Chapter 10

Cathy's POV:

As I thought about what I should wear to meet Ashton tonight my eyes spotted a black laced top and a grey skirt, I then paired it with my black boots and let my short black hair slightly touch my shoulders. It was almost 7, I waited for the text or call that would tell me that he was here. I could say I was excited, I did hate him for a solid 2 years of my life and now out of the blue were on a date together? I know it's too early to question what we were but I can't help but do so. As my mind wandered about the possibilities my phone buzzed, it was a text from Ashton.

Ash🖕🏻: I'm outside your house :)

Cathy : be right there

I smiled as I sent the text, what I just realized is that I'd never changed Ashton's contact name, as I waked out of my house I saw him with his car and a huge smile on his face, he was wearing a leather jacket and a brown turtleneck and he looked hot.

"Don't you look nice" I said as I jokingly-not really winked at him

"I could say the same about you" he said as I got into the car

"So where're we off to?"

"This vintage diner, I found out about a while ago"

"Wait that sounds so cool" I said with a dropped jaw

"I think you're going to like it"

"It had the word 'vintage' in it I already like it" I replied with a huge smile on my face

"I think we're almost there, it isn't that far by"

When we got there, Ashton and I sat on the old yet clean table, there wasn't a lot of crowd which I liked, we both ordered our food, joked and laughed around. This was like the kind of dates you seen in movies or read in books, maybe it was my turn to live the life of a main character because I can say it does feel like it. When the cheque arrived at the table usually it was awkward and weird but with Ashton it wasn't, we both agreed to split it and neither of us had problems with that. One thing that makes guys hotter than they already are is when they don't get but hurt over who's paying or if I want to pay for my share and this was exactly the way I felt about Ashton right now.

"Ok I know we agreed to a long drive but to be honest it does seem boring, do you know anything else we could do?" He asked as we walked to his car

"I have two words for you 'the lake'"

"That's a lot better than the long drive"

"Agreed"

The lake looked kinda different at night, it felt calm and peaceful more than it did during the day. The water looked like it was covered in silver glitter because of the moonlight shining over it.

"The place looks good at night" Ashton said as we sat down on the wooden planks that would lead to the water

"It does, I should've come here at night before"

"Well we're here now" he said

"Tonight was great, I never thought I'd say that to you"

"Yet here we are" he said with a smirk

"I can't be happier that you never gave up on me, I know that I'm not the easiest person and you still being here is just....amazing" I said as I looked into his hazel eyes, his dirty blond hair was slightly over his eyebrows making him look perfect

"If there was one thing I was certain about when I first saw you was that I would one day be with you and as nervous I was about asking you this, now that I'm with you those feelings faded away. So will you be my girlfriend?"

"Ofcourse I will, that way I'll always have someone to roast" I said with a little giggle

"Hey! Those are the wrong reasons" he laughed as he said to me

"Kiss me, for the first time as a couple" I said as I shifted the 'mood', he relied with a smile before I felt his lips on mine. I savored the kiss before we both pulled away.

"I know a lot about your life, tell me a little about yours" I asked

"Well my mom's a single mom, I have two younger siblings Harry and Lauren. The boys and I are in a punk rock band, or atleast we try to be" he said with a small smile

"I'd like to hear you and the boys play"

"We actually practice at Luke's house on Saturdays. You should come"

"I will" I smiled

"I should head home before curfew"

"Same" he said as we both stood up from the wooden planks we were seated on

"Goodnight" I heard Ashton say as we stopped outside my house

"Just one thing" I said before I kissed him

"Night" I said before I walked pout of his car and into my house
