Rudra shook his head, walked inside his room, cleaned up the glass debris, took a shower changed his clothes. He walked out of his room, headed to Akshika's room, was about to knock at the door when from inside he heard, "Don't you irritate me Ru. Get in already."

Rudra walked inside with a smile and saw Akshika reading a book with purple cat eyeglasses resting on her nose. She was wearing her oversized white full-sleeved t-shirt. She looked very adorable for someone 28. She spoke in a soft voice, "Is the dinner ready?"

Rudra replied, "Not yet, tell me what do you want to eat?"

Akshika looked up in surprise. She asked, "We are having something other than that boring diet? I want a homemade pizza with a glass of wine."

Rudra shook his head, "You were a bandit in last life." he turned to leave but Akshika stopped him, "Take me with you please, I want to watch an iceberg cook a hot pizza."

The cold-faced man was helpless in front of this child. He walked to the side of her bed after removing the blanket, he placed his right arm under her thighs while the left arm supported her shoulders. The whole process was done smoothly with no awkwardness. The reason was that neither did Akshika nor Rudra liked watching her in the wheelchair.

Rudra suddenly said, "The Victorian Country has developed treatment for spinal injuries. I sent them your case history, Doctor Browns guaranteed to have you stand back up on your legs in 6 months. He said that you will be able to run and live normally. I wanted to ask you. Will you go?" his voice shook a bit. They have been living with each other ever since they lost their family 8 years ago and the bond they had could be backtracked to their childhood. So they were greatly dependent on each other for emotional and mental support.

Rudra sat Akshika on a high chair before he placed her feet carefully on the support rim below. The kitchen in the house was a modern kitchen with a dining table included in it. He put on an apron and set the oven to preheat.

Akshika sat at the dining table while Rudra started to prepare ingredients. The girl sighed at this vague mood, she turned her chair towards the living room by using her hands as a support against the table. Then took out her phone and played some old classic songs via airplay device.

Rudra smiled as soon as he heard this, these were his favorite songs. Akshika said, "Say, Ru, if I go to Victoria, how would you manage here alone?"

Rudra's hand stopped and he said, "Umm, somehow I guess. I only want you to get back up so that we could play football once again, go for cycling, hiking. Dance to these songs. I will wait for that as long as it takes." he was speaking with a smile on his face.

As a child, Akshika was the one who stuck to him and taught him all these things in their free time. The girl had slightly red eyes and she knew that if she cried, Rudra will too so reining in her tears, she sighed, "Such mellow drama. You know sometimes it is good that you speak less outside. Or the stock value of your company will plummet by a great degree."

Rudra refuted her in a cold voice, "OUR company." he kept dealing with the mini pizza base and stuff in front of him.

Akshika muttered, "Yeah, yeah, ours. By the way, how was the acquisition of that fashion tag?"

Rudra replied, "It was good, they agreed to the merger but proposed that we still employ their chief designer as it was only because of that person they were able to come this far and all. I did not see any harm so I agreed." his hands were constantly moving as he spoke with his head down.

Akshika spoke, "Who is this person actually? I did not find any information about him or her. What is the point of mystifying your identity. It's not like you are the empress of the world?" her tone was grumpy, she never liked secrets.

Rudra chuckled and said, "Good title though, empress of the world, as if anyone is worthy enough to rule the whole world." at this moment he put the pizza base in a preheated oven.

Akshika turned back to face the man who was working diligently. She put down her head on the table as she sang along with the song on the speaker. She sang the female lines while as soon as the male ones came, the iceberg in the kitchen sang in a gentle and warm voice.

Rudra was a coconut personality. Hard on the outside soft on the inside. Akshika smiled when she heard him sing. She was very happy with this. Rudra has never sung in front of anyone else except her.

They shared everything, the first motorbike ride when she bought her bike back in high school, first dance in junior high, the first time Rudra sang with her on the football ground, the first time Rudra bought a car she was there with him, their first trip to a foreign country when Rudra asked her to drop him to his graduation college, their first alcohol and night out in the unknown country.

...

She had every first time of Rudra. But one she thing regretted was that she was not his first love. The girl never proposed to him at all thinking that he belonged with her.

