"You know what I do not understand is immediately after Caz's return to the tribe, the missile hits our tribe," Noth said and I turned to him, "What are you saying?" I asked him, "I am saying I do not trust Caz, he left all those years and now he is back, for what if you ask me? I think he is a spy for maybe another tribe or worse the etocrites,' Noth said seriously,

"I know it has crossed your mind too but you do not want to over think it because he is Nen's brother, I mean don't you find it weird that he is back?" he added crossing his arms

Farath (narration)

We lost over a hundred people from the missile attack, it was so frustrating to see people lose their loved ones and it hurt more because I was the second in command of security duty it felt like I had just sat back while people were being killed, after getting the call from leader Karth I rounded up everyone of the soldiers to go out and be alert of any other attack we could have, it had been so long since we had such attacks, life was a paradise until we went for a meeting in the east and were told that the Karan found an etocrite body on their border

If we won over those beasts before then we were going to do it again that did not scare me but right now I wanted to know if my Santi was okay, I had seen her earlier asking for Anensia, I hoped she was okay, if anything happened to her I could die because I do not think I could take it, I was looking at her for a long time and finally I managed to become her friend, I had to take it slow with her, yes I knew I wanted her but I could not just tell her immediately

"Hey where is Santi?" I asked Anensia, "Oh she is in my room I asked her to stay there," she replied and I nodded as a sign of thanks

I moved up stairs and knocked on Anensia's room, "Nen you are back," she said getting off the bed until she noticed it was me,

"Farath?" she said slowly,

"I came to check on you, are you okay?" I asked still standing,

"Yeah I am okay I was not hit by the missile," she said giving an obviously look, "I know I was just worried I am glad you came to the tower to see your friend, you could have been one of those people," I said touching her face

"Hey I am okay but who would attack us? We have been in peace for a long time and this happens," she asked touching my fingers,

"We are still working on that, we are yet to find out who sent that missile," I said and turned, I then looked back at her and God she was so beautiful I had to tell her

"Santi I want to confess something," I said as I pulled her close to me and she nodded urging me to talk,

"Santi I like you, really like you, I mean when something like this happened I had to tell you," I said touching her cheek and she blushed which made me smile

"You are not going to say anything?" I asked her and she did the unexpected, she kissed me, I felt my whole body coming alive and I held onto her tight, I did not want the moment to end I wanted her right there with me forever, and we finally pulled apart out of breath, "I like you too Farath," she said smiling and looking into my eyes

"I want to be with you forever Santi, I have wanted you for a long time and I am not going to lose you," I said and rested my forehead on hers, she was a little short so I had to bend

"Really? Why didn't you tell me before?" she asked, "I guess I was waiting for the right time and this is just perfect," I said kissing her again, "I have to go back downstairs and check on Tora to see if she has seen anything," I said against her face and she nodded, "I will see you later okay," I said and kissed her one more time, I could spend the whole day with her but I have tasks, "Its okay I know you are busy you can go," she said kissing my cheek and I left out the door.

Nen (narration)

"Garon can you help me carry her and put her in the truck," I said to Garon, we had spent over four hours searching for people in the market, we found some badly injured people but they were still alive so we began on the bodies, we had to check each and everyone to see who was still alive to get them medical help, we had found over twenty badly injured people, there were screams everywhere from people who lost their loved ones

It was really a bad sight, body parts and dead bodies everywhere, blood all over the place

"Nen there is one crying over there," Sel said pointing to my direction, I managed to get off the bricks and helped her out, she was covered in so much blood, one could not tell who she was,

"Sel help me," he came forward and helped me, we had to carry her carefully because everywhere we touched she would let out a cry, "Garon here," I shouted at him as he was helping a limping man to the truck

"We thought we were safe, where is the leader?" a man was shouting at us the security and others joined him cheering on and then people started flooding in shouting how we were not able to protect them, how security duty was a nuisance,

