Inside the mountain, Aiden is looking at the intense battle taking place outside through the narrow mountain entrance with tears in his eyes.
Looking up in the sky, he thought 'Father, your son didn't fail you...our tribe is saved."
The moment he look back at the battlefield, his eyes was filled with determination. Holding onto a rusted sword, Aiden let out his own war cry "warriors of the fang tribe! our allies have arrived and risking their life to save us! who among you is willing to follow me into battle!?"
"I'm with you chieftain!"
"That's right! I won't be able to face my elder brother in the underworld if I fear away now."
"We won't shame the fang tribe!"
"Brothers! charge!!!" said Aiden.
"KILLLL!!!!!"
Taking the initiative, He charge out of the mountain entrance with the remaining warriors of the fang tribe. All one hundred and twenty men fearlessly rush to aid their allies.
Rushing over from the distance, Daniel can see the carnage that's taking place. Another thing that he noticed is the fact that the allies troops are at an disadvantage. Even with their numbers, they can't close the gap in terms of battle experience, weapons, and armors.
These orcs are born for war and their equipment are top notch. The allies soldiers armor are easily torn apart by the orcs and there dire wolf. While their weapons can only leave scratch marks on the enemy armor. It take many individuals and continues attack just to kill one orc or dire wolf.
Only the guardsmen that was summon by the system are fighting on par with the orcs. But they are still outnumbered with how both orc and wolf are counted as two fighters. Although the war horses are fierce as well but they still don't have the same flexibility as the wolf or the same sharp teeth and claws.
With no other choice, Daniel decided to use the loan at this moment. Otherwise, even if they win the battle against the orcs. His forces would be severely damaged and that is not what he wanted.
'Give me the loan now!' said Daniel.
'Help me purchase fifty heavy armor pike infantry.'
Stopping his charge and retrieved the token from the inventory, Daniel pressed on the red button before throwing it onto the ground. Within seconds, fifty pike infantry appears next to him in an orderly manner.
"Attack! help our men and kill those monsters in front of you." said Daniel as they once again charge into battle.
Brandishing dragon slayer, he hack down on an orc and cutting it in two in one strike. A dire wolf not far away noticed that it's master have been killed by Daniel. Filled with grief and hatred, it charge at Daniel with bloodlust.
Daniel snorted as he look at the wolf coming his way without any fear. Waiting for an opportunity when the wolf jump in the air, he drew an arc to cut the wolf head off directly.
Now that Daniel and his men have join the fight, the tide of battle had once again shifted. Being attacked from three different directions caused the orcs to be overwhelmed. Especially with the addition of seventy professional soldiers. And the pike infantry are detrimental to them.
Smelling the change in the flow of battle to be unfavorable to them. The leader of these orcs was decisive in issuing an retreat order. With only one single opening available, the surviving orcs rider converge to that location.
Seeing the orcs retreating, Daniel yelled "Block them! do not let them escape!"
Pushing his war horse faster towards the retreating orcs together with the twenty guardsmen. Daniel was getting closer and closer to them before swinging dragon slayer at the nearest orc rider.
On the other side, Gerald and the remaining guardsmen who have heard Daniel orders. Started to catch up on the orcs and launched their own attack.
Noticing the pursuing human cavalry, the orc leader decided to sacrifice his men for a chance to escape. He must make it back and inform the commander of what happens here.
Who would have thought that these humans still have a functioning military? there might be more of them lurking somewhere nearby!
"Stall them! honor and glory be with you brothers."
Accepting their leader orders without question, the remaining twenty orcs rider made a quick turn to engage the guardsmen.
"Dammit!" curse Daniel as he look at the orc leader escaping.
After killing the orc remnants, Daniel looked at Gerald for an explanation. From what he see, the guardsmen have suffered huge damage in this battle. Out of the eighty guardsmen, only fifty survived in the end.
Getting down from his horse, Gerald bowed and said "my lord, we have successfully convinced all five tribes nearby in joining you and the last one just happens to be in this direction. While on our way back, a scout reported that a large group of orcs were spotted up ahead. It would be impossible for two thousand and five hundred people to slip by without being noticed. So we have no choice but to engage them in battle."
"Sigh...let's go back first. Take what we can from the orcs as well." said Daniel.
Losing so many guardsmen pain him but the gain outweigh the lost. With the manpower from all six tribe including the fang tribe. Their chances of victory have increased by a small margin.
Now that he have more soldiers and half of the loan is still available. Daniel begin to have other plans for the upcoming battle with the orcs.
For now, he will let his men rest and tend to their wounds. As well as equipping the tribe warriors with appropriate weapons and armors. Then implement military discipline, law, and punishment to repelled any kind of rebellious thoughts. Lastly, is the chain of command where experience individuals can take up leadership rolls.
'Let hope that the orc general is an arrogant and vengeful moron. We have a shot at winning if they are annihilated before having a chance to seek out reinforcement. I did kill his brother after all.' thought Daniel.
