Opening up

The air around the castle was filled with eerie silence. Nobody dared to make the slightest of noises. Not only were they afraid to disturb their Lord but also they feared disturbing their lady's sleep.

Her raw scream haunted each of them. Too familiar with the pain that resonates with them.

Each of them was more or less familiar with how trauma felt. More so the scream that felt like hell was brought down on them.

It was already a few hours into the noon. The sun was lower on the horizon, bright enough to create some warmth around. Malik was stressed out of his mind.

He started thinking back on everything they had done from their first meeting. Every detail was reflected on this day.

It then dawned on him that they hardly talked about her past experience. He was afraid of seeing her in pain while she was good at pretending to be doing fine.
