RITA'S POV

"Mom, will you stop crying?" I mumbled in embarrassment.

People were looking at us like we did something. Yea, Pilipino eyes...

"I ca-nt sto-p crying!" She tangled as she speaks.

"Mommy, Rita will be back after she closed the deal. She'll be with us soon." Ellah uttered some comforting words to mom.

I roll my eyes, a sign of I am irritated. Perhaps, I understand mom's actions. She doesn't really want me to leave the firm she built for me and moved into a new one.

She still thought I'm a baby and I shouldn't have act like an adult.

Yea, I know it's too childish but what can I do? I love her more than anything. Both of them.

"Alright, my flight is coming. Ellah, take care of mommy okay, and don't be so stubborn." I pinpoint her while giving her my words.

"Yah, yah.. I'll be good don't worry sister," Ellah uttered in a teased way.

She always does that.

"Baby? are you really sure about this? we can still fix this...please." mom pleaded in front.

I smiled as she smiled back bitterly.

"Im fine and it would be nicer if you stop crying. After the deal, I'll come back here but not in the firm yet." I uttered and slowly I walk away from them.

They wave their hands while mom is crying. Ellah was beside her, tapping her back to calm down.

If my dad misses me a lot when I left Japan. My Mom is damn misses me even if I went to other places, like manila.

It's always been like that ever since. Well, they do also to Ellah what they show to me. They wanted to be fair and not felt any insecurities on different sides.

For me, I don't have issues if Ellah had things that I don't have. It's not about the material things you bought in designer brands.

It's all about your learning and hard works. They have that thing when they earn. Jewelry is just collections for them but for me, it's all nothing.

Learnings are more important to me. Nothing else, even collections of slambooks.

As I entered the plane. I sense the tiring feeling and all I wanted is to sleep and sleep forever.

AKI'S POV

"What!? Are you out of your mind!?" I shouted after hearing my Grandfathers words.

"Aki, lower your voice." My mom warned me.

"No! Daven is one of the high-class Lawyers! why did you drop him!?"

"Aki! enough for that! will you let your grandpa eat!?" Dad cut me off.

This sucks! they didn't know what they're fucking doing! Grandpa drops Daven because they're one person who deserves the position.

"Aki, Dad didn't drop Daven from the high-class lawyers. We just recommend him in a newly opened firm in Korea," Uncle Dino joined the conversation.

I don't care! they should have done that to others, not to Daven! They're lots of new lawyers here, why don't they pick five to ten employees.

"You should calm down. The hired lawyer or wait. She's a Prosecutor in japan, also in Kores. That's the main reason why your grandfather opens the deal to that girl." Mom mumbled and explain everything.

I held my head cause of frustration and irritation. Grandpa drop Daven and replace by a damn! newbie woman!?

"Tsk! just make sure that lawyer slash prosecutor is smart as Daven." Gritted my teeth and left them in the restaurant.

After screaming all my anger at them. I left the restaurant as nothing happened. Mom called me but I refuse to face her, knowing she knew about this plan.

She should have told me so I can compromise Granpa's decisions. They drop the wrong one, and they replace it with an arrogant girl!?

Are they idiots!?

I drove back to the office to check if the girl they say is already here. They seem so quiet when they saw me shut my eyes and raised my brows while walking.

"Aki! what's with the face?" Amara laughed as she pointed at my unexplainable face.

"Shut up Amy, I don't have time to play with you." I gritted my teeth and continue walking.

The whole firm was quiet and even one of the employees, no one tried to greet me. Nor, offered me some coffee.

When I reach my office, I sat on my swivel chair and opened my laptop. Amara was still with me, standing in front of my desk.

"Do you know about Daven's dropout?" I asked without looking at her reaction.

She'll be shocked after I said those but I didn't hear her complaint. When I face her she just raised her brows while looking at me intensely.

"You do know everything, don't you?" I ask again.

She just nodded and take a look at the phone who beeping on a call or messages.

"You were so busy on something that you couldn't even attend the whole meeting. Attorney Izonel," Amara means everything she said.

"Since when I be--,"

"Since you and my sister, Eliza broke up," Daven interrupted and went inside of my office.

They had cheeks greeting Amara before turning his head on me.

"You!" I pointed him but he just laughs and raised his both hands.

"Hey, chill! Aki, that was my suggestion. I wanted to have some other experience with a different firm," He explained and sat down on the large sofa.

Amara was just looking at her phone, she's texting I think. Cause she's typing lately,

"Tell him the truth Daven," Amara uttered while texting and rolled her eyes.

"Tell what?" Im confused about everything. They're having secrets behind my back!

Fuck you all!

Fuck them all!

"Tell that...." Amara gives suspense in her words.

"Tell the damn what!?" In my anger, I screamed out of them.

"Right! Daven, right! you should tell Aki what! I'm out of this, bye!!!!!" She mumbled in a shout as she slowly walks in the door and runs away.

I turned my gaze into Daven who's now looking away while whistling. He knew whats going to happened if he doesn't tell me the truth.
