Tucked away in a corner of Florida, there's a tower block that among anything else, isn't that particularly attractive or well located for most people, but the oddly sized and oddly charming apartments are cheap to live in, and the tenants are as expected, a bit different from your average Florida man. 
Where else would there be a unified group of introverts, the laziest local Pd imaginable, a coffee shop run by a narcissistic owner, and a bunch of weirdos? Oh yeah, they're all American Chinese too, which means the arguments tend to be in mandarin as well as English.
(Imagine friends, the big bang theory and Brooklyn 99 mixed together, and that's the story. The cops leave much to me desired for, the nerds don't know human emotions and the coffee is served with a fake smile.)

I’m happy to conclude the first 30 chapters of ‘with neighbours like these, who needs enemies’, and even happier to announce another 30 chapters. After chapter 30 is published, I will be taking a break for two weeks from updating twice a week to work on creating a backlog of the next 30. Bai Yutong, Zhan Yao, Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei will be returning with more characters to gossip about, and there’s plenty more romance to come.

Although Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan are happily and cheaply married, there’s no end to the drama in the crazy Asian apartment block. 


Bai Yutong and Zhan Yao can officially start planning their big fat Texan wedding, and oh boy, it’s big and chaotic, because the Bai’s are generally chaotic in most scenarios and a wedding isn’t any different. There’s wedding venues, guest lists, flowers, colour schemes, invitations and suits to pick, among the struggles of daily life. 


What will Jintang, the long time bachelor do when his mother wants to know what love is in his life? He had better find someone, or caring Mother Bai is willing to put someone in his life for him... 


Wen Kexing and his ever suffering fiancé Zhou Zhishu still need to tie the knot as well, and since when did the manager of Ghost Valley and his meticulous staff settle for anything less than the best? However, sometimes it's the simplest things that make a big day special, as manager Wen finds out. 


Also, we have the normal budding relationships of the little emo and his whipped pet boyfriend, new neighbors Nick Gao and Ji Xiaoxing finding love with each other, and the steady unofficial romantic antics of wild bartender Xie Wang and his regular, old iron stomach Ye. 


Although, all of this is just another day in the life of the crazy penny pinching Asian block.
