Maria looked at the files in her hands, noticing an address on them. It wasn't hers, so how did Barnaby know it belonged to her. She figured she would talk to Yuri about it later on; however, she needed to work on figuring out where she was supposed to go. She thought for a while before she punched her table, scaring her kitten. "Sorry, Cheshire. Mummy needs to go. I shall be back," she gave the kitten a smile, her anti-hero uniform on.
She jumped through a window and walked down the dark street. She kept the address in her hand since she wasn't too sure if she would remember it. "This is close to the docks… which means I was close!" she whisper yelled to herself.
The now brunette quickly ran to the docks, her ruby and onyx eyes taking in her surroundings. She didn't want someone to follow her. Not again. On her path to the address, she had gone to the alley she ran away from Barnaby in. She looked around for her cape but gave up soon after. "He must've taken it… wouldn't blame him for using it as some type of evidence…" she sighed as she looked back at the address then around the alley.
She made herself calm down as she walked out of the small alley and continued her search for the exact address. She didn't really seem to mind if her cape was on her or not, she just wanted to find this address. She looked at the papers again, hearing footsteps on the roof. She shook her head and decided to ignore them. She had an idea who it could be. She hid the paper so she wouldn't be seen as she found an abandoned warehouse. "Is this it?" she asked no one.
She knocked on the door four times to which a guy opened the door and looked at her. "State your name."
She stared at the guy and smirked. "Twisted Fate. You know, the one people keep running from on the streets?"
The guy blinked and looked at her. He was surprised that she was the Twisted character people have been scared of lately. He stepped to the side. "Please enter, Twisted. We have hoped that you were going to show up."
She stepped into the building, the door closing behind her. She looked around, the other villains in there including Lunatic. She raised an eyebrow and walked towards him, curious how he knew of this place before her. She had almost made it to him until someone yelled out "we have a spy in here!" and caused her to almost be nervous.
"Did you catch them?" another person called out.
Before the first man was a male who honestly did a terrible job looking like a villain. "Yeah, though we heard Twisted was here. To make sure she is who she is, she must kill this spy!"
Maria blinked and cocked her head, walking towards the male. She had grabbed his arm and lifted him up, looking at his eyes. She was going to have to execute this male for doing his job… and that's what would happen to her if her cover was blown. This was her job when undercover. She gently put her hand up against the male's temple. "This won't take long, hon."
She watched as he shook in fear, staring at her wide-eyed. She knew that if the others learned she did this, she would end up in a boat similar to this. She moved kinetic energy into her hand. "You shouldn't have come in here...," soon the male's eyes and nose bled.
She sent one pulse of explosive energy into the male's temple and caused his head to implode and his body to fall over limp. Everyone around the warehouse cheered and celebrated the death of a spy. She looked around to see if Lunatic was still there. He wasn't.
Maria sighed as she turned to leave, the others too busy celebrating the death of the spy to notice she really did leave. She was shaking slightly as she put her hand to her head. "I am so fucking dead…"
Barnaby was on the rooftop, watching the warehouse, and listened to her. "I am so fucking dead…" rang through his ears. His green eyes sharpened as he jumped down and walked towards the female.
Maria looked up and saw Barnaby, gritting her teeth before she ran away. She didn't want to be captured by him, especially at her still trying to get over her killing someone. He followed in pursuit, determined to capture her. "Leave me alone! I didn't do anything!" she yelled out at the blonde rabbit.
He didn't listen. He had a nagging voice in his head that was telling him to capture her. He would get answers from her if he did. He jumped up and moved to land on or in front of the running female. He didn't expect her to quickly change directions last minute and dart into the alleys. She planned to lose him in there and lose him she somehow did.
Barnaby glared at the alleys and quickly ran off, thinking of another course of action. Maria was shaking as she dropped to her knees. "Shit… He almost got me… and I just killed my first person…."
