"Wait!" Sun Girl shouted. "I'll help! I care about the animals! Not as much as you but I'll gladly help!"
But Rude Girl was already gone.
Away.
Into the woods.
Gone.
Artica glanced at the far figure of Rude girl running farther in the woods. It was dangerous. Even Artica herself became lost and tricked by the mist in those woods.
She was the guardian of weather.
She could sense fogs.
But the mist was too powerful.
It will be too powerful for Rude Girl too.
Maybe she was right, maybe they won't meet each other again.
But why did Artica want to meet her again?
She threatened them.
She almost killed them.
But why did Artica think of her?
There seemed to be something… about her.
"Hey Obnoxious, are you coming?" Mean girl said.
Artica looked behind her to see if there was another person that she was calling.
"Hello? Talking to you? White?"
Artica found Mean Girl staring right at her.
"Oh-uh- yeah!" Artica stuttered. "What are we doing anyways?"
Black rolled her eyes.
"We're going to go follow Animal Girl." Sun girl explained, glancing at the direction that Rude girl ran towards.
Artica nodded her head with determination and marched forwards.
"Follow me."
Artica was happy to take the lead, maybe she was destined to be the leader. "Alright! So… we go that way!" Artica pointed to the left.
That's the wrong direction, girl.
Artica stopped in her tracks.
"Who? Who is it?"
"What do you mean?" Mean Girl walked up to Artica. "Are you tricking us?"
"No! I'm not! Didn't you hear it?" Artica looked from Mean Girl to Sunny.
Sunny shook her head. "What did it say?"
"That's the wrong direction, girl."
Artica looked around, hoping to find the person who spoke to her.
The voice was male.
Hopefully, it wasn't her enemy, trying to trick her.
Mean and Sunny walked around, examining the woods.
"Well, I think you were just hearing things!" Mean threw her hands up in the air.
"No, I'm not! I can hear his voice clearly!" Artica blurted out. She jerked her head back and looked at the other girls, hoping her voice wasn't so babyish.
"His?" Mean snorted. "You might be daydreaming about a love partner."
"Shut up!"
"Fine. But I still think that you are."
Artica rolled her eyes.
"Well, I guess we can go with the voice in my mind—or it could've just been my instinct."
The other girls nodded their heads.
They continued walking in silence, surveying their surroundings carefully.
It was dark.
Mist twirling around.
Echoes sounding like laughter.
Branches cracking.
The shadows dancing.
Sunny stopped in her tracks. "Maybe we should go back. I don't hear Animal Girl."
Mean opened her mouth, just about to respond, when they heard a voice.
"—never would I marry you!"
The girls looked at each other with wide eyes.
"It's Animal Girl!"
Without any hesitation, they sprinted towards the voice.
"I see her!" Mean gasped and pointed towards large figures.
One had a girl in his fist.
Artica squinted her eyes.
It was Animal Girl.
