Unexpected

That was a little unexpected.

*Boom!*

Well not that little, these guys had already developed what I want to call, the power of destruction, the artifact that can turn the war into something more inhumane, and the gunpowder I want to steal.

These little mercenaries were firing bombs at me. And as if on cue, the arrows also reached my side. I won't say I was invincible, but at least I can manage a great distraction for some Dark Duke to recover his strength and energies to fight back. Hopefully, before I those bombs catch me.

*Boom!*

"Auch, that hurts," the roof of the inn almost shattered behind me.

My feet already felt tired from escaping the fire and my body was reaching the end. The healing magic is hard and wastes a lot of energy.

I don't want to continue the show.

They were not trying to kill me, they were only trying to weaken me to catch me later, but that won't do fools. If you are not prepared for the last consequences then don't play.

"Get her, that way!"

"Quickly!"

Some skillful mercenaries climbed the inn and surrounded me, I sent my magic cards again towards them. They dodged and sent me knives. Goodness, they almost cut my bag and the little squirrels inside.

"You..." I looked at the man that shoved the last knife. "You are without luck!"

I wanted to try one spell. You see, there are many kinds, but the most powerful ones, that can make anyone shatter tears of blood were left for the ones who angered me. Poor man, he was sent to the ground with only the vision of a lightning in his heart.

Sigh... I looked at the sky, the moon was calling the clouds and I was letting them gather around the inn with the song of my magic. The thunders were interceding with their drums and their menacing wind.

"Here it is," I whispered, as more shouts and orders to capture me reached my ears.

The sweat covered my forehead, my red eyes turned green and my hair was no longer white. I returned to the mask of Jane. No more Eli Viel. I had used most of my magic in this spell, with only some little left.

Then, as in tune with the arrows, the fire, and the shouts, I heard the one I loved.

"Jane!"

I heard him calling me desperately, but the soldiers from the other Kingdom and the mercenaries from wherever they were, were about to reach me.

He looked tired and hurt. There are some burns in his cape too. What happened back there?

I notice blood coming from one of his arms, an arrow may have caused that. I couldn't help but feel horrified by the thought of him being harmed and in pian, such a masterly crafted body can't be damaged, not in my watch darlings.

My finger moved and signaled his body, then a ray stroke his body wraping him in a warm blue light. I saw him see me with awe but at the same time with a ghastly expression, he knows what I was about to do, maybe our platonic connection made him realize.

"Goodby, my dear."

Most of the mercenaries and soldiers from the enemies surrounded me, and I didn't fight back. I waited for the dramatic end.

The clouds were ready for the deathly show. My thunders and bolts of lightning were on tune and about to collide into one. This was the best part of the symphony where I will display the best fireworks, the best roar.

"Bam!"

A strong thunder came and destroyed the inn. I knew no one was inside, no one was alive or they already fled. No one was to get out and no one was to get in.

The army of enemies approaching me was destroyed and I was also to be burnt with it.

"Jane!"

****

A week later...

"Master, when are we going to get out of this shithole?"

"Master, I am hungry..."

"Master, what the hell are you doing?"

Those three squirrels are making me want to punish them and send them to oblivion. I was tired, after a week, I had recovered at least a 20% of my magic and energy and will to live and go on with my life and not kill these three musketeers.

The show at that time was amazing, I can't deny it. I hope it was worth it, too. However, I won't die that easily, and I won't be captured too, not even that handsome Duke will do it.

I had to disappear, but I also had to use my whole magic on that little moment. Heh... at least I was not the only one who suffered from it.

Those three squirrels stayed like that, fluffy squirrels. Aw

"I need to rest, Tommy, please stop jumping on the bed," I said to the little fluffy thing with red hair that was jumping high in the sky. "Please..."

I was getting a headache.

"But... I am bored," he said as he looked at me with big teary eyes.

"I know, I know," I got him a toy for him to play, the kind of endless game you will never get bored with, a yo-yo.

He looked at me, "..."

I know, I am the best. Though, in his squirrel form, he will have a hard time playing with it. Heh.

"Master, when are you going to turn us back?"

Lily jumped to the side with her cute big and lovely eyes and soft tail. I wanted to tell her that she is perfect that way. Lovely, fluffy, pocket-size, and that I won't turn them back. Never, but...

"When I recover at least half of my magic," I said, "that will be in about two more weeks, I hope."

"Then... are we going to stay here for two weeks more?"

"Yes," she looked at me with a frown, or so I thought.

"But... what about the soldiers that are coming right here."

"What?!"

"I saw them when I was looking for food."

She should have told me that first. I focused my energy and heard the steps, not many, maybe a dozen tired soldiers with big armors and shields and even knives and swords, some arrows too. They were weak and not menacing at all, but for a delicate flower like me with only three plushies around, that would be dreadful. Though, I have my powers.

"What should we do, Master?"

I thought for a second, maybe two. I don't have really my powers.

"Run!"
