My new legendary sword

Now that the fight was finished, Lin Kai looked around and saw the destruction that ensued. Buildings were destroyed, stalls were smashed, even the road had random holes in it.

"Hey, we better get out of here before reinforcements come." Hao Ran told Lin Kai.

"That makes sense and all, but recently, I've been looking for a better sword. The swords I have now can barely handle my energy." Lin Kai told Hao Ran with a devilish smile.

Hao Ran picked up on what Lin Kai was trying to say and gave a devilish smiled back. "Recently, I've been running out of money, to." Hao Ran lied to Lin Kai since he knew that Lin Kai knew he was super rich but still needed an excuse.

"Let's collect these storage rings real quick." Lin Kai said, looking at the corpses on the ground. Quickly they took the storage rings and split them with each other, ten for Lin Kai and ten for Hao Ran.

After they looked at the broken and abandoned buildings in the streets. All the civilians and onlookers had already ran away since they would've died if they got to close. Lin Kai looked for the nearest blacksmith shop and Hao Ran started to rob all the stalls and stores.

In the blacksmith shop.

"I need to make this quick." Lin Kai said as he stored every weapon, even if they weren't swords, into his storage ring.

Lin Kai looked at a doorway that was still intact and closed. He stared at it for a second before opening it. There he found seven bags of gold that were filled to the brim. Each bag contained about a thousand gold coins.

"I can't just leave you here without an owner now, can I?" Lin Kai said as he stored them into his ring.

As he took them, Lin Kai noticed an uneven plank on the ground. He broke it and saw a case that seemed to have something in it.

"What could this be here?" Lin Kai asked and he grabbed the case. The case was long and looked like something you'd store a sword in.

"Come to me, mama!" Lin Kai yelled as he opened the case.

Outside Hao Ran heard Lin Kai yelling, "Why the hell is that fool yelling about his mom?" Hao Ran said as he continued to rob.

Lin Kai was at awe at what he saw. In the case was a sword that was sheathed but had a super cool design. It had a dragon hilt and looked like a samurai sword, the sheath was black and also had a dragon coiling around it. Lin Kai unsheathed the sword and saw that it was sharp on only one side, which he had been looking for since he was a child.

In the world of 'Dengdai', the common sword were all double blades, he could've had one custom made but was to lazy to go ask someone to make it.

Lin Kai went to test the sword. He looked at the door and lightly put the sword on it. Nothing seemed to happen to the door. Lin Kai got upset thinking this would be a super strong destructive sword. He then took the sword and got into a vertical slashing position. He slashed down on the door and it split in half like butter.

Lin Kai was surprised and didn't expect that the ground got cut and was split in half until a certain point. Even more so the part where Lin Kai lightly tapped the sword was also cut, Lin Kai just didn't notice that it was cut since it was perfectly cut and didn't fall over. Lin Kai touched the spot that he sliced and his fingers started to bleed, which Lin Kai quickly healed.

"Wow, this is one badass sword! System, quickly inspect it!" Lin Kai said with a happy face and a wide smile.

"I should've expected I'd get something like this. After all I'm the best!" Lin Kai said as he started to become delusional from his own ego.

"I think I'll name you... 'The Sleeping Dragon'!" Lin Kai came up with a regular name on the spot which he thought sounded cool.

Lin Kai saw the word 'Unnamed' on the system disappear and be replaced by the words 'The Sleeping Dragon'.

"Yo! Hurry up! We better leave already, your taking to much damn time." Lin Kai heard Hao Ran scream from outside.

Lin Kai ran outside and left the city with Hao Ran. They continued running until it was night. They stopped in a forest which had lots of monsters which they easily took care of. Hao Ran lit a fire and they started to make food.

While they sat and waited for the food to cook, they started to talk about what they earned from their "expedition".

"Can you believe it? I actually got 20 bags of coins and some premium cloth from this abandoned cloth store!" Hao Ran said as he had a piece of cloth rubbing against his face.

Lin Kai looked at it in disgust and said, "Thats cool and all, but can you believe what I got?" Lin Kai showed Hao Ran the sword in his hand.

"That? You've been carrying it with you the whole time we've been running after our expedition." Hao Ran said as he looked at it and saw its cool design.

"Hmph, watch this." Lin Kai unsheathed the sword and swung it randomly in the air. Nothing happened. Lin Kai walked up to a tree and lightly pushed it. It fell down and knocked the trees behind it down like dominoes.

"Wooow." Hao Ran was amazed by what happened, but snapped back and said, "Why did you need to do that to the environment?"

"I had to show you how cool it is." Lin Kai explained.

"But you could've sliced that huge rock over there, you didn't need to do that to the trees!" Hao Ran said.

"Oh." Lin Kai looked at the rock and sliced it in half.

"Is that better?" Lin Kai asked.

Hao Ran stared at the rock for a second, turned to Lin Kai, smiled, and said, "Yeah, that's better. Let's go and eat now."
