Decision

"Come on, let's go eat" Florence sighed. Walking into the small dinning room she saw Lillian and Irvin eating the rice and the meat tomatoes. She was surprised the Demon King wasn't being picky with food. She thought he would ask for caviar or a large piece of steak like a spoilt brat, so this is quite surprising.

"Go sit down and eat," she told Lawrence before going back to the kitchen to clean the dishes in the next room.

Cleaning the plates with soap she gave a sigh.

"Are you tired? That was one tiring sigh," a voice said out of nowhere scaring the shit out of her.

"A warning notice please? I did not hear your footsteps at all," Florence held her chest. "I thought you wanted to eat, why are you here? Don't like the food?"

"No, it was delicious and I finished it" Irvin said as he stood there looking at her.

Florence continued to wash the dishes in silence, feeling weirded out as the man watched her every move. After finishing she turned around to see him still in the same spot, "do you want to say something? Why do you keep staring at me like a creep?"

"Your beauty haven't changed since the last six years" he murmured in a low voice, but Florence could still hear that making her face blushed red. He walked closer to her and held her face in his palm, "you really don't remember me? Even though you threw yourself at me first?"

"I was drugged by my cousin," Florence reasoned it.

"But you took away my chastity, so you must bear responsibility," Irvin gave a sly grin.

"Who took who's chastity! You took mine!"

"Well then, I guess we should take care of each other," he smoothly replied.

Florence was dumbfounded at his sly replies, she couldn't rebuke him. Before she could talk back, Irvin bent down and kissed her without a warning.

She tried using her super strength to push him away, but he used his strength to hold onto her waist harder. Irvin sucked and licked her lips as Florence tried to fight back, but in the end she couldn't. She kissed the man back sloppily, tasting him with her tongue as his addictive scent filled her nostrils.

After a while, the two pulled away as they locked their passionate eyes to one another. Irvin held her face again and proposed, "marry me, my Queen."

Florence stood panting for air after their hot kiss, she was weighing the pros and cons. If she becomes the Queen, she can live in luxury with her twins. And the twins can finally have the father figure in their life after many years. Being the Queen of the Demon country, she can take revenge on the Blumes as well.

But the sad part is she will leave this town and the Kains who helped her so much. She would have to leave the shop that she made with her own blood, sweat, and tears. And when she becomes the Demon Queen, it doesn't change the fact that she's a vampire in the demon's country. It's no doubt she will get the side eyes and hate being the enemy. What about her children? They're half-blood so many would criticize them along with her.

Seeing her facial expressions changing every seconds, Irvin asked, "what are your doubts? Tell me so I can address your worries."

Surprised that Irvin seen through her, Florence then said, "I'm a vampire. I don't think they would accept me as your Queen..."

"No one has a saying in my love life. I dare them to speak say such nonsense," he said menacingly.

"To be honest, I want to marry out of love. I don't want a forceful marriage" Florence used another excuse.

"We have all the time after getting married," Irvin smugly said. He was interested in the fierce kitty that bit and scratched him that night. Though he did leave the morning after, Irvin had hoped to find her again. However, when he got back she was already gone. As though God was on his side, Irvin finally found her... she even gave birth to his twins! Irvin regretted not searching for her fast enough, they lost years of communication and connection. But he was determined to make it work this time.

"That's not how it works," Florence shook her head.

"What are you afraid of? Me betraying you after I have you in my grasps?" Irvin asked gently as he traced her lips with his thumb.

"You could if you wanted to. Who would go against you? You're the King" she mumbled.

"If I never wanted to have anything with you, why would I bother making an appearance here in your house?"

"I don't know. Maybe use me as a scapegoat?" Florence said. "Have the headlines of the newspaper be 'Demon King kidnaps ex-Princess, is the war finally here?'"

Irvin chuckled at her cute excuse, "do you want to? I know you hate the royal family, why don't we start a war then?"

"You're crazy," she irked. "I only want the best for my twins."

"I will have it all ready for them. Lessons on etiquette, fighting, even riding horses. You don't need to worry about those small things."

Going out of his grasps, Florence made her way back the dinning room. She sat down with the twins still in their seats and asked, "be honest. Do you want to leave?"

The twins stared at each other, Florence thought it's a twin thing that they can communicate with their eyes.

"I do, mother. I want to study more," Lawrence said with a determined look.

"If Lawrence wants to go, then I will go too," Lillian replied.

Florence could only sigh looking at her children's sparkling eyes. "Alright then, I guess it's settled."

"We'll leave tomorrow morning," Irvin said strolling in.

"Just like that? Isn't this too sudden?" Florence thought of her bakery and what she should say to the Kains.

"Well, do you think a Demon King is welcomed around here? I'm only here for some business."

"Shady business I'm sure," Florence sighed. "Alright, go pack your things and go to sleep."

The twins quickly ran off to their room, trying their best to conceal their excitement.

"I'll be back in the morning," Irvin bent down and kissed her forehead before leaving.

Florence didn't think much of where the group of demons will sleep at, she just went upstairs to her room and started packing. Florence didn't have much clothing, just a few dresses and pairs of shoes. And she couldn't forget about her box of coins she made from the bakery. As for the Kains, she thought a letter would be sufficient for now.

'Dear the Kains,

My family will be going away for sometime. I know this is random and sudden, but do not worry as I am in safe hands and place. I will write to you when I can and explain myself further. Of course, I will remember to repay your acts of kindness.

Much love from your family,

Florence

P.S. take care of my chickens! You can take them if you want! They hatch good eggs!'