"You cannot protect us!!" another man shouted

"If you were doing your job, the citizens wouldn't be dead, we have lost people because of your incompetence!!" another shouted and Garon pulled me back, the masses were getting angry and I could not blame them, they had lost their people but to say that we could not protect them hurt, people will always be ungrateful

I was then shoved on the ground hard I hit my shoulder until I heard a booming sound, "Touch my sister again and it will be your neck!!" Caz said standing in front of me and the people moved back a little

"And how dare you say we cannot protect you, we have served this tribe for a long time, protected you, you think all those times you have been rejoicing came easy we had to protect the tribe, to make each and everyone of you happy," he said pointing to the people at the front, "But a little mishap and you are quick to judge, how dare you!!!" Caz said shouting while Garon and Sel helped me up

Everyone was quiet looking at Caz as he confronted the people until Farath came and stopped him,

"Caz!" Farath shouted and Caz turned and looked at him and gave a little bow and he moved back to me, "Are you okay?" he asked me and I just shook my head

"Everyone please, we are sorry for your loss but blaming people is not going to make anything better, Leader Karth is going to come and address you anytime when he arrives from the East, so do not panic the security duty is here to protect you," Farath addressed the people and they nodded and started leaving

"Are you alright?" Farath said touching my shoulder slowly and I nodded

"Garon take her to the tower she needs to be checked," Farath said and moved to the scene

When we reached the tower, Santi was there at the entrance waiting as she kept looking around until her eyes landed on me and she came running to me

"Oh my God Nen are you okay?" she said coming closer

"Yes I am okay just a little pain in my shoulder," I said to her as she followed Garon who was taking me to the doctor

When we reached the doctor's room and Garon set me down and moved out, Santi sat next to me and touched me slightly

"Okay Nen just take this, by tomorrow your shoulder should be okay," he said and I thanked him and Garon came back with a small cup of water and left

"I have to tell you something," Santi said blushing, "Let's get to the room first," I said looking at her and she was still blushing

When we reached the room and Santi helped me in the room, as we sat on the bed, I turned to her, "So what did you want to tell me?" I asked, "He kissed me," she said smiling at me, "Wow when?" I asked shocked, "Well he came up here to check on me and he told me he likes me and wants to be with me," she said smiling

"So you really like him or are just using him as a distraction from Noth?" I asked concerned, I did not want Farath to be hurt he was my friend although we did not talk a lot he was still my friend

"To be honest Nen I like him I swear, he is hot and caring I can't help but like him," she said smiling a bit

"So the feelings for Noth just flew out the window huh," I asked standing removing my outfit

"To be honest Nen when he kissed me I do not know what happened I just felt like I needed to kiss him I felt so alive Nen, yes he has been so caring but when he kissed me back is when I realized that I actually have feelings for him," she said talking fast, "And also I have waited a long time for Noth, it seems he will never say it," she added shrugging her shoulders

"So you are going to be with Farath?" I asked throwing on a vest and a pair of shorts

"I am going to see where it goes Nen," she said simply

"Well if you are happy I am happy okay, if Farath hurts you I will kill him," I said and we both laughed

"My queen , the package was delivered," I said and bowed down to her in respect

"Oh my dear they have no idea what is coming for them," the queen said and threw her head back and laughed evilly

"I would like to see Karth's face after we are finished with his tribe," she added with an evil look

I honestly do not understand why the queen is obsessed with Karth, there must be something we do not know, she never attacks any other tribe but just the Hnerez which is a bit strange if you ask me

She would send us to watch him from a far asking us everything he was doing, and commanding us to tell her each and everything, what he ate, how he spent his day, what he worked on, where he went and if you ask me the etocrites want to be at peace with the other tribes but the queen still insists with war against the other tribes, and on top of that she killed one of ours and put him as a sign for the Karan tribe to see him

This war is about the queen showing Karth that she is powerful it is not about us or the Hnerez people, it is about her proving that she can win over him and maybe I am over thinking but I could say that she is in love with him

"And that little lady of his will face it the worst," she said and left the room
