Out on Elim street, he was stuck looking at the world around for several minutes, it was extremely unusual for him to see this city whole and full of people driving around in ordinary cars. Minsk is the capital of Belarus, accommodating two million people, one of whom was eighteen-year-old Elim. After a couple of minutes, the guy came out of his stupor and moved towards a large park in the south of the capital, it was quite far to go, but he had enough time left, and he would like to walk and enjoy the lively city. An hour and a half later, Elim entered the park and went a little deeper, sat down on a bench and waited, which he had learned over the course of several centuries was patience. For several hours the guy sat in the park in the same place, practically not moving and just listening to music, then another hour and a half passed - the day was drawing to a close, but the guy was patiently waiting. He did not remember the exact time, it was already dark - that was what he remembered, and until his phone showed that the next day had come, he would not budge.
All this time he watched the people around: someone was running, someone was riding a bicycle, some were just walking and having fun. Elim really wanted his dream to remain a dream, and this, maybe not the best, but living world, remained so. Unfortunately, his wish was not destined to come true, about an hour and a half before the end of the day, when there were practically no people in it, the earth began to tremble, and after a few seconds everything began to shake. Elim grabbed the bench and began to look into the center of the park, where a huge gate began to appear from the ground, looking like an entrance to an underground cave. After a couple of minutes, everything settled down, there was some destruction from the earthquake, but nothing serious, the main change was the gates that appeared all over the world from nowhere.
"This is definitely a damn dungeon," thought Elim, looking at the gates in which only darkness was visible. His gaze hardened and he ran towards them. "We need to be in time before the fucking gatekeeper appears, this time everything will be different" - Elim drove at full speed to the entrance to the dungeon and a minute later he passed through the black curtain and found himself in a stone cave, illuminated by strange glowing blue crystals that protruded from the walls, ceiling and even the floor.
And here nothing has changed, everything is like the first time, - said Elim, examining the place in which he found himself.
He was in an elliptical tunnel, in which twenty people could walk in a row, according to his estimates. The walls were very uneven, of gray stone, in some places the rock protruded quite strongly and sometimes such a ledge was quite sharp, no stalactites or stalagmites were observed, and the floor and ceiling were more or less even, the largest ledges were glowing crystals.
Elim drew his weapon from its scabbard and cautiously walked forward, thanks to the crystals, he had a good view and saw the path several tens of meters ahead, until he noticed any side branches, so he did not have to worry that his escape route was blocked. Even knowing full well about the monsters and traps of this dungeon, he moved with the utmost caution - you never know what might happen in the damn dungeon.
The goal of this campaign was to become the "Reborn" and, in the absence of danger, to get a couple of trophies. "Reborn" were people who were able to awaken magic within themselves, this could be done in three ways: to kill someone who has already awakened magic within himself, which was actually tantamount to killing any monster in the dungeon, or to study a skill book that could appear after death these same monsters, or wait until the magic awakens naturally.
In any case, now there was no one to get these skill books, so this option was excluded, and since he could not wait until he became "Reborn", only the first option remained. A couple of minutes later, the first side tunnel appeared ahead, and as soon as Elim saw him, he began to walk very quietly, trying to make a minimum of noise. Such lateral branches were common and varied in size, sometimes they were only a couple of meters long, and sometimes they could be longer than the main tunnel in which a person appeared after entering the dungeon. But most importantly, monsters often hid in such tunnels, so Elim quietly sneaked to see what was in this branch. Approaching the edge, he carefully looked into the side tunnel - it was empty, as in the main, crystals illuminated everything several tens of meters ahead. "The tunnel had no branches, the tunnel itself was empty, so there is no need to wait for trouble from here, at least the probability is low"
Although there were no signs of monsters, Elim added this branch to the dungeon map in his head, anything can happen, it's a fucking dungeon! After checking the branch, the guy went further, after a couple of hundred meters he found another one - it was more authentic, but also empty, after that he checked two more, but they were also empty. All the time Elim walked, he made a map in his head.
