So, you have a new woman now?

The building area was large with a big entrance to a courtyard which seemed could fit two carriages side by side to enter. Captain Collins and Alexander both entered the giant gate entrances to the building to behold a courtyard filled with vendors. These vendors did not seem to be selling anything that Alexander could tell but saw large lines outside of every stall filled with young men. As the duo on the horse rode closer to the far end portion of the courtyard Alexander was able to see signs plastered outside each stall. They all stated '**** guild scouting and testing' across all of the signs. As the duo reached the large wooden building there were two guards in front of the entrance both with SILVER badges on their black uniforms.

"Good afternoon Captain, we are going to need you to dismount your horse and tie him down in the stalls over to our right. Don't worry about the security of your horse it will be guarded by the city guards." An older-looking man told the duo on the horse pointing over to other horses and carriages of different colors.

Captain Collins dismounted the horse nodding over to the guard. Walking over to tie up his horse with all of the others grabbing his baggage. Walking back to the entrance to the main building. The duo passed by the two guards nodding in their directions stepping into a wide area. There were dozens of lines inside. Scanning inside the room Captain Collins carries Alexander over to the furthest right window that seems to also have parents with their parents. There were two windows next to each other one for normal citizens than another for government officials.

"Sir, you can step over into this line here. How may I be of assistance Captain?" A beautiful young lady with green eyes and brown hair asked grabbing the pencil from her ear.

"Yes, ma'am I have come to register a baby for citizenship today." Captain Collins motioned to Alexander in his arms.

"No problem sir. When is his birthday and what is his name?"

"4 months ago, from yesterday and his name is Alexander Collins."

"Fantastic sir. Do you have any other children by chance?"

"No, no other children." Captain Collins responded noticeably getting sad.

"Well, sir as you may already know on his 8th birthday year you will have to bring Alexander here back in for the awakening ceremony. Then, after his ceremony send the results of his testing to some foundational schools."

"Thank you, ma'am, for the reminders but my boy here will not be attending a foundation school. He will serve as a private in the Galdos military until he is eligible to attend one of the academies at 12."

"Don't you have to be at least 16 to join any military task force or even guild at that?" The young lady stared in shock at the Army Captain carrying the small child.

'Wait what is this old man talking about putting me into the army so young. What if I die young? This terrible what now? Maybe he means working in the kitchen with Ms. Evelyn. Yes, that has got to be it. Also, what's this talk about the awakening ceremony? I need to find some books or something to do more reading on this new world.'

"I know what you are thinking and don't worry my son will be fine. I will never let any harm come to him." Captain Collins grinned back at the young lady behind the window.

"Well sir, then here you go his identification crystal. Make sure to keep go care of that as it is the only way for the boy to get his ceremony and test in a couple of years."

"Thank you. I will make sure nothing happens to this crystal."

Captain Collins carried the baby away back outside of the building slowly making his way to his horse when suddenly a woman's voice was heard behind the two.

"Long time no see huh Chris."

Captain Collins froze in place instantly recalling the person behind the voice standing behind him.

"Are you going to turn around and tell me how you are doing after all of these yea...." The woman stopped talking as she watched Captain Collins slowly turn with a child in his hands.

"Well, I guess it has been 5 years since my sister has passed. So, you have a new woman now? Hopefully, she isn't another Army Captain." The young woman said staring daggers through him.

"You know I could never love another woman that was not Charlotte."

"Then explain that right there in your hands and by my guess you came to register him as your son because this is no orphanage."

"I can explain Cynthia. This boy was left at the encampment yesterday night all alone. Your sister and I always wanted a son for ourselves... but we never got the opportunity on having one. We both know your sister would have never forgiven me if I would have let him be all alone like the both of you were. You are right I did come here to register him as my son. You are just missing that he is also Charlotte's son as well now as he has taken our family's name." Captain Collins explained grasping Alexander tighter to his chest.

'So, that is why he wanted a son so bad.' Alexander thought to himself feeling somewhat sad for the man carrying him.

Cynthia slowly walked closer to the duo staring solely at Alexander. Slowly reaching her hands out in front of her.

"Well, when can I hold my nephew or do you plan on hogging him all to yourself now huh?" Cynthia said as tears fell from her face taking Alexander from Captain Collins' hands.

"I think my sister would have loved him and I am glad I didn't have to kill you today. Also, if you don't take good care of this boy, I will take him from you then cripple you for my sister. If this is to be Charlotte's son, he will get the best treatment from me always. I may be busy nowadays leading the entire Blue Toad Guild, but I will always make time for my nephew." Cynthia pulled Alexander closer to her rather large bosom slightly choking him.

