Chapter Twelve

I opened her message immediately because it looks like an emergency kind of message.

Thea:

Hey! Why are you absent?

I didn't even reply when she called me suddenly though I swiped it to answer her call.

"Why are you absent?" that's what she said after I answered the call.

I lay down first before answering her question, "I woke up late."

"Then? You could've quickly prepared." she replied like it was an obvious thing to do.

"If I do that, I could've been late for our first subject. I can't do that so I opted for a better option."

"You're crazy." and I can almost hear her shaking her head out of amusement.

I shifted my hold on my phone and put it on my left ear, "So, why did you call me?"

"Hmm... I just called to ask you that question."

"Is that really the reason why you called?"

She laughed, "Uhhh! You know me so well... so I called because I was worried."

My forehead creased when she said that. "You're worried about what?"
