"Can we even fight that monster?!" Christina asked as the wind died down, the rain kept up though.
"We need a god or goddess. Even then, the odds are seventy-six percent in our favor." Penny said analyzing the situation.
"Any ideas?" Sara asked.
I thought for a second and had a brilliant one. "Knock me out," I said calmly.
"What!" Christina yelled.
"She said knock her out, and I know why." Penny said balling her fist, she threw one punch and I was out cold.
I came to in my prophecy room. The braziers were set back up, and the room was freshly clean. One day I would pay Penny back but for that, but I was honestly a little scared of her. She could definitely get dark and her strength was fucking scary.
"Draco?" I asked looking around.
"Darling? You're back?" Draco asked poking her, or rather my, head around the corner.
"Yes, and don't call me darling." I said walking towards her.
"You used to like being called that," Draco said straightening her hair.
"Yeah, I know. Now, how do I contact a god?" I asked looking around.
"Back room, you need to use your meditative powers. Now I need to go back to gardening." Draco answered going into my personal garden.
I sighed and went to my prophecy cave, similar to the times before I walked across the bridge to my island. I sat on my pillow and disconnected my energies. I focused on calling a god, any god who could help. Then I thought of one, or rather two. I contacted them and suddenly appeared on Olympus in an instant.
"Someone calls us sister." Apollo laughed.
"Oh calm down brother. Let's hear her out." Artemis said annoyed.
I looked at their large thrones and realized they were exactly the same. They both had large bows next to them, and hunting trophies on their thrones. The only difference was while Apollo's throne was decorated with gold, Artemis' was decorated with silver.
"Lady Artemis, Daughter of Zeus. Lord Apollo, Son of Zeus." I said bowing to each of them. "I request your help in San Francisco, there's a monster tearing up the mortal plain."
"We know." Apollo and Artemis said in unison before they stared at each other.
"Then can we be quick about this?" I asked desperately.
"I don't know, can you be less quick about insulting me Mary." Apollo said in a dead serious tone.
"Brother, not now." Artemis smiled.
Their dynamic was weird. When one was serious, the other wasn't. Of course, it really sucked when Apollo was serious and Artemis was joking.
"My apologies Lord Apollo, I didn't mean to insult you or your duties." I said bowing once more.
Apollo nodded, and stood up with Artemis. They both walked off, bows in hand. I came back to in San Francisco. The storm was continuing and demigods were desperately fighting the Leviathan. My head was killing me, and it hurt like hell the whole way sitting up.
"What happened Mary?! Are any gods coming?!" Mino yelled.
"Two, Artemis and Apollo are coming for the ultimate trophy." I answered.
"Let's get in cover." Christina said.
As if on cue, two chariots broke the clouds. Both of them were pulled by silver and gold horses, and their riders shot streaks of gold and silver across the sky. The Leviathan shot fire and water from its mouths at the chariots covering the skies with smoke and steam. The storm started to come to an end, and Penny helped me to my feet. We got to a destroyed building and camped there. Sunlight started to cut through windows and I gladly stayed far away.
After awhile I couldn't tell if I was going crazy or if I was hearing laughter from the Leviathan's direction. Apollo and Artemis must've been having fun hunting their new trophy, despite how dangerous it was. With every arrow they fired another flash of silver or gold covered the skies. I sat back as the flashes drove the clouds away bringing forth more sunlight.
"Apollo and Artemis are really going for the kill. They already took two of its heads." Olivia noted standing next to the window.
"The last head is the most dangerous." Penny said reading through a book on mythical monsters.
"Why's that?" Christina asked.
"Leviathan's are broken into five categories according to Poseidon. You have The Destroyers, The Towers, The Life-blood, The Offerings, and The Reaper. Destroyers come when summoned and have two heads that spit acid, The Towers are the largest but they don't leave the water, The Life-blood is a five headed one that devours ships and people, The Offerings are smaller and are used by the Atlantis Army, and The Reaper is a three headed one that gains power with every head that's cut off. In other words the second most dangerous Leviathan is in San Francisco Bay," Penny explained calmly.
I leaned against the wall, taking long blinks, and heard laughter. "You fall asleep to easy, let's take a trip." Khaos' voice said.
I looked over at her direction and saw a battlefield before me. Trenches were dug out and old tanks were left abandoned. Few bodies were out of trenches, but the ones that were out of the trenches were unrecognizable.
"Why are we here?" I asked.
"They called The Great Mortal War, or World War One, The First Khaos Crisis. They documented their secret war against me while the minor gods lit the world on fucking fire. Of course, this is your first time hearing about this. Olympus knew I was a problem, but they refused to acknowledge me. That's why I used Morpheus and so many others." Khaos said looking over the battlefield.
"The Olympians knew about you for that long, and they didn't say." I said.
Khaos nodded. "the Olympians fear power and uprising. When Kori Vlahos showed promise as a half-god, Poseidon had another half-god slit her mother's throat to scare her. Kori witnessed it and killed the half-god, but instead of being exempt from charges she was threatened with Tartarus." She said looking at me.
I knew what she was trying to do. Khaos was trying to get me to hate Olympus for everything that happened, but I smiled.
"Zeus and Poseidon are like that. But Apollo isn't, Ares isn't, Artemis isn't, Dionysus isn't, Aphrodite isn't, the whole council isn't!" I yelled.
"According to The Olympians it only takes one bad person to condemn the whole race. Why do you think Kalypso was so willing to help me find a Leviathan. I knew you would get gods to save the day, but I also knew you would be to tired to stay awake." Khaos smiled holding up a small horn and Phoenix Feathers. "Especially if certain circumstances led up to it, you're stuck here till the evening when the moonlight cures you."
It all hit me suddenly, I should've been stuck there. However, certain circumstances wouldn't allow that. I love my father, he's a kind god and an great ruler. However, pissing him off was a very bad thing to do. One thing Oracles never share is that when you call gods for help, your patron god will hear about it. When Hades heard I called upon Apollo and Artemis, he suspected a disaster was happening if I called two gods I admired for their combat skills. Perhaps he could be a god of wisdom after all, especially since he knew when to come get me.
"You will not take another child from me Khaos!" Hades yelled as he rose up in front of us, his eyes were glowing red and his weapon was covered in black flames showing that he was truly pissed off.
