Grievously Injured

"Shit!" Alvian frowned. He had been too careless. Because he was having too much fun battling that guy.

He gazed at his shoulder, there was a nasty wound on his left shoulder. Blood was spilling out from it, dropping to the ground.

Just this wound had severely reduced his combat prowess by almost 20 percent. If he was not careful, he was going to die here either from bleeding or from the tactical team. And there was the fact that the player was still out there lurking in the shadows.

Several chimes rang out from the phone in his pockets but he wasn't in the mood nor in the right environment it check them out.

He hid behind a corridor and took a cloth he had grabbed earlier, wrapping it tightly against his shoulder to stop the bleeding.

He reached for the pistol he had kept hidden. Clocking the slide, there was still bullets inside, but only three were available in the magazine.

"Should be enough." Alvian muttered to himself. But he paused slightly as the sound of footstep entered his ears. Although it wasn't very audible, he was experienced enough to determine that it was the sound of footsteps.

Alvian breathed lightly. The person was directly behind him but they were divided by the wall. And near him, was the door to which the person would enter.

He waited patiently and soon, the door opened softly and the barrel of a gun peaked out from the gap between the door.

There was no need for further detail, it was certainly an enemy. Alvian pointed his gently pistol at a specific place in the door.

"Bang!"

A hole formed on the white door and a body dropped in sync with it.

But it seems that Alvian had miscalculated. The two people had been moving at the same step. Which made him think it was one instead of two.

By the time he realized this, the second person had barged into the door, slamming it against Alvian, making him stagger backwards.

Surprised, Alvain quickly raised his pistol and immediately pulled the trigger.

"Bang! Bang!"

Two different gun sounded out from with the house and the two people slumped to the ground.

Alvian groaned slightly as he frowned. "Seems I'm getting rusty." He muttered to himself as he stared at the bullet hole on his abdomen.

He press against it with his hands to stop himself from bleeding. At this rate, he might actually die from blood loss.

He gazed at his opponent, it was the dark skinned man that had shit his car earlier. But now, he had a hole in the middle of his head. Even the helmet he wore did nothing to stop the bullet as he stared with wide eyes at Alvian.

Alvian wasn't one to dilly-dallying, he headed straight for the kitchen and searched for lighter or matches.

He couldn't find any but he found a pressing iron. His eyes flickered.

Somehow, there was still electricity available in the house. He went ahead and plugged the iron, grabbed a couple of cloths and put them in his mouth.

A couple minutes later, loud muffled groan and pained grunts echoed in the room.

* * * * * *

Footsteps echoed out in the streets. John gasped as he breathed with difficulty. David had broken most of his ribs which had in turn punctured his internal organs leaving his gasping for breath.

As the footstep got closer, John lifted his swollen purplish face up and his expression couldn't help but turn ugly.

It was Bradley that had shown up. Bradley had a malicious smile on his face.

"Clap! clap!! clap!!!"

"Who would have thought that the best special agent in this world would have been reduced to such desperate strait." Bradley mocked as he continued to step forward.

John's eyes widened into a glare and he managed to wheeze out as he struggled to stand up from his sitting position. "What do you think you are doing!?"

"Haha. Nothing, nothing at all." Bradley replied with an evil grin.

"Let me warn you, the powers behind me are not to be trifled with. If you mess with me, they will trample you like the scum you are." John warned and then coughed out another mouthful of blood.

Bradley paused and his expression changed slightly. But then he nodded his head as though he was scared, but his gaze hardened and the malice in his eye increased.

He abruptly dashed forwards and In the blink of an eye, he had withdrawn the Axe that was behind him and directly chopped John's head from his shoulders in one clean sweep.

John's bruised head flew off and rolled in the floor with a thud. His eyes were wide open as though he couldn't believe what had just happened. He hadn't expected this would have happened. Neither would he have expected he would die at a place like this.

"Your arrogance is beginning to irk me." Bradley cleaned his axe off the blood and went ahead to impolitely search through John's body.

His eyes shone as he grabbed a glowing item from John's body.

There was a chime sound Bradley hurriedly kept the item hidden in his body and raised his hands and stared at his his watch with excitement written on his face.

[You have killed an Elite special force.]

[Hidden Mission: Eliminate The Captain. (Completed). You have gained 5000 basic points and 3 skill points.]

"Sweet!" Bradley laughed out loud. This was an unexpected windfall. With 5000 basic points in hands, he could enhance himself even further and with the other basic points he had left, he could also go for his second body enhancement.

Bradley placed his hand down but then, his smiling face turned solemn as a chilling expression stretched across his face.

He had observed the fight from earlier and was now well aware about Alvian's combat ability. And from what he had seen, Alvian's combat ability and gun skills are far superior to his. He knew he wouldn't stand a chance against Alvian if they were to fight in equal terms, but it was a pity they weren't fighting on equal terms.
