Chapter 11

Alex's POV

'why does the alarm clock sounds different' thinking that I stretched my hand to switch it but then it hit me, it was not my alarm's noise, it is someone knocking at my door. Groaning I lazily got up to see who it is. Opening the door I was engulfed in a bear hug, confused and unable to process anything, then it hit me again, it's Regan, but why is he hugging me.

" Regan, is something wrong?" I asked confused of his behaviour.

"I was scared" he said still not backing away, I sighed and decided to calm him first, so I put my hands around him patting his back to bring him to peace. After a good five minutes he backed away and I saw some tears on his face, this got me worried.

"What's the matter Regan? What made you scared?" I asked while wiping his tears.

"I thought someone took you away" he said in a small voice, I sighed and decided to tell him about yesterday.

"Regan, about the attack yesterday. It's not a new thing you remember I told you about my father?" I asked him to which he nodded, I took his hand and made him sit with me on my bed, " he is now more like a minister you can say, this is not the first and the last time I am attacked" I tried to make him understand.

"So you always have your life in danger!" He exclaimed out of shock, I nodded and once again I am in his arms, " don't worry, I promise I will protect you"

I chuckled and backed away, " you won't be with me forever silly" I said and stood up to get my clothes out.

"I will, if you let me" he mumbled which I couldn't hear because of the distance but when I turned around I found him pouting which made me giggle.

" And someone said they are not cute" I said while giggling.

" Yah I am not cute " he shouted to which I gave him a like -I didn't know the truth- look.

"Okay, I will make breakfast today" with that said I went to the bathroom before he could agrue.

When I came out of the bath, he was not there so I quickly slipped the medicine in my pocket and left the room.

Regan was playing with Boomer, so decided to quickly make breakfast. Rest of the day went off without any much problem and then it was night, it was time for the work.

I made the Dinner and poured the medicine in his bowl, " Regan come have Dinner", he looked at me and nodded.

"What about Boomer?" He asked petting boom's head.

"I will give him his food come you eat too" I said while taking out the food for my pets. He sits to eat while I fill everyone's bowl, Windy came to my shoulder as always, " hi baby, first as always huh" I talked to her and noticed Regan looking at me, but soon looks back at his food.

I shrugged it off and poured everyone's food. Sitting back on the chair I poured some milk shake for myself

"Alex, you are not eating the food?" Regan questioned me which made me nervous but I hid the expression away.

"Hm, to be honest I didn't feel like eating" I said maintaining my calmness, do note the sarcasm.

"Um Okay then, have it when you feel like though", He said looking concerned.

"Sure don't worry I will" I reassured him and continued eating, " did you notice one thing, you started calling me by my name"

He stiffened," do you not like it?"

"It's not that, it's good you are opening up with me", I said like a professional psychologist.

"Oh I see" he said with a pink hue on his cheeks and continued eating silently.

The dinner was silent after that. I successfully gave him the medicine just hope I can keep this up.

It was important to give him the medicine at night cause he is going to fall asleep right after some time.

After he was done I picked his plates and told him to head to bed, after much difficulty he listened and went off.

I cleaned the dishes and went to check on him to find him sleeping already, " as expected the medicine has started it's work " I said to myself going back to my room.
