Powerful

It was easy. I had practiced for so many years, my experience should not be underestimated.

The show began with a great and spectacular entrance, some fireworks displays, some tricks of 'disappear and appear' behind their backs. They all went oh and wow, though, most of the time they screamed: "Witch!" "Demon!"

My audience was surely amazed and their eyes were fixed on me without blinking. Their little round eyes exerted strength to grow into big round eyes.

"Pay attention, don't move," I said and they didn't move. They were paralyzed.

Even when their faces showed a myriad of emotions. Those that can take you to a therapist if they were difficult to control.

Anger, maybe ire passed their eyes. Then surprise, or maybe shock. And later, fear. Yes, that was something I never induced in my spectacle. Fear.

They stood there without moving when I sent a spell to chain their hands, feet, and the rest of their body to the nearby trees.

Good, my magic works pretty well.

I made a bow and saluted for the last time, however, before I could take a step further, I saw their faces again. They were blushing? What? Why?

My eyes followed their gazes and just then I noticed. The stupid rope that was tying my dress had loosened and the rip of my dress was making its entrance. These shameless mercenaries didn't say a word when another show was taking their attention.

"Kyaaa!"

I shouted to the fucking audience and sent them another spell to knock them out.

Damn Kian, I will get back at him. It doesn't matter how, nor when, but he will feel the same humiliation I felt today, I swear.

I sent the spell to repair my dress quickly before running to the woods. My sweet little squirrels were waiting for me frightened, I bet.

Maybe Lily will be crying. Maybe Tommy will be shouting my name. Maybe Matty will be… will be digging a hole to try to escape. The smartass.

The battle below was growing furious. My sweet Dark Duke was doing a magnificent job attracting the danger to himself.

The many soldiers working together to kill the Duke and his men didn't stop coming in hordes. I could see many soldiers marching without fear.

Yes, they were without fear, because they were battalions against a few handle of knights guarding the mine. Funny fact, the mine was empty now.

"Kian…"

Surprisingly, my mouth muttered his name. I was worried, maybe. I will leave him behind… I don't know.

The high hill where I put the barrier was still safe without any trace of humanity on it. The only creatures around were birds, and animals, and three scared squirrels that were surrounded by three dangerous birds.

"Shu… shu!"

I shouted successfully saving my three followers like a true hero.

"Master!"

"Boss, you came!"

"What took you so long?"

"…"

This ungrateful squirrel! I will make him realize that he should treat me with respect or he will suffer terrible consequences.

"Anyway, get on, we have to give a hand to a friend."

"Are you not turning us into real children now?"

"What? Do you think I am a fairy godmother? You want to be real children?"

"…"

Lily was about to cry and Tommy was looking down again with crocodile eyes.

"Wait, I am turning you, please, don't cry," I patted the soft head of my little squirrel. "I will turn you back, but now, we should move faster."

Lily looked at me with bright eyes as if asking if I was telling the truth. Of course, I was, what made her think I won't turn them back. Even if they look so adorable with those cute fluffy bodies and plushy eyes. I am not that shameless.

"Well, let's go, dears," this time I should show them how it is done. Now that my powers are back, these little squirrels will know how to show me some respect.

The time I spent feeling helpless and weak, even with my awesome tricks and beautiful performances. All that time will not go to waste, from this point and on, the real magician Eli Viel will come to the world to shower the skeptics with the wonders of the magic. True magic.

I recited the words, the spell that was engraved in my soul like a chant of angels, and then...

*Disappear*

***

The rest of the story is quite fast. We arrived at the little Corn town, however, what we saw was what I expected. Death.

Countless bodies were drowning the streets with their smelly blood and cries. It was dreadful, and that is why I made my little squirrels faint before their innocent eyes were dirtied with such a saddening show.

I love to see their smiles, the smile of my audience, but when the audience turns heavy and violent, it is better to close the show and start the other side of me. The one that is not an entertainment but a magician, a powerful one with spells and invocations, and magic arrays and not so funny card tricks.

"Hey!" I shouted and the ones that were burning the houses even with people screaming turned to see me. I got my cape covering my head, but the white hair I regained made its time to enter the mystery. I started to float in the air, and a blue extravagant light surrounded me.

I guess this little laser spectacle could be seen even from the Nertil Mine. I can hear them, the beating of their heart, the steps of their feet, and the shouts calling for the soldiers to take me as their prisoner.

However, that will be their first and last dream.

"Shoot!" many arrows came to capture me, but I sent them back with a blaze of air shattering the wood and the iron at the same time.

Oh my, I felt so powerful.

"Take her down!"

Who is the one shouting? What a brave man. However, his shouts didn't last long when I had already sent my magic cards that were sharper and more accurate than their useless arrows to calm their voices. No more beatings, no more steps.

*Boom!*
