Their Birth

A starless night, filled with gloom. There was nothing exuberant about it. Yet, another auspicious night. Not good of its kind. Far from it.

Hidden in the depth of the desert, a clan of jinn resided. Like every other generation, they believed in omens and curses.

Nothing born on an auspicious night could be innocent. Rather, it was shunned. A taboo, unwanted being that brings triviality to society.

A strange curse upon the land. One that should be avoided and isolated. This was what the Jinn believed about auspicious nights.

Be it a clear starless night or a thunderous and violent one. It meant no different to them. Once an auspicious night befalls, so does everything else that comes with it.

Several small kingdoms were scattered across the desert under different rulers. Amidst them, was the Kingdom of Val. Unlike the rest, it was known for its size and popular for the beauty of its women.
