Chapter I - Part 2: Witch and Fangs

System: Draw! Monster card too! Draw! Monster card too! Draw! Monster card too! Draw! Monster card too! Draw! Monster card too! Draw! Monster card too! Draw! Monster card too! Draw!!!

The concrete cement shaped half of the football field on the park, Nicole and Eureka had taken their position.

"To start, we must make sure our stone resonates with each other! Then we both yell-" Nicole took a deep breath, "Duel! And we raises our left hand to the sky like this! Once the decks take their shape, we are ready to jam!" she continued.

"I see! Okay, then..." Eureka took a stance "I'm ready!.

"Let's get set!" Nicole did the same.

"Duel!" at the same time, both girls made their announcement. Simultaneously, from both girls, giant burst of aura emerged behind their body and took a shape despite the transparency.

Nicole made a giant fiery gate, red as sunset. Apparently, something ferocious tried to breach through from the other side of the dimension behind the gate.

Meanwhile, on Eureka, her purplish aura took a shape of a pop-up book with a school-like building that emerged from its page. Eureka witnessed with awe toward the amazement before her eyes, the magical thing she ever made in this world. But there was a catch for her eyes; there was a number '8000' printed on each aura. Everything was happened as it was, which left Eureka fazed in awe. Never had she seen something such terrifyingly beautiful, and real. "Anime moment become real" she whispered to herself.

"First I will demonstrate the play! Draw!" five flying card-like things emerged from the aura-thingy latched on her left hand, with an additional one emerged from her hand and joined the rest, forming into six card-like things following wherever her eyes looking at "This is the card! Focus your mind and then play it! Remember, though! You can only summon monster once, unless you have the card that allow more summon, it's 'special summon' and as its name implies, you can perform many special summons in a turn!"

"Eh?" Eureka frowned, something Nicole said had some merit, or familiar with a term from her last world.

"On each turn, we have six phases! Draw phase, stand-by phase, main phase A, battle phase, main phase B, and lastly end phase!"

Eureka felt a bit confused, not because she could not follow the explanation, and quite the opposite, she was perfectly understood everything. However, despite that, she still obediently listening like a kid being taught a math by the teacher despite she already knew the solution from the cramp school yesterday.

"Anyway, I normal summon Blaze Beast my friend in attack position, Foxy!" she said, as her hand reached on of the card and swung it, as it vanished a beastly figure emerged from a fire that suddenly blazed before her. A fox with calm expression stood in four with small flame clad on its body. A holographic panel appeared beside it, 1500/200 it said with three stars lined above the numbers. Above the panel, there was another one with 'Blaze Beast Foxy' printed above it.

"The number separated with a slash beside them is the attack point slash defense point! Above the numbers are the level, in this case, Foxy is level three! Above it is the name of the monster, you see? Blaze Beast! Also, about attack and defense points, it is used for battle! If monster attack, it will uses its attack points to damage a player by direct attack!

But with a monster in your field, I must attack your monster, however, here's the catch! I can still deal a damage to you if I make my monster to attack your monster in attack position too!

If monster with higher attack points attacks your monster in attack position with lower attack, the difference between higher attack and lower attack will be substracted from your Life Points, which the '8000' printed on your aura! Also the monster with lower attack points will be destroyed by battle!

To prevent this, you can put your monster in defense position! If a monster with higher attack points attacks a monster in defense position with lower defense point, you will not take damage, but monster with lower defense point is destroyed!" Nicole instructed the battle rule, however before she was able to continue her explanation, Eureka interrupted her by raising her hand.

"But, what if you attack my defense position monster with monster that has a lower attack points? Let's say, I have a monster in defense with 2300 and you attack with your Foxy, which is 1500 attack points?" Eureka threw her question.

"That's oddly specific amount of defense value? Anyway, the monster is not destroyed normally, but basically since I attack your high defense points monster with lower attack points monster I have, I will the take damage according to the difference between the defense and attack! Basically, I take 800 damage to my Life Points!"

But enough that! Since it is the first turn, I cannot battle, so I end my turn with just Foxy on my field! Go, take your turn!" Nicole gestured with her thumb to pass the turn for Eureka.

"Okay, my turn, draw!"

Same as Nicole, she had just gotten herself six cards. She touched one of them and a holographic panel made of her aura emerged with the property of the card she touched. It sure surprised the unwary Eureka, causing her reacted with "Eep!". She then took a step back and controlled her breath.

"It's okay, I understand!" Nicole cheered for her.

Eureka calmed down, then continued to inspect each card in her possession. As she inspected one by one, she felt all but pleasant and excitement mixed in her heart, as it raised her lips into a smile.

(This is just exactly an isekai-ripoff of Y*-G*-O* from my world! Holy shit!)

"I, uh... sorry! I will normal summon this one in attack position!" like that she mimicked everything Nicole had done to perform a summon, pinned the cards between two fingers, swung it as she chanted a normal summon. "Mayukari the Light Magi Barrier, shine bright into the battle!"

A star-shaped sigil appeared on the ground before her, and from that little girl magically emerged, wearing a white shirt, black shirt, and coned hat similar with a star ornament on top of it, gave a vibe of a little witch with 1500/1000 and level 4.

"Hmm, good summon! But don't forget you can actually active her effect, I think it is the second one!" Nicole reminded her.

