Chapter 11

Mother looked tense. More tense than usual.

"Hey mother, why are you acting like that?" I was scared. Whenever she was tense, it meant one thing: training.

"Son," she sighed, "there's nothing new I can train you on."

"Eh." I was shaking to the core, "could you please repeat that again?"

"I say it only once so listen well, there's nothing new I can train you on." Mother looked depressed.

YES. That was the first thought of my mind. I was currently 6, reaching the height of 5,7'. I look more like 14-year-old than a 6-year-old in all honesty. My hair was golden blond, inherited from my mother, and was tied up in a small ponytail. My natural-colored eyes were a hazelnut brown gifted from father and my skin was smooth milky white. My body also looked quite buff, but not buff enough to look like I was using steroids.

My 2-year-old sister, who was beside me, had brown brunette hair, which reached down to her waist and wore a polka dot dress. She was shorter than average and could only stand up around 30 inches and she was genuinely quite frail looking.

"So this means I can train whenever, right?"

She sighs, "yes, of course."

This is what I wanted! 4 years of gruelling training and trying to master the techniques of breaking, I finally have free time. Of course, I have yet to master all of the techniques, as that would be unfeasible with my prepubescent body, but mother had acknowledged that. Hell, it was a miracle that I was even able to master some of them, those being: breaking sound and breaking pain. I have yet to master the art of breaking the limit, breaking heat, and breaking sense. Mother herself was only able to master 4 of them, missing the art of breaking sense.

"Well then, I'll be going now, playing with my cute little sister~" I'd proclaim, holding the little hand of Miki.

Walking with Miki, I went down to the village to see a commotion. Someone was about to depart from the clan due to completing the trial. I was not there on that day because of training, but I did wish I was there to ask what the trial involved. The person who was departing was the blonde female that Pairo talks to quite a bit. She sat upon one of the chocobo looking chickens and was about to leave. She saw me and my sister and waved. I waved back and held my sister's hand to mimic the action of waving.

Why does it feel like I am missing something?

It's been bothering me since the day I've read the book D hunter. "Hey sis, is it fine if we talk to the elder?" She nods and we both continue to walk down the trail to go to his house. Inside the clothed hut was the elder, looking at the book – D hunter.

"Oh, if it isn't Taiyo and Miki, how can I help you?" The elder asked.

I gulped, my nerves are starting to scream at me, "can I ask who the person left is called?" Why am I feeling so tense?

"Oh, his name is kurapika. Why do you ask?"

"Kurapika, Kurapika, Kurapika…" I started muttered. It all made sense. Oh my god. That's what been bothering me. No wonder that title of that book was putting me off.

"Jesus Fucking Christ, were in hunterXhunter" My head started to hurt. "Wait, that means," I glance at my sister and then at the elder, my eyes were turning scarlet, "were the clan that becomes exterminated as part of Kurapika's backstory, oh fucking god."

It made sense. The aura I felt when I was younger was Nen. The red eyes were in fact the scarlet eyes that were going to be gouged out by the phantom troupe. But shit…I didn't read the manga and only read some theories online, and I only remembered some parts of the anime. FUCK. I need to persuade the elder to migrate.

Whilst this was happening, the elder was just confused. To him, Taiyo's eyes turned scarlet for no reason other than hearing Kurapika's name, and his random cursing did not help with his confusion. "Taiyo, are you alright?" The elder stood up trying to calm Taiyo down.

"NO, DOES IT LOOK LIKE IT? FUCK!" Taiyo screamed. Sweat started to form, his brain was trying to process the situation, "That fucking bastard must have set this up. FUCK."

"brother…you're gripping really hard…" Miki weak voice ended Taiyo's thoughts.

"oh sorry sis." He let go of his hand from Miki.

"Brother are you angry with Miki…?" She spoke quietly. Her voice was petite and frail. She was the definition of vulnerability.

"No sorry...sis, your brother just gotten a bit heated up…" Taiyo then smacked himself with his palm, leaving a hand mark on his cheek.

He then looked at the elder and bowed at the elder, "I am sorry elder for swearing at you but please listen to my request!"

He nodded, "sure…go ahead…Taiyo…" He was honestly a bit afraid of Taiyo. From what he can recall Taiyo was only meant to be 6 but the child acts like an adult and looks like one as well, if not for his apparent baby face, he would think he was 25.

"Sir…elder…please migrate the entire clan elsewhere, were in danger."

"Huh?" Shocked, the elder could not compute the situation. Taiyo, the good-mannered kid, entered his home, swore at him, apologized, and then asked for the entire village to relocate. However, it did pique his interest, "can I ask why?"

"Have you heard of the phantom troupe?" said Taiyo.

"Of course, I have- but wait? How do you know what they are?"

"That's not important, but they are coming after this clan, so please relocate" I know towed on the ground, trying to show my utmost respect. "Please elder, relocate the clan, were in danger."

I had a concerning thought. Was the world I in cannon? Were there altercations due to my birth? If there was, it could mean that my parents were not from the main story, therefore there was a chance of the clan surviving from the phantom troupe in this timeline. But what if they were part of cannon, and mother had lost in battle? What then? And there's the potential ending where it wouldn't matter had mother existed in the first place, the phantom troupe would have won anyway. I can't risk it. Especially seeing how weak my sister is. I doubt she could survive the whole ordeal. I'll gladly offer my pride, if it meant my family surviving.

The elder was deep in thought. He then sighed. "Taiyo. Stand up."

He immediately did so.

"I cannot follow your request." The elder said.

"What why? Why not? Do you not believe me?"

"The problem is that there is no where else we can go. I would need to first find new, undiscovered land where there is no inhabitant. And with you giving me such short notice, I am unable to immediately relocate."

Understandable, but FUCK. When did the phantom troupe attack? Today. Tomorrow? Fuck it's like Russian roulette. How the fuck am I meant to know? Fuck. If I can't persuade the elder to move the clan, I'm at least going to go save my parents.

"Thank for at least acknowledging my request." I'd state.

The elder nods and before he says goodbye, I pick up Miki and start to sprint towards our home located in the outskirts of the village.
