Chapter I - Part 3: More Spell Less Beast

System: Hey, my card got discarded by their effect! No explanation, nothing- it is discarded! I got nothing wrong! No tribute, no pay LP, just got discarded! I was jokingly, JOKINGLY, say I draw a card! I don't draw a card! People with big brain knows I did not draw! It's a joke! A JOKE!

The burning ingot of Centa's axe glowed with infernal roaring like purgatory, creating an illusion of growing in size. One of her hindleg kept scratching the ground, creating sparks of fire and hoofs as burning as the blade, just a glimpse anyone could feel the heat. And thus, under Nicole's order, Centa charged with the burning axe toward incapacitated little witch.

Eureka braced herself, thought she was mentally unprepared for it "I guess I will take the attack--"

"Oh, oh!" Nicole overheard her and gestured her finger, "You seems forget about piercing damage, Eureka?" she said, then continued explaining "Piercing damage can deal a Life Points damage against even a defense position monster!"

The giant axe smeared with infernal had been swung against the helpless Mayukari, obliterate the witch into almost nothing but sparkles of yellow lights. However, it did not stop with just the destruction of Mayukari alone. Bunch of flaming orbs shot toward Eureka and detonated on contact with her, as she was too late to shield herself with her two hands.

Eureka LP: 8000 -> 6800

"Eureka? Eureka! You okay?"

Soon the smoke from the detonation vanished. Eureka, still in her defensive stance, stood there wondering, "It didn't hurt?" she said.

"Of course, it isn't! Those are magic of Maestra! However, please be wary that once your LP goes to zero, you lose! Anyway, I continue to attack with Mino!"

Mino too, she charged with her flaming gauntlet prepared to lunge at Eureka. However, no fear or anxiety had expressed on her lips widen a bit to form a confident smile. "I flip one card I set, Blazing Mirror Force! I shall fight fire with fire!" she declared.

The card on the leftmost raised, Blazing Mirror Force, and from it three lashes of flame appeared from it. Barrier of roaring flame as hot as Mino's searing flame gauntlets, formed to block the fiery punch. The contact between the two was resulting in a brutal explosion that destroyed not only Mino and Centa, but also, damaging Eureka with the impact and the bursting flame, same explosion also affected for Nicole.

Eureka LP: 6800 -> 4600

Nicole LPL: 8000 -> 5800

"Blazing Mirror Force--Eureka, that was crazy! How even showed no hesitation?"

Eureka was recovered from the explosion, but after being questioned, she seemed to try hiding something, but soon she claimed, "I was reading everything I had so, I guess I have plan! And using Blazing Mirror Force is one of my plan!" then scratched the back of head, and giggled a bit. Of course it was an act to deceive Nicole and she felt bad for it. After all, Nicole still thought that Eureka was the same Eureka she knew, and the current Eureka simply did not want to hurt the girl's feeling.

"You're quite open with your strategy, but I cannot wait to see how you execute it! I set two cards, and that's the end for my turn!"

"My turn again, draw!" Eureka took a glance at the card she pulled before putting it along with the other. "I normal summon a Magi Barrier! Let's go witch of the night, Fukayami!"

Then a sigil of crescent moon appeared with purplish lights glowed on it, followed by mysterious miasma surrounding the sigil. A figure of girl in dark robe solidified from a miasma, emerged with broomstick and oversized coned hat. Her appearance spelled ominous no matter where ones would look at. Spellcaster monster with 1000/1500 and level 4.

"I use Fukayami's effect! By targeting Mayukari in my Graveyard, I can set a "Mirror Force" from deck! However, I cannot use it unless you attack, right?" Eureka did the act again, an act of a complete newbie, just to trick the poor girl across the duel field.

"Every kind of Trap card, and specifically, a Quick-action Spell card cannot be used the turn it is set, so you have to wait the next turn! But other kind of Spell cards can!"

"I see, thank you!" Eureka said, paused but then she procced to the play, "I just read it, but anyway, since I have no monster except Magi Barrier, I think I can special this one in attack position! I hope I'm doing it right! The raging sandstorm, come forth, Sunarashi!"

Beside Fukayami, a sigil with three lines forming a picture of hills appeared, followed by sandstorm brewing out of nowhere. From the sigil, a tornado made of sands raging creating a vortex, where a figure of girl solidified. Sunarashi, another witch in light brown robe and hair as golden as sand, 1700/2300 level 5.

"Oh, so that is the one with 2300 defense you were asking, huh? So, will you use her effect or not?" Nicole taunted.

"Well, yeah! I mean, I activate Sunarashi's effect by targeting, uh, I target Foxy in your Graveyard! Since it is a fire, I can resurrect a Magi Barrier that is not fire, which is the one and only star, Mayukari!"

Yellowish light come out from the aura of Eureka's left hand, then glided into the field. As the light touched the ground, sparks of stars popped and Mayukari reappeared from the field where the light was touching.

"I use Mayikari's effect once again! Now I add, uh..."

Nicole tilted her head upon noticing Eureka pausing, "What's wrong?"

"No, nothing! Just, reading--yeah, I'm reading!"

"Okay, I will wait! But when you duel someone, make sure don't make them waiting for too long! It's not polite here to stall without doing any form of play!"

"Yeah, even I hate when a boy makes me waiting the whole life to confess!" Eureka replied, which then Nicole reacted with a burst of laugh, followed by Eureka laughing her stomach out too. "Nice one!" Nicole said, approved her.

