Chapter 2 : Heaven's gate

LOCATION : HEAVEN'S GATE

TIME : IRRELEVANT

DATE : IRRELEVANT .

The void that existed between the land of the living and Heaven was being lit up by a battle between angels and demons.

This most ancient battle between two sworn enemies, one representing good and there other representing evil was being waged again due to the ambitions of the demon princes to not just conquer humanity and the universe but also Heaven as well.

Black holes, White holes and explosions the size of planets rocked the void as the clash between these two foes raged on with no end in sight.

Sometimes a bright light would go off in an instant signaling the fall of an angel while other times a dark shadow would burst into ashes signaling the fall of a demon.

Their battle cries could be heard for miles on end as they let out yells while engaged in mortal combat.

Unlike with demons confrontations with humans were only their physical bodies were destroyed the case was quite different with regards to this encounter between these two forces.

Angels and demons came from the same source as demons were once angels that rebelled against the Father and were punished by being sent to hell.

The atmosphere of hell twisted and turned these once glorious creatures into the monsters they were currently.

The weapons used by angels and demons, with the angels creating their weapons out of their will and demons transmuting their weapons from already existing matter were capable of not just physical destruction but also spiritual destruction which was basically existence erasure to each of the warring parties as both angels and demons were spiritual beings thus their weapons not only killed but completely destroyed one another.

The battle raged on for so long and since time was irrelevant in their choice of a battlefield, no-one knew how long the battle had raged on for.

Demons kept on pressing as they attempted to reach Heaven's gate which stood a couple of light-years away from where they were as a huge white gate the size of a large star emitting radiation capable of lighting up an entire galaxy with its radiance.

"We cannot let them leave here and reach the gates."

An archangel remarks as he clashed with a demon.

"Hold your ground, my fellow comrades… we must give everything we've got to protect the gates."

Another archangel yells out as he cut down a demon trying to attack him.

"Resistance is futile, just let us pass and we shall show you mercy."

An arch demon remarks as he cuts through a war angel.

"How many must fall before you realize that you cannot hold us here for long."

Yet another arch demon remarks as he pierces his flaming sword through the torso of a war angel.

The warring angels take no heed to the words of their demonic counterparts and keep on beating back the invaders that had dared to come to their doorstep

As the battle kept going back and forth with a victor nowhere in sight, soon enough a large portal with purple hue appears from behind the demon ranks giving off an aura that was nothing short of menacing and bone chilling.

 "What is that??"

A war angel asks as she shudders from the aura being emitted.

"Ready yourselves....."

An archangel yells out as she stares intently at the portal.

Before the archangel can say something more, a large spike made of dark matter shoots out from the portal and impales her in the chest before she can react.

Other angels around her are struck in awe by the speed at which the spike moved with the other angels looking to see who had thrown it.

The archangel that had been impaled struggles to stay conscious as she held the spike in place with one hand while keeping her eye on the portal.

 "Who threw this??"

She asks with crimson blood starting to leak from her lips.

"Oh wow. I can't believe you'd survive that.... Anyways it doesn't matter, you are still gonna die."

A male voice remarks in a chilling manner from the other side of the portal.

Not so long after the voice had finished speaking black lines begin to spread across the archangel after which black liquid pours out of her eyes, nose, ears and mouth.

The archangel soon stops struggling and let's go of the spike after which she falls down into the void with the other angels turning their attention completely to the portal after which a figure emerges from the portal drawing gasps from the angelic forces.

 "It's Beelzebub."

A war angel remarks as he quickly recognized the figure that had emerged from the portal.

"So these guys are really serious with storming heaven's gate with everything they've got."

An archangel mutters while gritting his teeth.

Beelzebub was a tall being with a slightly humane figure save for say his head which carried two distinct horns.

His hands which looked more like the hands of a monster with its scaly skin and long fingers with his legs sharing similar characteristics with his hands.

His wings spanned a whooping fifty six by thirty two inches with it looking like those of a bat.

 "I'm honored that you all still remember me despite my changed appearance."

Beelzebub remarks as a grin could be seen on his distorted face.

"Why wouldn't we remember, you defiant…."

The archangel is not allowed to finish his sentence when a dark blade slices through his neck beheading him instantly with other angels staring in horror.

"You will show me respect and not cut me off when I speak. I am not here to banter words with you weaklings.

I am here to bring down heaven's gate so I will ask that you do not stand in my way else you suffer the same fate as your comrades just now, so what do you say??"

Beelzebub remarks in a menacing tone as he scanned the remainder of the angelic forces still standing.
