

Hao Ran, nodded and said, "Heaven roaming 3rd stage, huh?"

They broke the rocks blocking the cave entrance and ran out, looking for a city. Once they reached a city, they looked around and saw there were barely any people, and the people they saw around all had a hint of green in there skin tone.

"This is basically a ghost town. Should we really be here? I've got a very bad feeling." Hao Ran said as he looked left and right worried.

Lin Kai wasn't calm either, they walked into an inn as he thought, "This better not effect my plan."

They came up to the shop keeper who was laying down asleep, they tapped on his shoulder and he jumped awake.

"Ehh, customers? If you want food then there's some in the-" As the shopkeepers eyes had just finished get used to the sunlight coming through the window, he saw Lin Kai and Hao Ran staring at him and he choked on his words, he was obviously scared at there sight.

"You- you wait right there! You don't move!" The shopkeeper screamed at them as he ran out of the building and into a crowd of people.

"What the hell? Since when did those crowd of people appear?" Lin Kai said and started sweating since they seemed to have fallen to someone's trap.

Hao Ran seemed calm and start looking around, he punched at the wall, only for it to not break. This wall seemed to be made from wood, but felt like it was made from steel. Lin Kai tried to walk out the store but it was like a barrier was placed in front of the door. Although Lin Kai couldn't get out, if he used his strength, he can easily break through.

"Tsk, I feel like we're playing in someone's palm and I don't like it. We better break out of here as fast as we can." Lin Kai said as he gathered each of the 5 elements in each of his fingers, covering the entirety of each finger at the point that they all met, they merged and created a mysterious force, which seemed like it can destroy a universe if it was at its peak. Lin kai made a fist and punched through the barrier like it was glass.

Finally, Lin Kai and Hao Ran could escape and decided to leave the town and wait outside of it and see what would have happened.

After waiting for 10 minutes and getting ready to leave, Lin Kai and Hao Ran saw ten heaven roaming stage cultivators coming into the town, the strongest one was a heaven roaming 5th stage and the weakest was a heaven roaming 1st stage.

"We really dodged a bullet, huh?" Lin Kai said to Hao Ran as they left for the other direction which led them into a road and deeper into underworld sect territory.

"Yeah, but we didn't even know what happened, why did that shopkeeper go crazy and run away from us." Hao Ran asked.

"Maybe because our skin color didn't have that hint of green that he had, after all he was okay with us until he was able to clearly see us." Lin Kai thought of an explanation.

As they continued walking, Hao Ran looked at Lin Kai and said, "We don't know what we're doing right?"

Lin Kai continued walking and said, "Yeah, we don't. I never expected that underworld sect territory would be this crazy."

This was a hole in Lin Kai's plan, neither he or Hao Ran have went to Underword sect before so they didn't know what was to be expected, they also forgot to get information from an elder about underworld sect. They didn't have a plan all due to their lack of experience and forgetfulness.

Lin Kai looked around and sighed, "Our plan really went to shit, I don't even know how to get recruited into Underword sect."

After a long time walking, they finally saw a town which seemed normal, they could see merchants coming and going and people occasionally getting in fights to. Everything seemed normal to them and they decided to go in. As they went in they both got a cold feeling.

"I don't know why, it feels like everywhere we go is a trap." Hao Ran said nervously, Lin Kai shushed him in case a powerhouse cultivator was eavesdropping on them.

They walked into an inn and everything seemed normal. They ordered a few drinks and some food to fill there stomach as they listened to the conversations happening.

"Feels like I'm having déjà vu." Lin Kai thought to himself and kept listening to the conversations around.

"Have you heard, some undercover righteous sect disciplines went into a trap town, they were almost caught but were able to escape." A guy said as he was drinking.

"Hah, if you ask me, that's what they deserve, if there stupid enough to not notice anything strange with the town, then there just asking to die. After all, that towns made for inexperienced low level cultivation brats." Another one said as he was laughing.

This obviously got Lin Kai and Hao Ran pissed, but they decided to let it go. They tried to continue listening but was interrupted by the door of the inn being slammed open.

It was the same ten men from before and it was the city mayor and his guards who were also heaven roaming 1st stage.

This made it 20 people in the heaven roaming stage. Everyone got up, even Lin Kai and Hao Ran and moved to the side and made some way for the cultivators. Some tried leaving but were stopped by a guard.

"I'll chose who leaves. Everyone except the two boys over there and the inn keeper can leave." The man said as he pointed at Lin Kai and Hao Ran.
