Little Hua

Day 4 pt 2

Yun was shaken awake by the carriage suddenly stopping midway. Apparently, it was a messenger from the palace carry his majesty's letter it said that the empress wasn't feeling well, in other words, she might go into labor today and so he can't leave her side which means he will have to go to the royal palace directly their meet up had been canceled.

They were already near the capital and so it wouldn't take long for them to reach the palace and Yun excitedly told them to hurry up he didn't want to be late ..he had always loved children and wanted to adopt a little brother for little ying to play with but then Yang had to leave so thought he'll wait.

By the time they reached the news had reached everywhere the whole palace was getting ready to welcome the new heir to the throne.

Born directly from the empress it's going to be either the crown prince or the princess. Thankfully in all the commotion, no one seems to have noticed him much and so he didn't have to deal with their useless worries.

The sight in front of him was one of his brother pacing back and forth and you can hear the empress's voice .. cursing probably and Imperial Noble Consort Bai was near him not knowing what to say or whether she should say anything in the first place.

Yun headed straight for his worried brother who almost immediately hugged him while he told him comforting words and while he was calming down the emperors suddenly, they heard the empress cry hard in pain and his brother tightened his grip on his hand and soon they heard a cry.

Yun watched as his brother tear up a bit as he charged happily towards the maid who handed him the baby and quickly kneeled to announced

" Congratulations your Majesty it's a little Prince "

Noble consort who was near him watching as well quickly went and congratulated the happy couple who was now tearfully holding their child.

Though she was from an influential family she is still without a child and for the better or for the worse the first prince has been born from the empress thus sealing the position of the crown prince.

the emperor and empress were childhood sweethearts and if he ever looked at another woman that would be out of obligation. He sometimes feels bad for his brother's concubines for they knew they will never have a place in their husband's heart. especially the noble consort.

He was broken out of his thoughts by his brother calling out for him as he heads over, he could hear the child laughing but also crying at the same time truly a unique child.

his brother handed the bundle of joy into his arms he didn't know how to explain this feeling it almost made him tear up he turned to look at the little prince who smiled beamingly at him the feeling they felt when they first met ying surged all over him again, behind him he could hear his brother squealing and then suddenly begin about how his son likes Yun more than him only for the empress to hit him for disturbing her rest at this point everyone was used to this.

he turned his head back to the little bundle and extended his hand to slightly touch the little prince only for his hand to be stopped midway by a tiny hand wrapped around his fingers he didn't know what to say or feel at that moment. His brother once again began about how his son likes his uncle more than his father only for him to suddenly stop and get serious Yun guessed that he might have remembered about the empresses rage but then to his surprise his brother instead asked him to name the prince, yes he was his nephew but he still felt a little hesitant but then a tiny pull on his fingers changed his mind he looked down at the adorable prince and said " Xie Hua. Little Hua I hope you grow up to be magnificent just like your name "

Xie Fei was smiled fondly at his family and extended his hands to accept Hua from Yun and quietly asked him to follow him outside.

Yun simply nodded and followed after fei who walked outside to where the ministers were waiting at the sight of the emperor everyone quickly kneeled to pay respect.

After telling them to rise Xie Fei announced to the world that The Crown Prince Xie Hua has been born and thus just like he had guessed the position of the crown prince has been sealed. he didn't really care about what happens to the throne he was happy to have had a nephew a new family member.

he quietly watched little ying as she stared adoringly at the sleeping Hua who was now tightly holding onto the girl's hands. They seem so fond of each other. in the palace, she is still a princess but the stubborn girl still chooses to act like his maid rather than his daughter he always made sure to love her like one despite what she wants. he couldn't help but gently pat the child's head who smiled happily at him looking at the sight before him he wondered when things would go back to how they were.

now that he's here he wants to pay a visit to his old courtyard the peach blossoms must be in full bloom. He sat under the peach blossoms with paper and ink ready to write his fourth letter.

Dear Yang,

We are both imperial uncles now Haha that's right we have a little nephew now little hu'er.

to really want a sibling.

While on that topic I know it's only a few days left but I am still very impatient you know, these days

I've been dreaming of the past about how you sneaked me out, the peach blossom cakes, you running away from uncle Shang and everything, I don't know how many times I've said it but I truly wish that time would stop when I am with you

while signing the letter he noticed something red at first, he thought it might be a peach blossom petal but he was wrong only then did he notice his nose bleeding he quickly wiped it with a handkerchief and threw the handkerchief away not wanting to worry anyone especially not ying she seems so happy after a long while he wouldn't be the one to change that.

He continued to roll and tie the letter and then let out a sigh as he watched the peach blossom petals fly in the air.
