Jiangxin Complex

Jiangxin Complex was a gentrified area in the old town. Many courtyards were built in the olden style along the river. Many people renovated these courtyards into their homes, and many tourists, both domestic and foreign, would visit to look at these structures.

No one would have thought that the world-renowned movie star, Jiang Anzhi, stayed here.

Zhu Mingming had just sent Feng Lanchu and Jiang Che to Jiangxin Complex when an emergency call called her away.

Jiang Che slept all the way from the airport to Jiangxin Complex. He had slept for more than four hours before he finally awakened. When he saw his paternal grandmother the moment, he woke up, his black eyes curved into a smile. When he smiled, two adorable dimples appeared at the corners of his mouth.

"My darling sweetheart. Grandma missed you so much."

Mrs. Jiang hugged Jiang Che tightly. "Was Chuanshu fun?"

"It was." Jiang Che nodded obediently. Then, he thought of something and immediately turned around to look for his mother.

"Mom, where's my bag?"

"It's here." Feng Lanchu handed the little lord his things.

Jiang Che took the bag and hugged it tightly to his chest. A satisfied smile appeared in his eyes.

"What's in there that you treasure it so much?" Mrs. Jiang asked curiously.

"It's a present for his dad." Feng Lanchu answered for Jiang Che.

"Oh, Grandma wants a present too. Angling, did you prepare anything for Grandma?"

Jiang Che smiled and nodded when he heard that.

When Jiang Che carefully pulled out a small bamboo leaf from his bag and handed it over, Mrs. Jiang held it as if she were holding a gold leaf.

"My darling Angling is so sensible. I love your present very much."

Jiang Che's lips curled up slightly when he heard that. His dimples and bright eyes emphasize the good mood he was in right now.

Mr. Jiang returned from work for dinner. He also received a bamboo leaf from Chuanshu. The two grandparents were delighted and wanted to frame up their first present from their grandson and treasure it forever.

Just as the family was having dinner harmoniously, the sound of the door opening could be heard.

Everyone turned around in unison to look at the door.

A tall and slender figure entered the room. He wore a simple white T-shirt and jeans, looking very fashionable. His cold expression looked gentle under the light.

"Dad!" Jiang Che reacted the fastest. He stood up from his high chair and tried to climb down.

Jiang Anzhi smiled slightly and hurried over to Jiang Che. He lifted Jiang Che into the air, making Jiang Che laugh happily.

Then, Anzhi set Jiang Che back into his seat unhurriedly and said,

"That was dangerous, mind that you don't fall."

"I am not afraid." Jiang Che smiled confidently, showing off his adorable dimples.

Jiang Anzhi squished Jiang Che's face dotingly.

Watching the sickening display of affection between the father and son, Feng Lanchu felt extremely jealous. Hrmph, men.

"Oh, why didn't you tell us beforehand that you were coming back?" Mrs. Jiang finally shook herself out of her surprise. "I'll get Auntie Zhang to make two more dishes."

"No need for the trouble. I have already eaten." Jiang Anzhi turned to say. His eyes were still filled with joy, but the enthusiasm in them was much more muted than when he had been greeting Jiang Che.

"You still can eat some more." Mrs. Jiang said and turned to walk into the kitchen.

Jiang Che had been sitting between Mrs. Jiang and Feng Lanchu, but Feng Lanchu was very self-aware and moved her butt to let Jiang Anzhi have her seat.

Jiang Anzhi did not refuse the seat either. He just smiled lightly and sat down. Mrs. Jiang quickly brought him a bowl and a pair of chopsticks.

The atmosphere at the table was not as lively as before due to Jiang Anzhi's appearance. Mr. and Mrs. Jiang's eyes began to dart between the two.

Feng Lanchu sighed to herself. To stop Mr. and Mrs. Jiang from worrying, she could only begin to act. She picked up some fish with her chopsticks and gave that to Jiang Anzhi.

"The fish tonight is pretty good. Recharge your protein levels."

Compared to Feng Lanchu, Jiang Anzhi was much more natural. He took the fish with a small smile and thanked her before he started eating.

"Mom, I want some too." The little kid who was in his highchair was a major fan of Jiang Anzhi. He wanted to do whatever Jiang Anzhi did.
