Inexperienced kids

"Pretty cool to breath fire, huh?" Lin Kai asked as he put his back against Hao Ran's back.

"Yeah, I learned it after learning 'fire control'." Hao Ran responded and got ready to fight again. It was now seventeen against two and Lin Kai and Hao Ran seemed pretty tired.

Lin Kai took out two pills and gave one to Hao Ran, which they both ate, regaining there energy. This had become an unfair battle since the Underworld sect guards and elders didn't bring any pills for themselves, since they thought their enemies would be easy prey.

After they ate the pills the techniques on their swords got larger and glowed brighter. Hao Ran ran towards a guard and sliced his sword at him. The guard tried to block it when he realized that Hao Ran slid on the ground underneath him to get behind him. When the guard went to turn around to look at Hao Ran, he felt a sword go through his face, taking his life. It was Lin Kai that ran behind Hao Ran, waiting for a surprise attack.

Lin Kai turned his direction towards another guard who got spooked from Lin Kai staring at him. Lin Kai used this to his advantage, running at the guard, he acted like he was going to launch an attack at the guard. The guard screamed and tried to block it with his eyes closed.

Nothing.

The guard opened his eyes and saw Lin Kai staring at him, standing still. Lin Kai swung his sword at the guards neck, killing him. Lin Kai turned to go help Hao Ran who was surrounded. Lin Kai sent some sword attacks and used illusion sword to kill one of them and block an attack that was coming for Hao Ran.

Hao Ran ducked and stabbed the guard who was blocked by Lin Kai. Hao Ran got back up, kicking one of them away and spinning in a circle with his blades, making a '5 elements harmonic' mini tornado.

Lin Kai saw this and did the same. If they could fly, this technique would've been perfect. This technique broke a couple of buildings and corned some of the guards with Lin Kai coming towards them, killing three of them. Hao Ran cornered another two and killed them. Lin Kai and Hao Ran started to get dizzy and stopped their mini tornadoes. There was just eleven enemies remaining.

"Shit. Who are these kids?" A guard asked his leader, which became his biggest mistake as Hao Ran sped up and ran toward him as fast as he can and slice his chest and stabbed his sword through his heart.

"Wait a minute." Lin Kai had seemed to notice something. There was a guy who had bugs coming out of his body but did nothing. He looked at him with the system and realized it was the mayor.

He did this while blocking attacks coming at him and using Hao Ran as cover which Hao Ran didn't mind.

Lin Kai sent a little wave of his swords energy at the mayor and the bugs on the mayor seemed to have gotten incredibly scared and tried to retreat. The fat mayor kept on panicking and had also thought of running away.

Lin Kai looked at the mayor, ran up and sliced the mayor in half. The mayor tried to resist, but since his heavens energy was built around his bugs, it crumbled against Lin Kai and he died. Before his dead he started to regret picking up a cultivation book about bugs.

There was just ten left for Lin Kai and Hao Ran to kill. At this point, there was damage all across the street they were fighting on. Buildings were destroyed and they could even see some civilians that were buried under there. This didn't faze Lin Kai or Hao Ran since they had already made up their mind that anyone supporting Underworld sect was an enemy.

The Underworld elders and guards were already pretty tired and couldn't handle anymore. Lin Kai saw this and smiled. He pulled out two more pills and gave one to Hao Ran. They ate them and immediately regained there energy.

"Man, I feel bad for people who don't get to experience this." Lin Kai said with a slight smile, teasing at his enemies.

"Mhmm, it's like staying out in the cold and finally finding a source of heat." Hao Ran continued making it seem like the pills were life savers. Which they truly were.

Lin Kai looked in front of him and stared at the system.

[Suggesting host to not play with his pills. They are a finite resource to the host right now.]

"Whatever, purple head." Lin Kai though and got ready to continue fighting.

When Lin Kai and Hao Ran were teasing them, it would've been their best opportunity to fight back against them, but they couldn't since they were simply to tired. They were begging even for a sip of water in their minds and were envious of their leader drinking a cup of tea before the fight.

"It seems we can end this now." Lin Kai said as he walked up to them with Hao Ran. At this point the Underworld enemies were on their knees looking like they were offering there heads to Lin Kai and Hao Ran. They were doing this from their lack of energy. Now all that Lin Kai and Hao Ran need to do is slice there necks off, which they did.

"Why-why did you run away if you were this strong?" The elder needed to know why they ran away if they could've killed them.

Lin Kai grabbed him by the hair and looked straight at his face with a dark smile that made his enemies look like righteous people. "Didn't you already explain why we ran away? It's because we're inexperienced brats who haven't seen the world."

This was true since Lin Kai and Hao Ran's mindset was making them think that a heaven roaming 5th stage was undefeatable with their current cultivation since they couldn't fly and there enemy can.

As Lin Kai said these words, Hao Ran came from the side of the elder and slashed his sword through the elders neck, killing him.
