Taking a risk

The next day

Hao Ran and Lin Kai were running in a forest, when they heard a loud growl.

"What the fuck was that?!" Hao Ran yelled.

Just by that roar alone, they could tell that the beast who made that roar was stages above them.

"We should go to it." Lin Kai told Hao Ran and started running towards the roar.

Hao Ran followed him and said, "Are you sure?"

"Don't you know that where there's strong beasts, that means there guarding some type of legendary treasure?" Lin Kai looked at Hao Ran.

"Yeah, but that's meant for strong people to go against the strong beasts, were regular people who just cultivated a little, were barely 15!" Hao Ran tried to explain to Lin Kai.

"Just trust me." Lin Kai said and put his finger over his mouth to shush Hao Ran since they just arrived.

"Yooo, were not supposed to mess with that, that's a heavenly python tiger, it can and will beat our asses!" Hao Ran said quietly under his breath.

The heavenly python tiger was a 50 feet and 10 feet thick python with a golden color and stripes of a tiger, it had the abilities to roar and had two pairs of talons near its front.

It smelled Lin Kai and Hao Ran and looked at where they were hiding but didn't do anything since it wanted to protect something and didn't want to leave it.

Lin Kai looked at the python and saw some information.

Name: Heavenly python tiger

Age: 500

Cultivation: Heaven roaming 10th stage (About to breakthrough)

"Hao Ran, that thing must be protecting something to help it break through, it will be very good for us!" Lin Kai said excitingly with a smile on its face.

"But how're we going to get rid of it, dumbass?" Hao Ran kept asking Lin Kai.

"I'm going to lead it away." Lin Kai said, "You go in there and take everything, if a pebble looks special, you take it, understand? Here, take my storage ring, if you need anything. If i die, go to the heaven flower drops sect and look for a girl named Yu Yan, and tell her that I got transported to a faraway place and I'm trying my hardest to come back, okay?"

As Lin Kai said this, he jumped out and blasted a fire and water ball which exploded at the pythons face, it roared at him and started chasing him, Lin Kai used the earth element to move the ground and run faster while using the fire element to boost his speed from behind.

With this speed Lin Kai was barely able to escape it. Every time the beast lost interest in Lin Kai and tried to go back to its cave, he would throw another water and fire ball at it.

After it chased him for 5 minutes it stopped and turned around, Lin Kai threw another water and fire ball at it, but the beast had already realized that it did nothing to it and it was just chasing because it was angry at him.

"Damn it!" Lin Kai got worried and threw a sword at it which bounced off and broke into two.

Lin Kai smiled nervously and said, "We're fucked." But he saw from a distance Hao Ran's 'fire of basan' skill which was easy to identify since it was yellow, with green, red and blue, and it was in the shape of a talon.

Lin Kai used all the energy he can and balled it into his throat, it felt like it was about to explode, "GET OUTTA THERE!!!!!!" He hoped Hao Ran would here him.

6 minutes ago

"Damn this cave is dark, I better hurry up." Hao Ran said this as he started running and lit a flame on his finger.

He came to the back of the cave, he saw a big pool of some mysterious liquid, and a tree with 6 fruits growing on it.

"Oh damn, is that the fire breaking fruit? Not only can it help someone breakthrough a stage, it'll also increase someone's flame ability." Hao Ran said and tried figuring out a way to take it away, he didn't want to just take away the fruits but the whole tree.

He started looking through Lin Kai's storage, "Weird shit, weird shit, more weird shit. Ah, a big shovel? It doesn't matter." Hao Ran took it and searched through another storage ring that was in Lin Kai's storage ring, "This guy really has everything! Why would he need so much huge basins?" Hao Ran took two of them and started to dig up the tree with the roots.

After pulling it out, he filled the basin with the dirt and stones he dug out and put the tree in there. He then went to the pool of mysterious liquid and filled the other basin with it, "What even is this?" Hao Ran put his finger in the liquid and it felt like somebody was beating it up. He pulled it out and it seemed that his finger was stronger then the rest of his body.

"This is just what we need!" Hao Ran put both of them in his storage ring and left the cave, "It's been about 5 minutes, hopefully I don't need to meet that Yu Yan girl yet." As Hao Ran said that he launched his 'fire of basin' skill and started to run away as fast as he could.
