Machanations of a God and Alter of Khorne

While Adrian was having his adventure and was making contact with one of her more favored gods, the goddess was observing the reincarnators she had in her control. Besides Adrian, she had 3 more, but out of those three 2 were already designated as kill targets.

The third was her favored one that was showing great potential who she was nurturing with most of her favor. Adrain was the newest one and so far had shown great promise. While he was a man who enjoyed sex, he did not crave it like it was the most important thing.

He was a battle maniac and he found the battlefield as fun. However, as she looked at the two fools who were spending all their time making kids and going after every hole they could get instead of training which did not suit her fancy.

She did not care if they got harems or women, but they should at least choose them for power not looks. Even now they had some random human women in their harems who had nothing special about them other than they could suck cock.

They too shortcut to power and frankly, she found them an eyesore. She could kill them with a snap of her fingers, but she had a better use for them. She found Adrian quite interesting so she would favor him just like Kurayami.

Not just anyone would ask for a system like Dark Souls as a means of getting stronger.

"I got it, I will use my two failures as training. I already plan on getting rid of them, but I got to get Kurayami ready to enter 40k as well. He is more focused on Scarlet right now which has him motivated. Knowing him and Adrian they would get along which they will have to."

She focused on her two favored ones and even though she was one of the primordial she was always looking for interesting things to do. She stood up from her throne as she connected to her servant Khorne.

When the Lord of Skulls and Blood heard her voice he trembled in his throne with excitement. Whenever she contacted him bloodshed was sure to follow.

"Khorne, I want you to keep pushing Adrian to grow. If you need to push him the hard method have at it. I am sure the end result will be interesting for both of us."

Khorne stirred in his throne as he obeyed the order of his secret master. No one knew he served someone else, not even his demons. As for Adrian, he knew the gods were scheming with him, but he didn't care. It was the price to get his leg back and to enjoy life to the fullest.

Currently, he was watching the sky as his three dragons circled like flying mountains. It also meant he had to work even harder if he wanted to make a dent in Warhammer when he went over.

Tyranids and Orks would be fun foes to fight if he was strong enough. Plus, the Imperium of Man was not so much better with their crazy fanatical sacrifice of their own people for the greater good.

"Hate that saying."

He had so much to do, but now that he had some of his knights and his dragons it would be so much easier. As he looked at the dragons he was glad he has used up one of his wishes for this class. Dragons are awesome and anyone who said otherwise was a fool.

They also already found Gwyndolin who was shitting himself in terror. He focused on his connection to the three dragons and gave them a directive. These were much smarter than Russ, but they did not speak.

'Amara, capture Gwyndolin for me. Try not to kill him as I want to, but you may do so if you wish.'

The Everlasting Dragon did not hesitate and swooped down toward the tomb of Gwyn where Gwyndolin took up guard. The giant dragon's claws took hold of the roof off the tomb and ripped it off easily allowing her to look down at the last god in Anor Londo.

The god of the Dark Moon looked at the titanic beast in front of him and got ready for his death. Amara reached out and took hold of the god of the Darkmoon taking him to her master. Adrian who was still in the giant hole did not have to wait long.

Gwyndolin was dropped in front of him and from the look of it was terrified and yet resolute. He was not as strong as his father and could not fight a true Everlasting Dragon at all. Adrian drew his longsword and held it execution-style over his neck.

"This is for my knights."

A single sword swing cleaved the last god's head from his shoulders giving Adrian his soul. He did not know if he should absorb the soul or not as he did not know much about it He stored it away before he walked toward Amara.

"Thank you, girl."

She nudged Adrian with her snout so he ran his hands down her stone scales. The jealousy of Seath, as without them he was just an inferior breed. Amara flew back into the sky at his order and looked in the sky as Russ was flying down.

From the look of it, the Drake was feeling inferior and was scared that the dragons would try to eat him. When he landed Solaire, Seraphine, and Sif jumped off his back as they looked at the sky at the dragon.

Adrian smirked as he looked at his group.

"I'd like you to meet the last three dragons, Amara, Devastator, and Scorn. Not only that, I found 11 of my knights."

Solaire and Seraphine were surprised as they were sure all of them were dead.

"Where are they?"

At that moment the elevator went down with the 11 remaining Fume Knights and from the look of it, they had recovered enough to walk around. It was still easy to see the malnutrition and injuries they had but compared to before it was an extreme change.

Each one was at least 8 feet tall except for August who stood at 10 feet tall. He was just a bit shorter than Adrian and seeing them alive made Seraphine and Solaire understand why the Fume Knights were such a powerful order.

Adrian looked at Solaire and Seraphine as he introduced them.

