"Tsk!" Gokudera clicked his tongue with his eyebrows crossing, literally scaring everyone as he walked by the school's hallway.
Yamamoto, who is trying to chase his pace, laughed at him, "Gokudera, you need to calm down and meet the morning with a smile."
"How can I smile when I first came to the classroom to see Boss and that wimpy red-haired kid together!?" he stopped, pointing a finger at Yamamoto, "I could still feel that he is a threat."
"Calm down. I don't think Enma wants to harm Tsuna. They look happy together," Yamamoto commented.
"So you think we can't make him happy?" he questioned him, understanding the context wrongly.
Yamamoto sighed deeply, but he still smiled brightly, "That's what you think, Gokudera. It is too selfish to think that way. After all, we are not only Tsuna's friend, and I think Enma won't hurt him."
Gokudera felt more pissed, "I shouldn't have talked to you about this. All you know is baseball!"
Yamamoto was hurt when he heard that and decided to leave Gokudera alone until he calms down.

"Yamamoto, are you fine?" Mizuno asked Yamamoto, and he sat beside him at the bench, "You've been staring blankly ever since the practice started. Coach is worried."
"I'm fine. Just some problem with friends," Yamamoto responded.
"Want to share that friend problem?" he asked as he offered him too with a bottle of water.
Yamamoto accepted both offers.
"So that's what happened," Mizuno said after Yamamoto shared the story.
"I understand that he's a bit overprotective of Tsuna, but if he went overboard it won't end up to something good. Why can't he understand that!?" Yamamoto said, releasing his frustration.
"Gokudera is really a stubborn guy," Mizuno commented, "I'm not trying to be biased, but trust me, if you live with Enma, you'll always hear him talk about Tsuna."
Yamamoto smiled, "But even though that guy is a stubborn rock, I won't stop telling him what I think is right, and I'm willing to pull him back up on his downfall."
"Yamamoto, do you know that instead of the rain, you're more like an umbrella. No one might have noticed it, but you are always there to protect your friends from the rain," he stated.
"Thanks, Mizuno," he said, standing up to stretch so he can focus back on his practice.

As Tsuyoshi's tear fell, the rain started falling, and he slowly watched his wife walk away under the umbrella of another man.
Yamamoto as a child watches from afar as his family gets separated, but he decided not to cry because it will only hurt his father more. He immediately looked for an umbrella, and when he found one, he took it and ran towards his father's side.
He brightly smiled, "I won't leave you!"
Seeing his son, Tsuyoshi also smiled back and hugged him tightly because of that Yamamoto's tears also fell.
Ever since that day, Yamamoto was always the happy pill of the people around him. Like an umbrella, he will protect them from the rain.

"Yamamoto, can I talk to you privately?" Tsuna asked Yamamoto after their math class ended.
Before Yamamoto could respond, he spotted Gokudera curiously looking at them, "Need help for a math assignment? I think it's best if we are with Goku-"
Tsuna cut him off, "I want to talk this to you only."
"Okay," Yamamoto agreed, and they both walked out of the room.
'Don't...' Gokudera told himself, trying to resist following them, 'Let's respect Boss's privacy...'
A minute passed…
'What if there's a sudden attack!?' he stood up from his seat and dashed to follow the two.

Yamamoto and Tsuna both went to the back of the school to talk privately, and no one can also bother them too.
"Yamamoto, please keep what I'm going to tell you a secret. I trust you not to share this with Gokudera," Tsuna started, and Yamamoto felt nervous hearing it.
"But... I feel uncomfortable to leave Gokudera about this," he admitted.
Tsuna batted his eyes away, "I don't want to hurt him or hate me because of that."
Yamamoto held both of his shoulders and he looked at him in the eye, "He will be hurt more if you keep it a secret."
Tsuna took a moment to think about it.
"I guess you're right, but it will still take time for me to say it to him," Tsuna considered.
"So what's the secret?" Yamamoto asked.
"Oh yeah... I haven't told it yet," Tsuna felt nervous yet excited to drop it.
"So Enma and I decided to go out," Tsuna revealed.
"Wow! That's great. Congratulations to you both!" Yamamoto cheered.
"Thanks!" Tsuna said, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment, "But hey, stop congratulating us like we're married."
Yamamoto laughed, but he soon went to his serious self.
"So that's what you wanted to keep from Gokudera," Yamamoto asked. He was happy for both of them, but he also feels sad imagining the hurt face of Gokudera.
Tsuna silently nodded. He also knew deeply that he can't return back those feelings.
"Heh! Must be nice to keep things behind me?" Gokudera who followed them secretly appeared in their sight.
"You misunderstood it, Gokudera," Yamamoto defended.
"No! Keep it to yourselves. Go on! Hide it from me... I'm not mad," he sarcastically said.
"Choose the person that can make you smile, Tsuna! And forget about us," Gokudera added.
Tsuna looks down, feeling guilty.
"Gokudera, stop making this about you!" Yamamoto insisted.
"I thought you were always by my side, Yamamoto, but it seems not," he disclosed.
"I'm always at the side which is good for you," Yamamoto said.
"Gokudera, I'm sorry. I was about to tell you about it," Tsuna deeply bowed in front of him, "I have no intention of hurting you by this, and I have no plans of abandoning my friends just because I'm in a relationship."
He clenched his fist, "Tsk! It's not about that! How did you easily fell for him!?"
'I came first!' Gokudera thought, and he left them.
"Gokudera!" Tsuna called him, but he brushed his hand that was trying to reach him
"I'll handle this," Yamamoto ensured Tsuna, and he chased Gokudera.
Tsuna was left alone. He looked above the sky that is slowly darkening.

Even they already left the school grounds, Yamamoto was still persistent in chasing Gokudera.
"Quit following!" Gokudera shouted, increasing the speed of his stride, but Yamamoto was still able to catch up to him.
Yamamoto didn't give up, and they kept on chasing each other in the neighborhood, and people started to look at them weirdly.
Soon they stopped by in front of a convenience store, wanting to take a break. Feeling tired, Yamamoto entered the store to buy some refreshments. Having the chance to escape, Gokudera did not try anymore because his legs were too tired. Then suddenly small droplets of rain started to fall, but instead of going inside the store too, he sat on the ground. He picked out a cigarette stick and tried to light them on, but it did not because the rain started pouring harder.
Seeing the situation outside, Yamamoto wanted to hurry up on Gokudera's side, but the cashier was too slow.
"Keep the change!" he said putting down his payment and immediately dragging the items he bought.
He put out his umbrella and went to Gokudera's side.
Gokudera looked at him with regret, "I really like the boss you know, and you're right, I'm being too selfish. Seeing him happy should also be my happiness."
"Is it not too late to say sorry?" he asked.
Yamamoto nodded, and he gave him a small box of milk he bought from the convenience store.
"Thanks," he gladly received it.
"And there may be someone who is meant for you that can return the love you give," he stated.
"Your right. Everyone has their own fated one, even you," Gokudera agreed and sipped some milk.
"Yeah..." Yamamoto whispered.
We're just the same Gokudera. Like how Tsuna looks at you as a friend, it is the same as how you look at me as a friend. If I could only change the tied red knot, but I can't. I'm satisfied being people's umbrella in the rain.
