In the Home of the Assassin - Chapter 6

The Thief walks out of the bedroom and into the main living room of the house to be greeted by the Assassin. The Assassin was leaning the table in the early morning sunlight. His black clothing , still somehow bright in the golden sunshine, a compliment to his structure. His black pants were slightly baggy but still tight enough around the hips to show that he had put effort into his endurance and agility. His shirt, tight but still comfortable looking, revealed his rippling chest and shoulders underneath, muscular but not massive. The Thief had to catch herself for a moment in the doorway before continuing past the spectacle and into the kitchen for some breakfast. "I made some eggs and coffee for you." The Assassin commented as she went by him and into the next room. She walked over to the fire-stove to see the skillet full of scrambled eggs, not cooked too long, sitting on it. She smiled slightly, he doesn't show it but he takes note of the little things she says she likes. She put the eggs on her plate, poured a cup of coffee and went to sit at the table the Assassin was standing near. He looked at her as she walked in but then turned his attention back to his coffee as if it was full of dark mysteries. They ate and drank in silence, the Assassin in thought and the Thief focusing on the meal before her. "Do you like it?" He asked, startling her a little due to the long silence. She nodded through mouthfuls of food as he turned back to the window he had been staring out of. She was still able to notice his slight smile at being able to please her though and it made her warmer inside. He stood up from leaning against the wall, walked over to her and put his hand on her head. "Im thankful i met you, my life was only darkness before i stumbled onto you. So thank you for calling out to me in that alleyway." He then walked off to the bedroom to get into his gear. She sat there for a moment in stunned silence, mouth full of food, fork in hand. All at once she swallowed her food and turned beet red, putting her hands against her face in embarrassment, not used to the Assassin showing any sort of feelings to her. She dropped the fork on her plate and jumped up. She looked toward the bedroom and then took off, sprinting towards the unsuspecting Assassin. Suddenly he was caught in the chest by the girl throwing herself into him. They both fell back onto the bed, the Assassin shocked, the Thief burying her face in his chest, practically sobbing. "Im..im so...happy i met you..." she managed to get out between breaths. The Assassin smiled gently and just laid back, putting his hand on her head wondering what he had done in this world that he deserved someone like this always by his side. They laid there for what seemed like hours, enjoying the warmth and happiness they both felt as the day went on, blue sky getting bluer and their future growing stronger together.
