Hao Ran’s brother reveal

Three months later

Hao Ran had been doing missions, cultivating, and hanging out with Cheng Li across these three months. Nothing unusual happened in this period. The only thing 'strange' that occurred was when Cheng Li cultivated. But Hao Ran didn't even bother talking about it.

Hao Ran was still a heaven roaming 2nd stage, but had a strong foundation. Cheng Li had advanced to heaven roaming 3rd stage. Hao Ran wanted to tell Cheng Li to build her foundation but ended up not telling her. Hao Ran liked the idea that everyone had their own path to follow, and he didn't want to change her path.

It had just become morning and Hao Ran woke up with a smile. He turned around and saw Cheng Li sleeping soundly. He smiled at her and got up to stretch his body. He switched out from his bunny pajamas that Cheng Li made for him to his regular clothes.

Cheng Li then woke up and did the same thing, switching from her bear pajamas that she made into her regular clothes she wore. She did all this while humming happily. Cheng Li didn't know what pajamas were until Lin Kai explained it to her once when he asked her to make him a Dragon pajama and a Phoenix pajama. She thought they looked cute so she made herself and Hao Ran one.

"Hey, Cheng Li. Want to go out on a mission? We've got nothing better to do besides staying around and cultivating." Hao Ran asks Cheng Li.

"Ok. But I want to to a hard mission. One that'll force us to go on a crazy adventure!" Cheng Li says excitingly.

"If you want a crazy adventure, we should find a mission that's in a forbidden zone." Hao Ran said as he started to think about all the forbidden zones he read about.

"Ah! I've got someone we can go with!" Hao Ran said as he grabbed Cheng Li's hand and ran to the inner disciplines area.

"Elder brother Qun!!!" Hao Ran screamed out his lungs.

The inner disciplines who were going about their day heard Hao Ran's scream. Some of them ignored it, while some of them got extremely mad. A buff and tall inner discipline walked up to Hao Ran and looked down at him.

"Why are you screaming?" The inner discipline said to Hao Ran in a deep voice. If it was anyone else, they would've already been scared from his looks alone.

"Why does that matter to you? Was I calling you? No. So move your face, before I move it for you." Hao Ran said as he narrowed his eyes.

The people around started to surround them and started gossiping about Hao Ran.

"Isn't he just an outer discipline? Who does he think he is?" A girl said with an arrogant tone as she shook her head.

"Looks like we'll have a good show to watch now. It has been getting boring lately." A guy on the opposite side said with a smirk while having his arms crossed.

Anyone who had a low cultivation had acted arrogantly, and those who had a high cultivation knew that inner discipline had made a big mistake since they were able to tell the cultivation difference between the two. But all they can do was shake their heads at the scene and either continue watching or just walk off.

"Hmph, a little outer discipline dares to be so cocky. I'll teach you your place." The inner discipline said as he launched a kick towards Hao Ran's hips.

Hao Ran didn't try to retaliate against it since he knew the guy in front of him was only a heaven roaming 1st stage. With his strong body, he could easily break his leg, even if he doesn't move a muscle.

Right when the kick almost landed on him, everyone around that was looking at the scene could hear a noise coming. As if the wind was being pierced, trying to fight back but ultimately failing against this force that's piercing it.

Those with high cultivation in the crowd would be able to see a smile forming on Hao Ran's face. In an instant a figure appeared that looked a little like Hao Ran.

Grabbing the inner disciplines leg who tried to kick Hao Ran, he smiled and said, "Who are you trying to kick? I hope it's not my younger brother. After all, I heard he's the best talent in our family. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him." A guy who claimed to be Hao Ran's brother said, and twitched his fingers slightly, breaking his legs.

The inner discipline who tried to kick Hao Ran hadn't reacted to anything that has happened yet and just stayed still looking at the exact same spot.

People in the crowd started to talk. "Is he petrified?" "Why is he standing so still?" "Is he dead?" "Can he not feel his broken leg?" Questions like these were being thrown around by the inner disciplines with low cultivation.

"Hey, Elder brother!" Hao Ran greeted the man in front of him.

"Why did you call me? Do you need something from me? Let's talk over there away from this crowd." Hao Ran's Elder brother pointed to a house and started walking there.

Cheng Li and Hao Ran followed closely behind him. They walked into the house, ignoring the guy with a broken leg. A couple minutes passed and the guy was still standing there as if he was a statue. Everyone had already dispersed, only the guys friends were left.

"Hey, should we try to wake him up?" A girl asked her friends.

"Yeah." They all said in unison and tried waking him up to no avail.

The disciplines that were passing by would glance at them and would either start laughing or just shake their heads.

Only one of the passerby's came to them and greeted them, "Hello, I'm sorry to see what happened to your friend. But he won't be moving for the next 12 hours. Someone froze the space around him. So unless you can unfreeze space, you won't be able to move him. I suggest you wait it out." The passing guy explained to the group of friends and left them alone, going on about his day.

The group of friends didn't know what to do with that information and just said sorry to the frozen guy and left him. They promised they would come back after the 12 hours.
