Noami

Noami continued listening with her hearing of a bat.

Watching with her eyesight of a hawk.

Running around with the speed of a cheetah.

And climbing trees with the skill of a monkey.

"Stop!" With the sound of her scream, Yellow sent rays of light swirling around her, calming the wolves. "Alpha, you must be terrified, don't worry. I just called out their warmest memories, which caused them to fall asleep. But for you, it didn't seem to work."

Leseme whimpered, her sounds becoming more sorrow than ever.

I don't have any "warm" memories. I was a stray. I fought my way to the top. Even you, Light One with your "warm" thoughts, will not understand me.

Noami turned her head to look at Leseme. Her once powerful eyes looked full of wilderness.

"Violence will never solve any problems, but words will." Yellow's dress seemed to glow with light.

"Sorry, but before the second word will come out, they'll probably get stabbed by me." Black muttered.

Yellow gave a harsh look towards Black and continued.

"Look, I don't want a fight, we can resolve all of th—"

A chorus of roaring shook the woods. Noami recognized this sound immediately. The roaring belonged to the Tricans.

They weren't native species to the Lunin Realm. Somehow, they just appeared here without any warning.

They feed on animals they find, not caring who they are. A pack of wolves have already fallen prey to these coldhearted monsters.

"I have no time for this. My only hope is that you won't do it to the animals of the woods. I'll deal with you… if I come back." Noami's voice quivered. Hopefully, she didn't sound that worried.

Noami dashed through the woods towards the woods. The atmosphere began to grow cold. Before, the trees were green and healthy. Now, the trees are bare, leaves falling to the ground.

Noami stopped in her tracks and squinted her eyes. Right before her, she could see a body of a dark figure laying motionless on the ground before her.

She crept carefully near, her footsteps crunching on the ground.

Now she could see who it was.

It was Luca. The Alpha of another pack of wolves in these woods.

Noami tried to cry. Again. But she couldn't. This felt the same when Thumper had died. But his death was different.

He was trying to save her. Now, she couldn't save anyone without failing.

Noami…

Luca opened his eyes, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. Noami could feel the spark of life in his body slowly fading away.

Luca. I came late. I…failed you.

Y-you never d-did. I am ever s-so grateful that I m-met you…

His voice decreased into silence.

Revenge

The word echoed in Noami's mind.

Revenge. I will need revenge.

Noami sprinted towards the deepest and darkest sections of the woods, where the Tricans inhabited.

"You malicious creature! How will I live without killing you off?" Noami bellowed and charged towards the four Tricans.

She leaped in the air, gripping a killing arrow in her hand and stabbed an arrow in a Trican's back.

However, the Trican was strong and swung Noami off his back. She yelped and landed hard on the ground.

Before she had time to rise back up, the Trican wrapped his fist around Noami. "Haha! Brothers! Look at I! Me got this pretty girl! Maybe me can ask her to marry I!"

Noami didn't struggle. Even if she did with greatest force, she wouldn't escape. If she did, she will get killed by the four. One against four huge Tricans wouldn't work at all.

"Never would I marry you," Noami spat out, still captured in the Trican's fist .

Another Trican snarled. "You brat. Be grateful that us did not eat you now! Brother, she not fit for you. Let's eat she instead!"

"No! She pretty! Me love her!"

"Brother listen to I!"

"No! Me will not listen little brother!"

"Hey!" A familiar voice shouted. "Let her go now!"

Noami turned her head around, surprised who it was.

It was White, Black, and Yellow.