'I may have no breath currently, but maybe this is why I was put in this body to enjoy these supple mountains before me.' Alexander thought with a tiny nose bleed dribbling down from his nose not seen by any other.

"Well, Cynthia we have some time here in the city as the Colonel gave me the day off to go shopping for the little Alexander here."

"Well, Chris I don't usually agree with you but Alexander was a great choice. Imagine you would have named him something dumb like Chris. Right...Chris?" Cynthia chuckled walking past the Captain straight over to where the horses were tied up.

Captain Collins followed closely behind the woman straight to one of the carriages that happened to be blue in color.

"My nephew firstly should be taken to find clothes for his entire childhood, then we will go see what weapon he wants to train with."

"Don't you think it's a little early for the boy to decide what weapon he will use for the rest of his life?" Captain Collins asked with a worried look on his face.

"It is always best to learn young to be proficient in at least one weapon. Most families wait till their child gets to 8 years old when their soul partner is awakened, but the best way is to learn from birth. Like I said before my nephew will get the best that is the least I can do for my sister." The woman remarked as she was carrying Alexander against her bosom who after not showing too many emotions seemed to be smiling menacingly.

.

. 3 hours later

.

"Don't you think this a bit much? How do you expect me to take all of these things back to the encampment with me?"

"They aren't all for you idiot. Some of these clothes are for when he comes to visit and stay with me at the guild's headquarters here in the city. Okay, the final stop is here at Gregor's Shop to get Little Alexander his first weapon."

Captain Collins and Cynthia carrying Alexander walk into the shop only to see hundreds of weapons spread around the room.

"Ah, is that Ms. Cynthia your order for the guild is almost completed we are just finishing up your long swords. Wait a second who is that little one in your arms?" A small man with a large beard said walking to the front of the store.

"This right here is my new nephew, Alexander. Isn't he the cutest thing ever?" Cynthia finally lifting Alexander from her chest to present him to the short man in front of them.

"Nothing in comparison with myself." The short man remarked puffing his chest outwards to the baby.

"I guess dwarves nowadays have no pride comparing themselves to children." Cynthia rolled her eyes pulling Alexander back close to her chest.

'Wait a second did she just say dwarf? So, we have elves and dwarfs in this world what's next demons.' Alexander chuckled to himself.

*Humph*

"Us the noble craftsmen of this world need no comparisons. If you came here today just to mock me you can leave and come back when your order is complete." The dwarf remarked slowly turning around.

"No Gregor we came in today for a training weapon for children. I know you are the best craftsmen outside of the Captial and academies." Cynthia said in an endearing tone of voice slowly leaning forward revealing more of her supple mountains to the small dwarf.

"Well, I guess you do make a point. Come follow me we will show you all what inventory we have for children, or we can do a small test that has proven to be very promising." The dwarf smiled brightly not trying to hide the fact his eyes have not moved since Cynthia moved downward.

"What test is that?" Captain Collins finally interjecting into the conversation standing against a table behind Cynthia.

"Who's the man?"

"The boy's father."

"Well, sir we will place the boy on the floor then surround him with different weapons allowing his natural endowments to choose the weapon. This works well as the person usually chooses the flashiest weapons such as the spear or sword. This way the boy naturally selects a weapon that will follow him the rest of his life."

Gregor led everyone to a separate room placing many weapons in a circle. Slowly placing a hammer, and paper on the floor to complete the circle.

"Why the hammer and piece of paper?" Captain Collins questioned as the paper was placed on the floor.

"The hammer represents blacksmithing much like myself and paper represents politics such as government officiating," Gregor explained his means motioning for Alexander to be placed in the center.

Cynthia walked over to place Alexander in the center of the circle surrounded by different weapons of all types.

'Well, this will be an easy decision it has to be the bow.' Alexander thought as he started to crawl over to where a small wooden bow was placed in the circle.

"Wait, he has never moved before why is he moving now and to a bow? I won't be able to teach him anything if he chooses that weapon." Captain Collins thought to himself feeling both excited and sad at the sight of Alexander reaching for the bow.

Alexander grabs the bow from the circle trying his best to properly shoot the small wooden bow in his hands. Unbeknownst to him he now had three sets of eyes staring down at him wide-eyed in shock.

"He must be a genius." The three onlooking eyes thought to themselves simultaneously.
