Rise of the Hyuga Pt. III

The world slowed to a daunting pace. With my eyes, nothing was hidden from me. I saw the flapping of the butterfly's wings. I saw the scurry of the little animals fleeing the impending battle. In front of me was a massive horned chakra lion moving through the air to pummel me.

A may be a lot of things, but Hinata Hyuga isn't stupid. I can do what I want when I become omnipotent and omnipresent. Until then, I have allies that I need to impress.

I focused my eyes to the limit and discover the chakra entity to be void of chakra points and pathways. Troublesome.

The trees are a hindrance. My enemy is big enough to destroy them outright. They offer me no strategic advantage. I have to move the battle.

Chakra converged in my palm, and I teleported right beneath the horned lion. Pressing my Rasengan into his chest, the beast was blasted into the sky above the treetops. Looking to my next point, I teleport again, appearing behind the beast.

"Die for me," I mutter before I put the beast through a sword set.

The sky filled with flashes of chakra. Every slash land on the beast was healed in an instant. I found myself becoming tired and feared a turn of events. Breaking the sword set, I pulled out a sealing tag and stamped it onto the lion's head, blasting him to the ground.

Once I appeared by its side, I watched as the fuinjutsu took hold of the beast.

"You're no fuinjutsu specialist." Said Ayame.

"You're sealing script is sloppy. He'll break free before the seal takes hold." Said Toshiro. "Ayame, sealing chains."

As predicted, my sealing tag was destroyed. The beast broke free, but Ayame chains moved like a vicious boa, black at the core shimmering golden chakra. I watched in awe as the chain bound, slammed, then preceded to strangle the beast.

Cruel and uncaring. I watched as the Uzumaki's dead eyes looked at the whining beast.

"Listen up, girl," said Toshiro. "The art of sealing is a cruel one. You must know your enemy and destroy their strength. Weakness means nothing because your enemy can live without it. This beast is all chakra, so you must stop it from using chakra. In the same way, you'll cut the legs off of a taijutsu user or blind a shinobi with a dojutsu. To be a fuinjutsu specialist is to walk through the fire because you have sealed away its heat. Take off your shirt."

Once I was debloused, Toshiro performed the eight trigrams seal, and I watched as the horned lion vanished and reappeared within me.

"Two years." said Ayame, "The beast will be dead in two years. That's how long it will take for the seal to consume its chakra and merge it with your own. The Key will allow you to loosen and tighten the seal."

Day later...

"Toshiro is my friend, but you are my boss. I think he's testing you too much. You shouldn't allow it." said Yan Shi.

I sighed at the worrying man. " I have everything under control. If the Uzumaki can't get in line after we finish this mission, I'll just take their hearts and all of their jutsu along with it. Will you help me?"

"Lady Hyuga, working for you provides for my family. If your dream of a village is made manifest, we will never have to run or hide again. My children will not have to suffer the transgressions of this lacking father." He replied

"Then don't worry about the Uzumaki. All you have to do is trust me. The Uzumaki have the right to turn down any job. And the more we do without them will only serve to lessen their value. Toshiro knows this." I explain.

Yan Shi fell silent. I continued to lead my team through the dense forest. Once we reached a large tree with a fan stamped into it, I told my people to gather around.

"Do you all see this emblem?" I asked. The team nodded their heads in response, "A fan with a flame within. The Hyuga fan helps sustain the will of fire within the leaf village. A pillar of the shinobi society. The leaf village will not let them go easily. Our mission is to free as many of them as possible."

"Yes, Ma'am," they replied in unison.

"Each of you will enter the village, and we'll rendezvous at the Uzumaki clan. If your attacked, fall. Do not reveal your training as shinobi. You are just tourists. Further details will be provided later. Now, I need everyone to touch the tree and feed your chakra into it."

As they followed my directions, each of them vanished as my flying thunder god seal illuminated.

Appearing outside of the village. My team proceeded to infiltrate. I, on the other hand, teleported to Tenten's house.

Once I appeared, I found Tenten in bed, tucked in tight. I stared at her for a while until she finally opened an eye and sighed.

"We're good," I tell her.

"Finally, I've been playing hooky for two days," she complained.

"Yeah, Yeah, did you get the message to my grandfather?" I asked.

"Yes. He says he'll handle it. I'm sure he's ready by now."

"How about that thing from Jiraya?" I ask.

"The perv handed it over. But it took a lot. " Tenten frowned.

"Wait? I thought I told you..."

"I know. But Sakura said she's done. So she won't help us."

That little bitch...

"All that matters is that it's finished. Where is it?" I asked.

Tenten reached under her blanket and pulled out a scroll. It was as long as my forearm and just as thick. I thanked Tenten and was about to leave when she could out to me.

"Orochimaru took Sasuke. They sent a team after him." Said Tenten.

"What about Rock Lee. Is he with them?" I asked anxiously.

Tenten shook her head and explained that Lee was still recovering after his miracle surgery. I knew then my plans would have to change. The Hyuga would have to wait as a one-time opportunity had appeared. I then told Tenten to tell the Uzumaki to hold my people until I returned.

Rushing out, I looked through the village for Rock Lee. Not able to find him, I left the village and began to track the rescue team that went after Sasuke. It wasn't hard to pick up their trail as the team was messy. An hour later, I find Kimimaro, Gaara, and Rock Lee standing in the middle of a grass field. Gaara's sand hand just caught an attack and spit out bone bullets launched by Kimimaro.