"Thanks! Let me reading for a while! Cannot neglect a basic human skill even with amnesia!" she replied. Surprisingly, she was able to recognize the letter, or more like the letter in this world was exactly the same as what was used in her former world. She was surprised at first, but her excitement of reading those nostalgic texts prevent her from being startled for second time.

"Okay, I active Mayukari's effect!" she declared, then from her hand, she revealed one of her card. "By revealing Dark Mirror Force from my hand, I can add one card named Fukayami the Dark Magi Barrier to my hand!" then a single card emerged, joining the other cards in her arsenal.

"I believe this is all! So, what should I do next?" Eureka wondered and thought aloud that Nicole actually could heard her.

"Enter the battle phase, silly girl!" Nicole replied, "Also, you can just end your turn if you decided to not attack!" she then added.

"Geez, calm down! You will get your turn soon!" with the same gesture, except she took three card at once. Then three cards in larger size emerged on the ground before Eureka, facing toward the ground. "I just set three of my cards, I end my turn! Come on, your turn now!"

Nicole was baffled, mouth a bit opened for seconds, eyes slightly wide opened. "D-draw..." still fazed, or rather amazed, she drew her card. "Did you just set your cards, even though I did not tell you about it?"

"Uh, I've..." Eureka glanced left and right, as if she was hoping an excuse magically appeared in her mind, "Uh, you can't?" hiding her panic, she pretended to act innocent with guilty looks.

"Uh, no, you can!" Nicole completely bought the act, "Well, let's say you have a card named Spell and Trap card!"

Eureka, unknowingly by Nicole, put her hand clenched on her chest (I knew it! It's a Y*-G*-O* from this world!)

"Unlike yellow and orange colored card-the Monster card, Spell card is the green card and Trap is the pinkish one! Spell can be activate, but Trap card must be set first, like what you've done over there!" Nicole said, pointing toward those three cards behind Mayukari, in front of Eureka.

"Well, since this is my turn again, I will show you a special summon! I normal summon Blaze Beastwoman Centa! Oh did I told you that you cannot normal summon monster in defense position?"

Beside Foxy, another fire appeared yet bigger in size. A figure of woman in red bright armor emerged with half of her body of a beast clad in a fire in same manner as Foxy, and flaming axe that looked like a burning ingot in her hand. The holographic panel revealed 1800/200 and Level 4.

"I use her effect to special summon one Blaze Beast Harey from my hand!"

Once again, fire blazed and a hare-like creature with fur of a fire appeared, 1300/200 Level 3.

"Not yet, not yet! I active Centa's effect by tributing Foxy! She will gain 1000 attack points and able to deal a piercing damage, which I will tell later!" Nicole declared, her hand raised forward toward Foxy, which had engulfed by fire that fed Centa's axe, causing it burnt even brighter, with 2800/200. "Also, since Foxy is sent to my Graveyard, I can active its effect to target your Mayukari and negates her effect! Oh, and at the same time, since it sent from my field due to Centa's effect, I can special summon a Beast-warrior monster from my deck too!" Nicole still continued, then a fire in a shape of fox solidified behind her. It had its eyes glared ablaze, consumed with devastating will, the next was it flung itself toward Mayukari.

"I use Mayukari's first effect!" Eureka responded by revealing a card from her hand, Mirror Force, "By revealing a "Mirror Force" card, I can have Mayukari negates an effect that would target a single card under my control! I negate your Foxy's effect!"

Before the flaming fox crashed itself, or so Eureka thought, Mayukari casted a magical circle with her hands, which turned into a barrier of light that shielded herself from the flame fox, canceling its effect.

"Oh, I failed to special summon! Anyway, I still have Beast-warrior yet to special summon from my deck! I use Blaze Call Spell from my hand! Come forth, rumble and makes your foe tremble before your beautiful and raging fire, Blaze Beastwoman Mino! Since her summon has a successful one, I add a Blaze Beast card, an Equip Spell, Blaze Beast Flaming Lancea!"

Like a searing fire consuming the savanna, a never-ending wild fire that knew no stopping but engulfing everything before it, a giant creature marched into the field. Clad in inferno of heavy armor, the fire began to take shape of woman with pair of menacing horns, a beastly figure below half of her body, and burning metal gauntlet on right arm.

"That was the third summon in a turn..." Eureka bit her thumb. Adrenaline began to rush alongside her blood, pumped by heart.

"Surprised? Then, how about, I activate Mino by tributing Blaze Beast Harey to destroy one of your face-down card in the middle!"

As Harey engulfed in a blaze, it then consumed by Mino's gauntlet which caused its flame to roar even more, and with that said gauntlet, Mino slammed the rock which created a crevice of erupting heat from the earth, which reaching toward the card in the middle, causing an explosion and destroyed it. Eureka had nothing to do but to witness how real it felt, the heat, the impact, and how loud it was.

"Not enough! Not yet, I'm still on going!" Nicole claimed, enjoyed every sparks and sears she had caused. "I use Harey's effect to change Mayukari into defense position, and since Harey is sent by Mino's effect, I will add Blaze Beast Warwol from deck!" she said, then another card emerged, joined other cards she possessed in her hand. At the same time, a fire in hare-shape magically emerged while creating a trail of fire, encircling Mayukari and bound her, which seemed to weakened her.

"Surprise, surprise, Eureka! Battle phase!" Nicole exclaimed, "Centa, attack the defense position Mayukari!!"