"Anyway, I decide my choice on Oborezu!" Eureka revealed her card before returning it to her hand, which she then took one to play, "I then activate Spell, Barrier Crafting Manual to add Storming Mirror Force, as well as Fuzukaze since she states 'Storming Mirror Force' in her effect!"

"Oh, nice! A single card that let you add two different cards! Those Ritual lovers and Fluffal pilots have one, but I kinda forgot! Anyway, what will you do next?"

"That's all I can do for now, I will attack! Mayukari, go!"

With a single attack order, Eureka sent Mayukari into the attack. Wishing upon star, the witch summoned a star-shaped magic and showered toward Nicole. However, quite the contrary for being attacked, Nicole was stood there silent, but as Mayukari's stars got closer and closer to get her, a grin emerged from her smile, "I activate Trap card, Infernal Trap Hole!"

Just before Mayukari delivered her blow, the ground below them trembled. Crevice emerged, eventually crashed due to pressurized heat from the below ground, creating an explosion that created giant chasm of searing flame and roaring blaze. Sunarashi and Fukayami fell into the hell, no matter if they could fly to escape, the flaming hands from the chasm cased and caught them, pulling the unfortunate into the pit, destroying them into pieces of purple and brown sparks. Mayukari had manage to escape the purgatory if there was no lance mysteriously levitated for her to grapple.

"I reveal my last set card, Forbidden Lance!" Mayukari, get into it!"

Nicole LP: 5800 -> 5100

"Surprised much? Infernal Trap Hole can be activated when your monster declares an attack, as long as I have a Fire monster in my Graveyard! I can destroy any number of monsters on your field equal to number of Fire monsters in my Graveyard!"

Mayukari's attack had reached Nicole by direct attack, but Eureka had to lose two of her monsters in the process, not to mention that Forbidden Lance dropped Mayukari's attack points from 1500 to 700 in exchange of immunity against Infernal Trap Hole, which in the end just dealt a small amount of direct attack as a result. "I end my turn!" she exclaimed, still slightly trembled from the bizarreness that just happened before her eyes, "That's quite a stunt you pulled out there, Nicole! Did I often get caught by your Infernal Trap Hole?"

"Not really, sometime you manage to make a great escape for your Magi barrier! You rarely got caught on it! Guess, the bad side of amnesia causes you to forget lots of your cards?"

"I kind of hate this amnesia now..."

While trying to assessed the whole situation, Eureka once again read the remaining cards in her hand. She even had the access to read cards that just activated and in both Graveyards by simply thinking about it. The magic sure was convenience, she thought.

"Infernal Trap Hole, huh?" Just thinking about it, Nicole sure was completely prepared, Infernal Trap Hole stated; 'When your opponent declares an attack: destroy any number of monster they control equal to the number of Fire Monster in your Graveyard.' She could just flip the card and wipe the whole monsters Eureka had, but since Magi Barrier only negates an effect that would target a card, none were able to negate that card to avoid the great lost, rule-wise and phrase-wise.

"I set two more cards, and that's the end of my turn..." Eureka bits her thumbs, "At least I can stall for more turn--"

"Before you completely end your End phase, I reveal my last set card, Quick-action Spell, Mystical Space Typhoon!" Nicole exclaimed, refused to even let Eureka took her breath, "If my luck goes well, I will have the last you have set!"

Nicole had destroyed "Storming Mirror Force" successfully, leaving Eureka reacted with disbelief, eyes wide opened, "No way?!" she responded toward the destroyed card.

"I got it correct! Draw!" her smile went even brighter and wider, "I will win this tutorial, Eureka! I use my Spell, Infernal Drop! I sent Blaze Beast Caty from my deck to active its effect to special summon another Blaze Beast from deck, which will be Blaze Beast Wolfy!"

And thus, a fiery wolf-like creature emerged from the searing flame. Unlike those who were looking calm and docile, this one was snarled at Eureka. Its sharp and blazing sunset eyes locked at her, like predator toward the prey.

"Oh, oh, I also play this card, Flaming Lancea that I added before! I resurrect Centa back into the field and give 1000 attack points for her! Of course, upon her arrival, I use her effect to special summon more Blaze Beast from my hand, Warwol!"

Followed by centaur-like creature from before with giant burning axe, the other creature was as ferocious and burning as other, Warwol, a humanoid creature with features of wolf on ears, limbs, as well as a long and searing tail of blaze. Warwol was geared with a dagger that seemed like it was taken right from the blacksmith cauldron.

"I uses Warwol to return the other three Blaze Beast monsters back from Graveyard to my deck and draw 2 more cards!"

"You still take more cards despite the advantages... greed is not good, you know?" Eureka wondered.

"There's no thing such as overly prepared, Eureka! I normal summon more Blaze Beast monster, another copy of Foxy into the field!" she declared, and with that, a rank of beasts clad in blaze had been formed. Wolfy, Centa, Warwol, and Foxy. "Hmm, two hands, Oborezu and Fuzukaze, right? On field, Mayukari and a set card from your very first turn, hmm? I use Warwol to tribute Wolfy, which inflict damage equal to Wolfy's attack!" as she execute an attack, a fireball emerged from the tributed Wolfy absorbed by Warwol's flaming dagger, which searing upon successfully absorbed. Then in a single swing, a sickle wave of inferno was flung toward Eureka, slashing through her before she could react.