Suddenly one day Rudra told him that a girl proposed to him. He was so happy. Akshika cried for the first time in ages that night. Yet the next day her tears of grief became a rage as the girl who proposed Rudra said to him in front of the whole class, "It was a joke we played on you. Sorry if it hurt you. It was a dare I had to do."

Rudra stopped her and let it all go. The girl became good friends with him. They all became high school students. In their final year, Rudra decided to tell the girl everything. He wanted to confess to her.

Mustering up his courage he went up to the girl and was rejected. The girl told him that she had a boyfriend outside school. Rudra again blessed her and came back. Everything was normal, even Rudra's behavior with the girl did not change. After their final results when they all got admitted to various universities, Rudra was yet to choose his alma mater.

The girl called him out the night before. Everything was fine initially but then the girl told him how her boyfriend had been fighting with her because of Rudra being close to him. She put all the blame on Rudra. Not many people knew but as a girl, she was aware of the rumor among the girls, that girl only used Rudra for his excellent grades.

She acted like his close friend to learn from him. Akshika knew what Rudra was like in reality. So she kept it all a secret. That night she was having fun with some girls in her hostel when one of them told her, "Akshi, you should ask Rudra to stay away from that Chitra."

Akshika asked back, "Rhea, let it be. I don't have the guts and heart to hurt Rudra. He has suffered a lot. I cannot be the one to deal more pain to him."

Rhea was her girl best friend, she replied, "Akshi if you don't stop him now. That girl will hurt him even worse. You don't know but she left to find Rudra and confront him about something. She had a fight with her boyfriend and I am afraid she will take it out on Rudra. YOu should find him before it's too late."

Akhiska was surprised and then she asked Rhea to come along with her. But even so, they were late to arrive. From a distance they heard a loud voice tearing the silent shroud of the cloudy night, "You are the bane to my happiness. You messed up all of it. You don't deserve to be loved at all. Go away, I don't want to see you." she pushed Rudra and walked away.

Rudra fell to the ground and it started raining. Akshika saw him from a distance. The smile on his face slowly washed away with his tears. She knew that he was crying but she could not comfort him. It was something he had to stand up from by himself.

She returned to the girl's hostel, came to Chitra's door, and heard a faint voice coming from inside, "Chitra, did you really tell him to get off. He is not a bad guy you know. He never once did anything to you."

Chitra replied in annoyance, "Don't be my mom, Melissa. If it is affecting you so much then you can go to that loser. I bet he is still sitting there on the turf crying in the rain. That nerd, he doesn't deserve me, yet he dared to stick to me. Is it not because of him that Arya is being insecure?"

Unable to hold herself back, Akshika knocked on the door. The girl Melissa opened the door. Chitra snorted. Akshika walked in front of her and with a calm manner she spoke, "First, Rudra never had any malice towards you, as you used him for his marks. He understood this but still helped you. Second, it not he who does not deserves you, on the contrary, you are not even good enough to stand under his shadow..."

Chitra was never the one to take an insult lying down she stood up from her bed but Akshika smacked her face with all her strength and made her fall back on it. She continued speaking, "Third, you called him a nerd. Well, even if he is a nerd, that is better than being a cunning bitch such as you. Fourth, your boyfriend is insecure because of two things. One, he knows how big of a bitch you are. Two, he knows that he is worth shit in front of the scholar student of Elite academy. Rudra's future is something way big than you two parasites."

She turned and was about to walk out when she spat to the shocked girl lying awkwardly on her bed, "You can complain to the faculty if you want. I want to see what they can do to me."

Melissa walked up to her with a smile and gave her a thumbs up. She never likes how Chitra looked down on others because of her good looks. Yet Akshika was something else completely. After Akshika left Chitra clamored but did not dare to complain to the faculty. Akshika was the bad girl on the campus.

...

She was brought back from her trip down memory lane when Rudra placed a steaming pizza in front of her with a smile. In his eyes, endless love was evident yet she knew that he would never take the initiative. And she wanted to wait till she could stand up back on her legs.

Eating the pizza she said, "Ru, send me to Victoria. I want to stand. It has been a long since we went bowling and also, look I have gained weight. I need to work out." her voice was groggy as it was filled with food.

Rudra smiled as he closed his eyes. He said, "Okay, we will go after the hurricane passes. Now eat." The cold man sat beside the girl as they both shared the pizza.

In their minds they had a similar thought "I will share it all with you."
