Ch 7

The battlefield stretched before us, a vast expanse of land waiting to be soaked in blood. Our scouts reported that Zhao's forces, numbering close to 80,000, were led by a mysterious general known as Kan Mei, a warrior renowned for his brutal tactics and sheer strength.

On the eve of battle, I gathered my commanders to discuss our strategy. The plan was to divide our forces into three: Shin's Hi Shin Unit would lead a swift assault on the enemy's right flank, while Mou Ten's cavalry would strike from the left. My main force, the bulk of our army, would engage Zhao head-on. If all went according to plan, we would surround and crush them.

As dawn broke, the battle began. The Hi Shin Unit charged into the Zhao forces with ferocity, carving through their ranks like a storm. Mou Ten executed a brilliant flanking maneuver, but Kan Mei had anticipated our strategy. A powerful Zhao cavalry unit emerged from hiding and struck at Mou Ten's men, halting their advance.

Sensing the shift in battle, I personally led my elite guard into the fray. Clashing with Kan Mei's vanguard, I cut through enemy soldiers with precision, my blade dancing through the battlefield. Then, I spotted him—Kan Mei himself, a towering figure in dark armor, his massive blade already dripping with the blood of my men.

Our eyes met, and I knew this was the true test of my strength.

We clashed with an earth-shattering force. Kan Mei's blows were like thunder, shaking my arms with each block. He was stronger than I had imagined, but I had spent years honing my abilities. Using my AI system, I analyzed his movements, finding gaps in his defense. With a swift maneuver, I slipped past his guard and delivered a deep slash to his side.

Kan Mei roared in fury, swinging wildly. I evaded his strikes, countering with precise attacks that slowly wore him down. As our duel raged on, I could hear the battle turning in our favor—Shin had broken through the Zhao right flank, and Mou Ten had regrouped, launching another devastating charge.

With one final strike, I severed Kan Mei's head from his shoulders. The Zhao army, witnessing their leader's fall, began to break. My troops pressed the attack, routing the enemy completely.

The battle was won, but I knew this was only the beginning. Zhao would not take this defeat lightly. The war was far from over, and greater enemies awaited us beyond the horizon.

Back in Kanyou, the political battle between Ei Sei and Ryo Fui continued to escalate. Ryo Fui, angered by my rising influence, began spreading rumors to discredit me, painting me as a dangerous warlord who might one day threaten the throne. His faction moved swiftly, attempting to pass policies that would limit my command and resources.

Meanwhile, Zhao, humiliated by their defeat, called upon a new force—General Ji Yuan, a brilliant tactician with an unorthodox style of warfare. Reports arrived that Zhao was amassing an army of 150,000 soldiers, preparing for a large-scale counterattack.

Knowing we had little time, I moved quickly. I called upon my allies, using my political connections to secure additional troops and resources. With Shin, Mou Ten, and Ou Hon by my side, we prepared for the greatest battle yet.

As our armies marched once more, I knew one thing for certain—this war would define the future of Qin, and I was determined to emerge victorious, no matter the cost.
