Off Limits

Moonlight reflected through the dusty mirror of the abandoned building, numerous spider web hanging on the wall making the group gasp for a moment. A noticeable pile of documents was scattered inside the building.

Kiera Tyler, the most responsible person in the group runs her fingers through her short hair and carelessly opens the door revealing the space of the facility. Their mouth agape as they reached the end of the living room. There's no doubt that they hired someone to clean the area. Without realizing it, Kelsey turns on the camera and spins around, filming every document she touches. A pile of papers appears to be the secret documents of the school.

"These are the documents about the accident years ago. This book entitled 'Legends of the Lions' must be the book written by a famous writer that year," Prince Williams, the smartest of the group said. His cute dimples show up as he smiles.

Out of curiosity, Keevah Davis, daughter of the famous baseball star who died in that accident came to take a look at what Prince's holding. It was the story her father had before he came on their business trip. She vaguely remembers how her father kept it with him every time he went out. "How come the school has this?" She snatches the book and scans it.

"What do you mean?" Aiken asks, leaning on the wall. He's reading a document while the others are checking the area. His blue eyes land on her. Prince's brows arch as he scans the with Keevah. His smile faded as he saw the time and date, Keevah takes a picture of the book and type it as her new evidence.

"Ethan Blaise, he's familiar with me." She nods, writing his name in her secret diary. The other group sat on the cool hard ground as Kelsey's camera flashes. She starts her video content when the sound of footsteps comes closer. It was a very obvious step from the authorities.

"Hide!" Someone shouted as they hid in the empty room near the living room, the group wonder who was it and it sounded like an important person. The sound of footsteps echoes around the building. They can't recognize the person as the moonlight covers her small figure. The group holds their breath as they saw the figure draw closer to them.

"Come here after fifteen minutes and clean the area, all important documents must be thrown out. Nevertheless, spare some not important." They hear the woman said, her short guy-like hair radiate on the dark empty room. No one is breathing until the sound of the footsteps draws farther away.

The group let out a big sigh as they realize how close they are to each other, some of them are not bothered especially Bubble and the guys. Bubble loves clinging to anyone who wants to feel warm and that's how she is. Her long hair flutters as she giggles, seeing how her friends react. "I love you guys!" She then hugs and kisses her friends as well as the guy in front of her, apparently her partner.

"Let's get out of here before we meet some of her subordinates." Cleo licks her lips as she stood up, making her way through the door.

"But wait, let me check something really fast!" Keevah exclaims, raising her right hand. The group looks at her, anxious. Realizing the ambiance of the room, she gives them a very assuring smile before running towards the last shelf at the back. Her friends went outside as they wait for her inside the van, owned by Sui.

Her vintage-colored coat touches the hard linoleum floor, her teeth biting her crimson-like lips. She carefully lifts the book and seizes it. The way she analyzes the book makes a lot of time, a strange noise echoes as she carefully makes her way through the huge wooden door.

"I believe you're one of that youngster outside," he crosses his arm around his chest, pointing at the window where her friends are tied in a tree near the abandoned building. "You might want to join them, you're free to do so." He has a knife in his hand, playing it along with his fingers.

"Who are you?" She asks, gulping her saliva out of fear, the more he walks closer makes her eyes tremble. "Just a nobody passing by." She gasps as the intruder strangle her, raising her until she passed out. One of her friends knows how to untie the tied rope, helping each other as they saw Keevah lying on the cold floor.

They immediately carried her and drive away from the abandoned building, the university is far from the building making them use a van. The unconscious girl looks pale but no one dares to call an ambulance knowing what can happen next, trespassing in an abandoned building is surely suspicious especially when one of them is lying on the floor, unconscious.

Diana Scott, who's sitting next to unconscious Keevah gasps as she realizes something. She points at the camera, rolling. Their eyes widen as they saw the man's face as he chokes the innocent woman. The hidden camera captures everything, making them frowns. As soon as they reach the hotel room, the girls owned they put Keevah in the bed, looking at her for a few minutes before dialing her mother's number.

"Auntie, it's me, Bubble. Keevah will be staying with us tonight, don't worry we'll take care of her." She softly said, preventing her tears from falling. The guys sat in the kitchen, drinking a few bottles of wine. "What have we done just now?" Justin put his head on his hand, closing his eyes.

"It's different from what we expected, right?" It was Creed who spoke as he drinks the wine in one gulp. "That legend must be true, or maybe the crime years ago had a very dark secret." He added, searching the murder case that happened in the abandoned building of their university.

Kelsey massages her temple as she reminds of what happened to Keevah, she knew that it was her fault to create that video. But Keevah never regrets coming with her, that's what she never know. "Guys, you must see this!" Luke's loud voice reverberates.

The group gathered beside Luke who's currently watching the live news on his cell phone, Sui turn on the television and sat on the couch. Beside her were her friends, focus on the news.

"Haniel Forshay, a 37-year-old man died in an abandoned building inside the famous school, Avarial High."
