Going on a quest

"Hey man, don't be mad, all I did was try to kill you." Hao Ran tried to justify what he did. "Besides, I knew you wouldn't die, that's why I added, 'attempted', into it."

Lin Kai stopped, looked at Hao Ran and said, "Do you really want me to forgive you?"

Hao Ran nodded up and down multiple times.

"Let me get a hug." Lin Kai asked Hao Ran.

Without a second thought, Hao Ran answered with a, "No."

"Alright then look behind you." Lin Kai pointed and Hao Ran turned, all of a sudden Hao Ran got pulled and started being dragged on the ground at high speeds.

Lin Kai had made a rope of earth energy and tied it around Hao Ran and continued leaving the sect with him.

When they were finally down the mountain and already a couple miles away from heavens mountain, Lin Kai went into a forest, and he released Hao Ran by throwing him.

"Ahhhh, ahhh, ahh, ah." Hao Ran got up quickly, "You bastard, why would you do that to me?"

"I did it because I knew you weren't going to die." Lin Kai said with a straight face.

"Did you know we could've asked an elder to take us to the nearest town?" Hao Ran questioned Lin Kai.

"..." Lin Kai stayed silent for a couple seconds before he thought of a reply, "But where's the adventure in that?" He said as he looked away from Hao Ran.

"Anyway, we don't even know where we're going!" Hao Ran sighed and sat down, looking at the lake that was in front of them, he decided to take out his gourd bottle and fill it with water, purifying the lake water with his earth energy.

"Haha, you still have to fill up your gourd? Mines filled with basins of wine." Lin Kai laughed at Hao Ran.

"That just makes you thirstier, dumbass." Hao Ran took a sip of his water, refilled it, and closed it.

"Anyway, it's alright, I have this convenient map in my storage ring." Lin Kai took out a map, "So we should be in tiger den forest, which is outside the sect, so we have to go north 50 miles to the nearest town, then head another 50 miles north east, to get to Underworld sects territory. We can probably run 10 miles a day." Lin Kai said as he returned his map to the storage ring and started to run in the direction of town.

"That'll still take us 5 days, we were supposed to go to the town in like an couple minutes with an elder. But nooo, mr. genius here wants to do his own thing." Hao Ran rolled his eyes as he started to run with Lin Kai.

3 days later, Lin Kai and Hao Ran were out of breath sitting on a tree, "We ran for 3 days straight, I'm so hungry." Hao Ran said trying to control his breathing.

"Don't worry, I got it all under control." Lin Kai said as he tried to catch his breath.

"Fuck you and go catch something to eat." Hao Ran told Lin Kai.

Lin Kai jumped off and looked for something to catch, while Hao Ran prepared a fire and gathered sticks.

Lin Kai came back with 4 rabbits, Lin Kai roasted them over the fire and gave Hao Ran 2 of them.

Lin Kai started to cook and took out many ingredients from his storage ring.

"Do you just carry everything in there?" Hao Ran was surprised that Lin Kai seemed to have every necessity he needed.

"The storage ring I'm wearing is for swords and pill and anything that has to do something with cultivation, but I keep multiple storage rings in my storage ring that are organized for other items." Lin Kai explained.

After they finished eating they ran to the town, after 2 more days they finally arrived, "We should stalk up in supplies and stuff." Lin Kai suggested.

"Do what you want, I'll book a room in an inn and wait for you." Hao Ran told Lin Kai before he left.

"Hey, man, just so you know, your my best friend." Lin Kai ran up to Hao Ran and hugged him.

Lin Kai walked off leaving Hao Ran in a daze.

"What should we get...?" Lin Kai inspected the items in front of him.

He bought enough food and water for 15 days just in case which costed 20 gold, and started to look at the pills.

"Hey, how much do you have of these?" Lin Kai asked the shopkeeper.

"Good sir, you have a good eye. These are made by-" before the shopkeeper finished he was interrupted.

"Don't care, how much do you have?" Lin Kai asked again.

"We only have 100 in stock." The shopkeeper told Lin Kai.

"I'll take all of it."

"Are you sure? These are pills we are talking about." The shopkeeper tried to warn Lin Kai that it maybe to expensive.

"It's alright, I have enough." Lin Kai opened a storage ring that wasn't his and pulled out 10 coin pucks that were filled with a thousand coins.

When Lin Kai hugged Hao Ran he stole his storage ring and used it to buy all the items.

Lin Kai left with the pills and thought to himself, "Should I also get some armor?"

Suddenly he heard screaming from not to far away, "Lin Kai, you bitch!!!!"

Hao Ran ran up to Lin Kai and kicked him in the ribs, "You bitch, give me my storage ring."

After Hao Ran grabbed his storage ring, he realized that Lin Kai wasn't responding, "Bro, you good? Ay!"

"He must be sleeping, I didn't hit him that hard." Hao ran thought to himself and checked Lin Kai's pulse, "Oh, thank god."

Hao Ran looked inside Lin Kai's storage ring "How much swords does this guy need?" He thought to himself and saw the pills Lin Kai bought, then looked at the money in his storage ring, "tsk, this bastard."

Although Hao Ran was super rich and 10,000 wasn't much to him, he was still stingy with his money.

Hao Ran took a pill and fed it to Lin Kai.

"Huh, what happened?" Lin Kai got up acting like he was groggy.

"Nothing, this-" As Hao Ran, tried to explain himself Lin Kai punched him square in the face, Hao Ran got knocked out and Lin Kai fed him a pill.

Hao Ran woke up, "There, were even now." Lin Kai told Hao Ran, "Let's go to sleep and we'll continue or journey tomorrow." Lin Kai grabbed Hao Ran by the wrist and dragged him to the inn. Hao Ran didn't resist.
