A talk between best friends

Hao Ran went to the side of the cave where it was filled with mud and started to roll himself in it, the reason was because he was afraid the heavenly python tiger was going to smell that he had the scent of the cave on him and come after him.

After that, he got up and started running in the direction Lin Kai ran in, 2 minutes later he was already one third of the way there when he saw the heavenly python tiger flash by him, leaving him in a daze, he slapped himself, "Get it together, I must make sure Lin Kai's not dead!" He continued to run.

4 minutes later

"Damn how fast did you run?" Hao Ran saw Lin Kai laying on the ground as he pulled out a high healing pill and fed it to him by throwing it into his mouth.

"What do you think? I was running for my life. How about you, why're you covered in mud?" Lin Kai said as he gripped Hao Ran's arm and got pulled up.

"Anyway, let's go find a lake to wash in, if the beast comes after us because it remembers our smell and is pissed that we took its things, well be doomed." Hao Ran said as he started looking for a lake near him.

Once they found a lake, they took off there clothes and went into there shorts. They started to forget about the heavenly python tiger and started playing around in the water, with Lin Kai attempting to drown Hao Ran as payback.

After they finished playing around, they got out and dried themselves with earth qi and laid on the ground, basking in the sunlight, when Lin Kai said, "Hey, how about we do our own things."

"What do you mean?" Hao Ran asked as he was confused.

"I'm talking about the sect, all they have are techniques, i mean what's the point of being there, I know we get to have lots of fun and stuff. But really, do we have to risk our lives for there reputation? Why do they send disciplines out for war when it could easily be decided by the strongest people in the sects fighting each other?" Lin Kai said staring at the sky, he had remembered about reading about these things in novels which turned out true in this world, which never made sense to him.

"Just don't think about it, bro. We just have to roll with life, once we get stronger we can leave whenever we want to. I don't know, maybe build our own house in an isolated part of the world where no trouble happens. But that'll only be possible when we get stronger, don't look at the present, look at the future and see what you can do now to benefit your future self." Hao Ran explained and tried to make as much sense as he can.

Because of Hao Ran's words, Lin Kai gained a new insight in life. "Your right, fuck being the strongest, being strong enough is alright with me unless I need to be the strongest. Plus, being immortal never seemed cool to me if I never had my friends." Lin Kai decided on the new life he'll decide to live.

"But we have to still complete this mission, you know. We can't leave Cheng Li back there at the sect. Who knows what'll happen to her." Hao Ran said as he got up.

"Don't worry, bro, I already got all that covered." Lin Kai said as he got up and he shook Hao Ran's hand and fist bumped it.

"Wanna know what we got from our raid?" Hao Ran asked.

"Don't take it out here, dumbass! What if that beast comes back after sensing it or whatever they do?" Lin Kai told Hao Ran.

"Alright, asshole. Calm down." Hao Ran said after realizing he almost did something whic would get him killed.

"We should continue heading to Underworld sect. It should be this way, if I'm correct." Lin Kai pointed in a random direction.

"Just take out your map for gods sake." Hao Ran said as he rubbed his eyes not being able to handle Lin Kai anymore.

After Lin Kai took out his map they started going in a different direction, almost the opposite, then the way he pointed.

After a 7 days of running and taking breaks they just needed a couple more to arrive to underworld sect territory.

"So, what's the plan?" Hao Ran asked Lin Kai while they were sitting on a tree.

"We'll just try to get some information and if we can, fuck some of there shit up and raid there bases. I'll then do my undercover thing and you'll take my fake dead body to the sect." Lin Kai explained.

Hao Ran started to think.

"What're you thinking about?" Lin Kai saw Hao Ran was thinking and thinking very hard.

"Trying to find a flaw in your plan." Hao Ran told Lin Kai calmly.

"Then try to, like I care." Lin Kai said that as he jumped off the tree, "Let's go, best to save as much time as we can, since time is the only thing we can't get back."

Hao Ran jumped off the tree and continued running with Lin Kai.

After 3 more days the finally entered Underworlds sect territory, which for some reason, the aura it brought made them feel a little off, they were near mountains so they went to look for a cave, after finding a big enough cave they broke the front and trapped themselves in there, and lit a couple fires with there techniques.

"Hey, bring out those stuff we got from the raid at that beast place." After 10 days Lin Kai already forgot the beasts name and only remembers that they stole something from someone. Could it be human? Could it be beast? It didn't matter to Lin Kai anymore.

"Get ready to see what we got!" Hao Ran excitedly pulled the stuff he got from the heavenly python tigers cave out and laid them on the ground.

"Is that what I think it is?!" Lin Kai got excited and stared with his mouth open.

"You better believe it!" Hao Ran said.

"Ah, what are those again?" Lin Kai asked, he never bothered remembering things he didn't care about.

"This is the fire breaking fruit tree with ripe fruits that'll help us breakthrough in fire techniques and this is a mysterious liquid that can refine our body." Hao Ran pointed at them while explaining to Lin Kai.

After that, they both went into the mysterious liquid and started refining there body's while taking 3 fruits each and eating them when the effects ran out from the first fruit.
