A Nobody

"What do you think are you doing?!" The teacher exclaimed as she saw me sleeping in her class.

"N-nothing Ma'am," I answered instantly.

The whole class laughed at how I looked since I really feel asleep.

"You make sure you won't get caught next time!" The teacher warned me.

"Yes Ma'am!" I answered as the whole class was still laughing.

The whole class except Xilliene, She's pretty much a campus crush.

She has tons of friends and a lot of people admire her.

At first I felt weirded out since she usually laughs at stuff like this, but I shrugged it off and listened to the teacher.

Later that day, I decided to sleep at lunch after what happened to me earlier.

I was surprised when someone tapped me before I was about to fall asleep.

"H-Huh?" I reacted as I looked for the person who tapped me.

"Hey, Are you okay?" The person asked.

"Y-yeah I'm fine, Just gotta rest for a bit," I quickly answered. "Okay then," She left after smiling.

It was Xilliene who went to me. I wonder why.

I didn't get to sleep since I still kept wondering why she did it. I just went outside and had a bite to eat.

"What was that all about bro?" My friend asked me.

"What was what?" I asked.

"You fell asleep in class," He asked.

"I was sleepy, Leo," I answered.

"Whatever, Man," He answered as he laughed. "You really looked funny earlier bro," he added as he kept laughing.

"I sure did," I replied, Still thinking about why Xilliene talked to me in the first place.

As lunch break was over we went back to class.

As the teacher was lecturing l felt drowsy.

Since I didn't sleep at lunch I decide to sit at the back row and sleep.

I never really checked who I was seated with and just trusted that the person won't tell teach that I was sleeping.

"Are you really okay?" The person beside me asked.

As I looked I saw Xilliene smiling at me.

I blushed but tried to hide it. "Y-yeah," I answered.

"Next time try sleeping early okay?" She told me.

"If I didn't rush this project I'd feel fine,"

"Oh, I see," she answered.

"Well you just sleep there, I'll tell you what the lessons after class," She said to me while smiling.

I blushed so much that I wouldnt want to show my face.

"Y-you dont have to do that" I answered. "But I want to do it." She answered.

"Now rest there okay?" She added.

"O-Okay," I answered. Feeling so special that someone like her actually cared.

Before class ended, Someone woke me up. "Hey, we're about to get finished in class," someone called.

I instantly get my head up as I looked at the teacher who was about to leave.

But-- "you there at the back!" The teacher called.

"Y-yes sir?" I responded.

"Come with me, I have something to ask you," he said as I got up and went with him.

As we got outside,

"Don't fall asleep next time okay?" He asked. "Okay Sir," I answered.

"You're lucky someone like Xilliene is covering for you," he added.

"You should thank her," he said again.

"I will, Sir," I answered smiling. "Good," he said before leaving.

As I got back to class most of them have left.

Except for Xilliene, who stayed at her seat.

"X-Xilliene?" I called.

"Oh hey, I waited for you to make sure no one would get your stuff," she said to me.

"You didn't have to do that Xilliene," I said to her while blushing.

"But I wanted to do it," She said. "And please, Call me Xill," she added.

"Umm, Okay Xilli--. I mean Xill," I replied.

"Good!" She said. "Now, let's go home!" She said as she got up and gave me my bag.

As we were walking home ~~

"Is this really happening?" I whispered to myself.

But I guess she heard it.

"Yes its happening," Xill answered.

I blushed as she smiled at me.

"What do you think of me?" She asked me.

"I think I shouldn't be hanging out with you now," I said

"A nobody like me shouldn't even be with you right now," I added.

"Dont say that!" She said with a higher than usual tone.

"I want to hang out with you and that's that!" She added. "R-really?" I asked.

"Of course!" She answered while smiling. "So stop saying that you're nobody, Because you're somebody to me!"

I blushed again. I feel so embarrased.

"I haven't talked to you since everybody sees you as someone so pathetic," she said.

"But that's not how I see you, you're a lot better than that!" She said again.

I couldn't say anything since I still feel embarrassed.

"Dont let other people tell you who you are," she said. "Just be you!" She added.

I felt so happy knowing that someone actually notices me.

"You were actually the only person that didn't treat me so highly," she said.

"Everyone in class, or the whole school, looks at me like I'm so high," she added.

"But I dont want that, I want to be normal, I want to be treated normally," she said again.

"And you're the only one who actually did that to me," she said as she looks at me.

"We're all human, But I dont want to feel like I'm first priority by people I dont even know," She said.

"You give me what I want," she said.

"I really did that?" I replied.

"You treated me normally," she said. "So I will treat you special," she added.

"You dont need to trouble yourself, Xill," I answered.

"But its not troubling for me," she said.

"In fact, I really want to do this," she said.

"Wouldnt the people feel--" I didn't finish when,

"I just told you not to mind other people," She answered.

"O-Okay then Xill," I answered.

She hugs me instantly after hearing what I said.

I blushed after being hugged for the first time. "X-Xill?" I said.

"Umm the truth is, I actually like you," she said to me.

I was shocked.

"What do you mean like?" I asked.

"Like , I love you" she said.

I blushed and got more surprised. "R-really?" I asked.

"Ever since our first day, I have noticed you," she said.

"You really caught my attention," She added.

"How did I do that?" I asked.

"By acting normal in front of me," she said.

"Nobody, Not even our teachers acted normal in front of me, Except you," She said.

"And as I knew more things about you I thought that you were a great guy," she said again.

