Chapter 6 : Church of the Damned VII

"So you will do as I say, won't you??"

Baby asks as she caressed Klaus's cheek.

"Yes of course. Please order me as you like."

Klaus replies as he leaned in closer.

"Good then here is what you will do....

Gain Judas's trust, become his second in command and ensure that he begins to depend on you.

Never let him realize your intentions and then when the time is right, strike him down with every fiber of your being."

Baby whispers into his ear.

"I understand, I'll do as you have said."

Klaus replies with a nod.

Baby let's go of Klaus and sits upright at the center of the bed with Klaus standing to his feet and turning to face her.

She gestures with her finger for Klaus to join her and he obliges without hesitation, taking off his underwear and joining Baby in bed.

"Klaus, Klaus, Klaus!!!"

Judas calls out to the latter with a worried look on his face.

"Yes my liege."

Klaus replies with a surprised look on his face as Judas jolted him from his thoughts.

"You seemed lost in thought for a moment, I hope all is well."

Judas asks with a bit of concern.

"Yes my liege, all is well. I was just thinking about the Damnation ritual coming up."

Klaus lies with a straight face.

"Oh… .are there any problems with preparation??"

Judas asks indulging the young man.

"Well, yes and no. Honestly the only real issue is the fact that I do not understand why you would choose me of all people to take charge over such an important project."

Klaus replies feigning worry.

"Oh…. Do you feel that you are inadequate and that you are unable to take care of this ??"

Judas asks.

"Well, it's just that there are others that are more sufficient to take on the project. People with more experience."

Klaus replies putting his head down.

"Well that is a valid point but still it doesn't prove that you are not capable of taking on this task."

Judas replies with a casual tone.

"Well…"

Klaus trails off.

"Listen Klaus, the reason I chose you to take command of this project as well as to be my right hand man is simple.

You are a man with ambition and your intentions towards our people is a noble one. In a way I see myself in you which is why I chose you and not another."

Judas explains as he turns to face the window.

"But my liege, there must be others who share your dream as well.

Others with more experience and whom are already willing to carry out your orders without question, is that not so??"

Klaus remarks.

"Well yes there are others but how long before I find them. Why waste time searching around when I have you here already.

Do not think too much over this matter Klaus, you have a responsibility to our people, I hope you understand that."

Judas replies.

"Yes, my liege. I understand."

Klaus says with a bow.

"That's much better."

Judas says as he let out a sigh.

Klaus and Judas spent the next hour or so discussing matters ranging from the present situation of their church to future prospects.

They discussed in great depth and if anyone were to have seen them, it would have come off as a discussion between a father and a son, though that would be wrong.

Klaus takes his leave after he excused himself on the pretext that he was feeling quite sleepy, Judas obliged him and he left in haste towards his prayer altar.

He got in and closed the door behind with Baby and Khalid seated eagerly awaiting his arrival.

"How did it go?"

Khalid asks curiously.

"Nothing new, the old geezer apparently wanted a chat buddy."

Klaus says in disgust as he came to sit beside Baby.

"Oh my, that's really cute."

Baby remarks with a giggle.

"I just couldn't stand him, the sly bastard. I just wanted to get up from where I sat and strangle the life out of him."

Klaus remarks with a hateful expression on his face.

"Calm yourself, Klaus. You shall do so in due time do not worry yourself now."

Baby says.

"I can't wait. I just can't wait for when I will finally be able to seize power from that lying cheat and finally lead my people to the promised land."

Klaus remarks forming a fist.

"Soon love, very soon indeed. For now just calm yourself and do as you are told."

Baby replies.

"Yes Baby. I'll do whatever you say."

Klaus remarks, looking like a lost puppy.

"Of course you will."

Baby remarks with a giggle with Khalid staring at the unlikely couple.
