My eyelids felt heavy as it fluttered open. My vision was blurred as I seized up my surroundings. All I could see was white walls. A sharp pain tingled through my head.
I closed my eyes for some seconds and try opening them again. I could see a little clear now. But the nipping ache buzzing through my head wasn't helping. My eyes fell on a person. I couldn't tell who it was.
"April you are awake!" I recognize the voice
I try speaking but my voice failed me. My throat feels dry and heavy like it choked with a huge lump.
"A-Audrey?" I managed to say with a scratchy voice.
"I will get the doctor!"
My eyelids shut again. I try to raise my head but a sharp pain welcomes me, swirling around my neck. My neck feels stiff. I couldn't move my torso up too. I couldn't also move my left arm, it was rigid. My legs too. My body feels motionless.
What's happening to me?
Where am I?
"Hello April," A calm voice says.
"Welcome back"
