"Don't worry, is in my way anyways"

From one moment to other, Equiline felt out of place, as if everything was on another plane and she was just a spectator. For a few seconds she imagine them married and with children, something that looked so good, but felt so bad.

"Excuse me, could you take my bags inside?" Amiira took her out of her trance and what luck because she was sure that she would start crying again.

"Sorry, what did you say?" Amiira changed her face to one more serious, as if she wanted to demonstrate her authority.

"I said, if you can take my bags inside," she smiled turning to see Jacay, "any room will be fine" Equiline looked at her and then looked at Jacay, it was clear that he wasn't going to get her out of her mistake.

In defense of him, everything was happening too fast. He was stunned and blank, he wanted to speak but the words just didn't come out, but by the time he could react Equiline was no longer there and Amiira was with a disgusted face towards the direction where Equiline had gone.

"What a servitude you have."

"She is not an employee," Amiira looked at him surprise and for a moment she regretted having spoken to her like that, "you shouldn't have spoken to her like that."

"I'm sorry I spoke to her like that, but from her appearance no one would guess that she wasn't" she smiled flirtatious

"What's wrong with her appearance?" Jacay turned to look at her seriously, "Is that how you go through life discriminated against people because of her appearance, Miss Decorum?"

Amiira was without a word, of course she didn't discriminate against people like that, sometimes she could be a bit cruel but only with people who deserve it. Aside she didn't know it, the other girl being there, next to him at the entrance of his house, what was she supposed to think? Was she a guest? She didn't believe it. So who was she? And why had he reacted in that way? All those questions ran over her head as they led her to her bedroom where she would stay for a month.

...

Equiline couldn't stop crying, she hated the feelings that were developing in her chest; jealousy, envy, hatred, pain, sadness. She didn't feel like herself having those kinds of emotions. The way to her house was long, her father wouldn't be in the house and that made her feel worse.

She felt lonely, she wanted someone to come, hug her and tell her that it was all false, that it was a simple bad joke. That nothing had changed in her strange but beautiful relationship.

It seemed to that even the sky was combined with her emotions, because somes thunders were heard it and the clouds threatened to drop all the water they had accumulated at any moment. Equiline never stopped, because te fear getting wet or maybe the fear of turning around and seeing Jacay with her… she didn't even dare to think her name. She wasn't no blame, Equiline couldn't curse her, surely she didn't even know about her existence, she was everything Jacay deserved, a beautiful girl with money and status.

Equiline knew that was why they hid their relationship and although Jacay assured that when she reached the majority age, they would go away from everyone. But a part of her knew the reality, she knew that it had to come at some point, the end of their love story, even though just thinking about it, burned her inside.

"Equiline, is it you?" She hear a voice in the distance, which she look for, "what are you doing here in the middle of what will be a storm?" Equiline could not find the owner of that voice.

Suddenly a familiar face appeared in the darkness, he was riding on a beautiful black horse, it seemed to his green eyes had their own light because it was what stood out the most from the darkness, although there was a feeling in them that Equiline didn't understand the why of this.

"I could take you home, if you like" he smiled as he got down of the horse.

"Oh no, please don't bother," she spoke, wiping her tears and clearing her throat a bit.

"Are you okay?" And there was that feeling in his eyes again that Equiline didn't understand, "If I may say so, you doesn't look very good. Please allow me to carry you."

"But you, me... Wouldn't that be too inconvenient?" Equiline really wasn't very comfortable with this, but it was either that or the possibility of getting sick. Because she was sure that she wouldn't get to her house before the storm started, at least not walking.

"Don't worry, is in my way anyways" and without further ado they both got on the horse, leaving behind the storm and the Verum mansion.