Kimimaro has pale skin, vivid green eyes, angular facial features, two scarlet dots on his forehead, which all the members of his clan possessed, and shoulder-length white hair, which he wore divided down the middle on his head with two separate partings on either side of his face.

Kimimaro wore a specialized version of the traditional Oto-nin ensemble, consisting of light lavender, loose-fitting, long-sleeved, zip-up shirt, black pants cut off around mid-calf, bandages wrapped around his ankles, traditional shinobi sandals, and a purple, rope-like belt tied in an inverted bow around his waist. He also wore two red, tube-like hair ornaments, one on either side of his head, securing two locks of his silvery-white hair. His Cursed Seal of Earth is applied at the base of his throat, where it is a circular pattern of three curved lines.

Thankfully, said cursed seal had yet to be activated. Clasping my hands together, I mutter, "Release."

My weights fell to the grass as the clasps holding the together snapped. Noticing my presence, the three shinobi look my way.

"Hinata Hyuga... Rouge Ninja of the leaf village." Said Gaara.

"Gaara of the sand. Rock Lee, it's been a while." I say.

"Hinata! What are you doing here?" asked Lee.

"I'm here to save Kimimaro," I replied nonchalantly.

Kimimaro's face darkens. "I do not know you, girl," he speaks out.

"That doesn't matter. You're going to die if you keep fighting. Sasuke is with Orochimaru. It's over. Orochimaru wants you to come with me. Peace in your last days is all wishes. You paid your debt." I fabricated an explanation.

"No one leaves." Says Gaara.

"You really want to do this?" I ask, glaring at Gaara.

"Unlike the Leaf, the sand doesn't allow its enemies to leave alive."

I chuckle. "Big words. But you can't stop me, and I'm not in the entertainment business."

"Entertain me? I will never be entertained by a traitor to her people. Just die." Gaara's sand attacked as he spoke.

I slipped the attacked and moved with the attentive sand that seemed to have no limits. Then, leaping into the air to dodge an attack, I played right into Gaara's strategy until his sand closed in on me, and I vanished.

Grabbing Kimamaro's shoulder, I returned to the Land of Jungle.

"Where--"

Kimamaro was interrupted by a palm to his chest, knocking him unconscious. I take no pride in overpowering a sick man, but I did what I had to. After leaving him sedated in my lab, I returned to the leaf village.

Walking through the village with a cloak, I made my way through the Senju clan to a small compound with a spiral on its doors.

Bang, bang, tap tapty tap.

A moment later, Yan Shi opened the large steel double doors and ushered me in an unnatural anxious way. Once the doors were shut behind me, I asked, "What's your problem, Yan Shi?"

"You brushed of Gaara of the sand using the Flying Thunder God. Lady Hyuga, that was reckless. Word got out, and you've been promoted to an S-class criminal. "

"What did they say?" I ask.

" The genin Rock Lee told everyone as he considers you a rival now. Those who know the difference between the Second and Fourth Hokage techniques know you're following in the Second Hokage's footsteps. I overheard some old Jonin specialist talking, and the difference between the two is terrifying." Said Yan Shi.

"Why is that?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"Although the second Hokage had his seal to tag locations and people. Most of his technique relied solely on his eyes sight and chakra control. And without a seal to anchor you, the space-time void puts tremendous strain on the body."

"Hmm, now that everyone knows my potential, I may be able to use it to my advantage. Come, let's go speak to the others."

A few moments later, Yan Shi and I entered the main house to find my team, Karin and Etsu.

"Listen up. In a few days, we'll have to divide and conquer. Two teams led by me and a clone of me. This is how it's going to go..."

3rd POV.

The next day, Hinata was eating ramen in a run-down place known for its Dongo. She was rolling a chopstick between her fingers before she discretely threw it out of the shop like a senbon before vanishing.

Outside of the shop, Hinata's grandfather, Masato, walked beside his brother Matsu with a guard of six Hyuga clansmen. Not one of them flinched as the chopstick has caught and quickly tucked away by Masato while in mid-stride.

"It's time to pay our respects to Granny Chiho, brother," said Masato.

"Hmmm, faster than I expected. Time flies when change is on the wind. Iroha..."

"Yes, Second Elder?" Iroha Hyuga replied.

Iroha Hyuga has long brown hair over which wears a bandanna-style forehead protector. Two strands of his hair hang down on either side, framing his face. Customary of all Hyūga, he has the featureless white eyes of the Byakugan. He wears the standard Konoha shinobi attire, complete with a flak jacket.

Iroha's specialty is fuinjutsu, specifically, barriers.

"Send word to Tokuma: The moon has risen to blot out the sun." Said Matsu.

"Yes, Sir." Iroha flickered away.

"Are you sure about this, brother? You know that I respect tradition. The cursed seal does not bother me." Said Matsu.

"Enough. This clan has forgotten where its loyalties lie. We must remind them and everyone else that villages were created to protect and sustain clans so that we may grow. During the waring times, so many died. We are a part of the leaf, but our first priority must be the clan. That is why our forefathers brought us here."

"But now you wish..."

"Yes." Said Masato, "My son has disregarded me for the sake of this village. His daughter is wanted for the sake of this village, and for what? This village gives us nothing. We are strong enough to leave this place and start anew."

"I'm with you. " Said Matsu.

"Then let's get this chapter of Hyuga history over with," Masato growled.
