Lee Miyeon (Irene) was adopted as a child when her parents who were Korean immigrants died in an unfortunate accident. Her foster parents initially treated her kindly but  changed after they were able to conceive a child of their own. The next day, Miyeon got dressed in sweats and promptly made her way to the suite she booked at The Grand, a high class hotel in District 1. After confirming the layout of the suite, she decided to have Rich stay behind the bedroom door and to leave a few centimeters gap between the door frame so he can intervene if things get out of hand. At around 10am, she texted Su Tian to change the location of the meetup from her apartment to The Grand. Miyeon didn't anticipate much push back from Su Tian since she seemed to particularly like hanging out at luxury hotels. And Miyeon specifically chose a location close to the latter's place.
