Third POV
Silence reigned after Lucien's announcement to Denver. Denver just stared blankly at Lucien while the latter was sitting quite nervously looking at Denver's still form. Lucien knew the risk he was taking was rather drastic but this was his only chance to escape Kain's manipulations and avoid the schemes Kain would set up for him.
Meanwhile, Denver felt his reality shatter. He couldn't believe what he just heard. "Correct me, did you just say you would aim to be the Runway King as in a Supermodel ?" Denver asked. He wanted to make sure that he had not misheard what Lucien just said.
Lucien nodded.
Denver took a deep breath and exhaled. He began study Lucien. Lucien was quite beautiful for a model. Silver blond hair which shone beautifully like moonlight, almond shaped eyes with the color of amethysts, red lips and a gorgeous body. He knew that Lucien could make it in this cutthroat world.
"I think you can do it but why now ?". Lucien smiled and said " This is the only way to prove my worth to my family and to also pave way for a better future for Luxway so that it can evolve into one of the best shoe companies in the world ". Denver nodded in satisfaction at hearing the answer. "Master Elijah would most certainly approve of your plan and will give you his support for your career path. Anyways, it is time for dinner. Chop, Chop if you don't wish for Madame to summon you ". Lucien looked at the clock to notice that it was definitely close to supper. "Very well. Oh Denver, one more thing, is Kain coming to dinner tonight ?" " I don't believe so, young master. Madame has not informed me of anything regarding Mr. Hasapi ". With that, Denver exited leaving Lucien to his own thoughts.
Lucien looked around when his eyes landed on the shelf next to the desk. What he saw hardened his heart and turned his gaze cold. A three strand braided leather bracelet which held 2 charms - L&K signifying their brotherhood. Snorting coldly, Lucien took the bracelet and dumped it in the trash.
This was a clean slate he was going to have.
He was looking forward to his brand new start.