I kept blushing as I couldn't believe what was happening.

"And, I love you," she said as she was looking at me.

"Y-you love me?" I asked.

"Yes I love you," She answered.

"But, I'm just a nobody," I said.

"Stop downing yourself, you're more than that," She said as she looked me in the eye.

"You're special, to me," she said.

"And I won't let anyone say bad things about you, okay?" She added.

"I don't deserve any of this Xill," I said.

"Its not about deserving anything, I want to give you this," She said. "So please let me love you, okay?" She added.

"Okay Xill, I love you too," I said as I blushed so much. She smiled and look at me. "I love you very much," she said

The whole class laughed at how I looked since I really feel asleep. "So it was just a dream," I said as I looked at Xilliene who was laughing at me too.

"I'm sorry ma'am," I said. "Dont do it again, okay?" The teacher said.

"Yes Ma'am," I said. As the discussion continued.

Later that day, I went out to buy food from the canteen.

"How was your dream?" Someone asked me.

"Pretty much anything that involves Xilliene" I blurted.

"You dreamt about me?" The person asked.

I looked behind me and saw Xilliene that seems to be blushing.

I started to blush.

"W-what about me?" She asked.

"I-It was nothing," I said.

"Let's talk about it," She said as she was offering me a seat.

"I hope you dont find it weird," I said as I started to tell her what happened to my dreams.

Its weird that I still remember about all of it though.

As I told her the whole story, I can notice that she is surprised about what she heard.

We both didn't say a word for quite some time.

"X-Xill?" I asked. "Oh, I mean Xilliene," I changed.

"Y-yeah?" She responded. "We better get going," I said.

"Y-yeah," she replied as we got up and went to class. We never walked together before, so this is the first time.

"Hey, Why dont you sit beside me later?" Xilliene asked me.

"Y-you wouldnt mind?" I asked back.

"Of course not, silly," she said while laughing.

"Okay,sure Xilliene," I replied.

Classes started, but to my surprise I didn't feel sleepy.

"You're not sleepy?" Xilliene asked me.

"The thought of me just being here right now wakes me up," I blurted.

"Oh, Stop it," she said while laughing softly.

I start to realize what I said. "Did I just say that out loud?" I said as I started blushing.

"Dont worry about it," she said while smiling. And I notice that she is blushing a bit too.

It got a bit awkward so I just thought of something to say.

"Xilliene,wanna walk home with me later?" I asked her.

"YES!" She answered loudly that the teacher noticed us.

Everyone starts looking at us.

"What's wrong you two?" The teacher asked.

"Nothing sir, Sorry," we said.

"Its okay, as long as you two are listening to me." The teacher said as he continued the lecture.

I looked at Xilliene who was covering her face. I could notice that she is embarrassed.

I just looked at her while smiling. "You look so cute," the words slipped out of my mouth.

"I didn--" I said before "you look a lot cuter," she said to me.

I felt embarrassed

We both looked at each other to see our blushing faces.

We couldn't say anything. "S-so.. We'll be walking later?" I asked.

"Y-yeah," she said. "Okaay!" I answered.

*thoughts*

'I can't believe we're walking home later' I thought. 'Maybe I'm dreaming again' I thought again.

*Xilliene's*

'Our dreams, it was incredibly similar.' I thought 'maybe it was meant to happen' 'or maybe I'm imagining things'

Classes finally ended, And I can't help but feel excited about it.

"X-Xilliene?" I asked her as I saw her spacing out. "H-huh?" She reacted.

"What are ya thinkin about ?" I asked her.

"I just thought of how similar our dreams were," she said.

"S-seriously?" I asked her.

"Y-yeah," she said. "You were sleepy, I covered for you, you got called out by our teacher," she said.

"And?" I asked out of curiosity.

"We walked home,we kept blushing, and I said I love you," she said as the last part made her blush.

"We had the same dream," I said.

"But everything about it is true" she said.

"What I said in our dreams," she said. "They're all true," she added.

"You dont treat me like someone special, instead you treat me normally," she said.

"I have always wanted someone to treat me normally,And you gave it to me," she said again.

I started blushing again.

"Maybe I was laughing at you earlier,but I only did it so people won't be making any conclusions," She said.

"But to be honest, I have really been in love with you since we first met," she added.

"do you remember that?" She asked.

"Y-yeah,It was when we were in grade school," I said before I realized that we both had the same feelings for each other.

"Y-you liked me ever since?" I asked her. "I loved you ever since," she said.

"do you love me?" She asked me.

"I do, Ever since we met," I said.

We both blushed. "We actually felt the same way," she said. "After all this time," I added.

"Is this another dream," I said. She laughs.

"This is real," she said.

"But what was different is," She said. "In my dream, you were the one who told me everything," She said.

"You told me, You love me" she said.

"You said, I was the only one who didn't see you weird," she said,

"and you didn't really see me as someone high," she added.

"Just like in your dream" she said. "You said I was too kind to you that you didn't deserve it," she said.

"But I really don't deserve it," I said to her.

"You do, you always do," She said.

"You have been doing nothing but treat anyone with kindness," she said.

"that is why I love you," she added.

"We have the same feelings," I said.

"What're we supposed to do?" I asked. "We should treat each other with the love we never showed before," she said.

"By being together," she added. I blushed and felt embarrassed.

"I love you Xilliene," I said. She smiles and says "I love you too," as we hugged each other and we start to go home, TOGETHER!!