"These were the elite of my knights. The big guy is August, but the rest I forgot their names. I think the short one is Cabbage."

The one he pointed at had tick marks appear on his face. He hated being called Short, but he really was the shortest left over. Plus his name was actually Carnage, not cabbage. It was the name he named himself.

"I am not short captain."

Another knight placed his hand on his head and laughed.

"Shortest of us all Cabbage."

August broke out laughing as he was truly glad they could joke around again. They were finally back with their captain and even though it was barely a fraction of their old numbers, they could rebuild the order.

"Captain, you got any more of those magic mushrooms? Also, we also are starved and some real food would help us out."

Adrian sighed and bought about 200 more as they were pretty cheap. He placed them all at the base of a statute which made them rush at it like starved breasts. They started to devour the magic mushrooms which improved sped up their healing even faster.

Solaire and Seraphine watched on as they continued to gorge themselves. Each passing shroom caused them to return closer to their peak of strength. As they ate they all were joking around in a merry mood. This was the best after so long of being imprisoned.

Adrian stopped joking as he had something to do with the heads at his waist.

"You all stay here, I got some work to do."

August stopped eating as he saw the two heads on his waist.

"Captain, what do you plan to do wiht those heads? Knowing you there is a reason."

All of the knights had seen the heads and they did not care. Still, they wondered if their captain now wanted to take human heads of trophies like the Eastern Lands. From what they heard it was pretty common to take the heads of foes for rewards.

"Well, there is a price for my resurrection. As you know when giants and lords die, we die. Unless we are caught in this blasted curse of this dying land. This convoluted space and excuse for a world."

They nodded as it was the only reason the giants and silver knights would come back no matter the number of times killed. They were unlucky to be stuck in the time loop of the fading of the fire.

"Well a certain god wants me to make him an alter. They are quite powerful, but we both serve the same master inversely. A goddess of death who wants us to do as we usually do."

Harold could guess what it was.

"Kill? Sounds like us."

They all got quiet as they looked at Adrian's face. August walked to Adrian and stood at his side without a second of hesitation.

"You got my loyalty captain. No matter who you have to serve. We Fume Knights served Anor Londo, but no longer. We serve you now captain."

The rest had finished eating and all of them walked to Adrian without a second thought.

"August is right. You are our leader captain. No longer to do we serve this dying excuse of a kingdom."

Adrian nodded as it was time to make the alter as he promised. The first thing he needed was heads and a lot of them. Good thing he had stored many giant and silver knight bodies so on the highest tower he made the pile of harvest heads.

He stabbed the head of Ornstein on a pike as the Fume Knights watched with glee at the end of their tormentor. Adrian cut his hand and used his blood to draw the mark of Khorne on the head.

He stabbed it down in front in the middle of the pile and the knights could already feel the aura radiating from the alter. He kneeled at the pile of heads and brought out the head of Gwyndolin and threw it in the pile.

He cut his palm and placed it on the pile of gore.

"Skulls for the Skull Throne, Blood for the Blood God."

The moment he finished the offer the brand of Khorne glowed bright red as the skulls glowed bright red.

-Blessing of Khorne received: Bloodletter. In the field of battle the more blood you spill the greater might you may draw from slaughter.

'Fine, whatever you do not connect me to the Warp.'

Once he finished the alter the Fume Knights felt the power of the Alter as it glowed red. Adrian stood up as he looked at the large pile of Skulls with a bit of red light in his eyes. The system did not lie and he did not feel any different.

"I am finished. We need to get you guys back in shape and armed again. August, I know where you may find a Swordspear that came directly by the First Born."

August sighed in relief as that Swordspear meant a lot to him. It was gifted directly from the First Born in the Age of Ancients, who all the Fume Knights respected. They did not know what their captain had to pay to come back, but they felt it would not have been cheap.

Now that he had a small number of the former might of the Fume Knights back he felt a bit more at peace. He was glad this alter to Khorne would not lead to a giant incursion of Chaos here.

They all went to the giant blacksmith who was more than happy to make them their armors and weapons again. Now that Anor Londo was pretty much his to rule, Adrian knew he would turn it into his personal base for the time being.

He avoided resting at the Bonfire as it would reset all the giants and silver knights who were going to have a bad future. If they struggled with one Fume Knight, how would they deal with 11 who all were rusty and had a grudge against them?

For now, he had several things to do as he had to get Kalameet in the past. To do that he had to get the doll in the Undead Asylum and he also still had several areas to complete. It was a chore, but he had a feeling to rescue Pricilla.

Call it a vibe, but he felt there was more to his relationship with her than he expected.

(Oh, I realized that Adrian is a bit taller than a Space Marine safe for the God-Emperor and a few others. His knights are about the average height of a Space Marine for context)
