Good-bye Aidan

All of them ran outside towards the garden

"WE ARE SURROUNDED!", shouted Zane, amidst the confusion.

"Yeah we noticed",Aidan called back

"What do we do?!",asked Laurel

"I don't know",said Zane, panicking

He looked at Alice standing there and shouted,"Hey do you think you could summon a storm or a lightning or something?!"

"I can try",Alice said

Although she had never tried summoning a big storm in an alarming situation.

Wind whistled in their ears although it did not seem to affect the ten of them because of some force-field Aidan had created to protect them. The storm did seem to be doing a lot of damage.

Alice's eyes turned white and shone. She raised a hand and pointed at one of the scary-looking men's direction and impressively a lightning bolt hit the spot she pointed at. But unfortunately, the men just kept coming in their direction. It had him brought to his knees but he got up again and paced towards them, he took out his bow and With his skilled hand, the man notched

an arrow and drew the bowstring back, his muscles flexed and strained against the natural strength of the longbow and forced the arrow back to his cheek and he released the arrow.

No one saw it coming but the arrow came and hit someone. The force-field diminished and the storm stopped too. Everyone looked around and saw Aidan on his knees, with blood coming out of his mouth and an arrow sticking out of his back

"NO!",wailed Alice running towards Aidan.

No one could do anything and then they heard gunshots and they found Scarlett with a gun in her hand.

"Follow me!",she shouted from the other end of the garden, holding the gun. Apparently she had shot those hunter people although they seemed to be getting up again.

All of them followed Scarlett. Mick and Zane carried Aidan and Scarlett stopped infront of a blue van.

"Get in",she said opening the doors.

All of them watched her in awe as she took charge.

"GET IN",she shouted again and all of them obeyed

She looked at Aidan and said,"He needs medical help, here this a first aid kit. Clean up his wounds. Warm the blade and cut out the arrow. I will be driving the van and making sure we are not followed."

She closed the van door from behind and started driving the car.

Everyone was confused but they tried to follow what Scarlett had said. They didn't know why they should follow her or go with her or why she was helping them. All they knew was to get away from those people who wanted to hurt them.

Aidan was in a pretty bad condition and none of them had any ideas or experience with a pierced arrow.

However Alice kept trying. She kept wiping the blood off his face and trying to get the arrow out but everytime Aidan winced in pain, she stopped.

"He'll survive", whispered Alice to herself, wiping her tears.

"He will not",said Bennett, slightly louder than her.

Bennett could sense death. He could call upon the dead and he could communicate with them. If anyone could tell if someone was going to survive or not, it was him.

And it looked like he had sensed death on Aidan.

"No no that's not right!",shouted Alice. "Do something!"

Everyone held their heads down in shame.

"I can't",said Bennett

She checked Aidan's pulse, it was gone.

"NOOOOOO!",she screamed. "Bring him back!"

"I can't!",said Bennett, "I can't bring back the dead and believe me that's not what Aidan wants"

"Stop the van!",shouted Alice and surprisingly Scarlett obeyed.

It was somewhere barren. The land could have done greatly with some grass or trees.

Alice got out of the van while everyone watched her. She screamed , as loud as she could, getting to her knees and the bright sunny day turned dark.

A storm. Lightning bolts falling all around her. Raining heavily. To Zane it looked really really cool and he wished he had the same powers as her but he knew how it felt to lose a loved one and he felt that Alice was making the clouds cry for Aidan. The lightning to be thundering for Aidan and the wind to be Storming in the name of Aidan for one last time.

And then everything stopped. The fog cleared the clouds gone and the sky clear with the sun.

Alice sitting in the middle of the road, tears falling from her eyes and big smoking holes that the lightning had made, all around her.

Laurel got out of the van and went towards Alice. Zane hoped that Alice wouldn't blast out Laurel and she didn't.

Laurel wrapped her arms around Alice. After her, everyone got out of the car one by one and went towards Alice and hugged her until it was a big group hug. Scarlett had gotten out of the van and she watched them from a distance but did not approach the group.

"We will give him a proper burial", whispered Emily

"That I can arrange",said Bennett

Zane didn't know how Alice felt. He could have easily smelled her feelings but he felt it would be intruding so he kept his nose to himself.

"Aidan was a good guy", Alice whispered

"Yes, he was", everyone agreed, pulling out of the hug.

"Now let's go and give Aidan the proper burial that he deserves",said Bennett, taking the lead
