Wedding in three days

Sang Qian woke up with Mi Chan by her side. She frowned and raised herself up.

"Yes I saved you." Mi Chan returned her cold stare.

Sang Qian felt sleepy but she just sighed. "I wonder.. when did you start wearing men's scent."

Mi Chan scoffed. "If you don't believe me, ask Yuhan, he witnessed it."

She frowned. No matter how she thought about it, she was kind of sure it was Wang Zhao who saved her or was she just thinking too much? "okay fine. Thank you." Sang Qian muttered and out of the bed but Mi Chan stopped her.

"Stay here for the night."

"Where am I?"

Mi Chan pursed her lips. "Wang Mansion. I asked someone to check on the security around your area. You aren't safe."

Sang Qian gulped lightly. "I am not staying here for sure. I just cannot."

This time they both heard a cold voice from behind. "What kind of mess are you involved in to get yourself in trouble every now and then?"

They turned their heads and saw Mr Sang. Sang Qian's stomach churned. She looked down at her feet. She couldn't bring himself to say something.

Unknown to her, Wang Zhao eyed her gestures all this while leaning against the small closet door. She didn't notice him.

He could see her fists curl up as her hold on the hem of the duvet tightened. He frowned when his eyes traveled back at Mr Sang. He frowned.

"I am not involved in any mess. I don't even know, I just had an anxiety attack." Sang Qian stated bluntly. That was when another surprising fact caught Wang Zhao and Mi Chan's attention.

Wang Zhao furrowed his brows in confusion. Anxiety attack? He pursed his lips.

Mr Sang on the other hand scoffed. "You never fail to disappoint me." He turned around and left.

Sang Qian had a very embarrassed look. "Now that you have seen me getting embarrassed and humiliated, I will leave Mi Chan. I hope this was worth the while." Her voice was cold and shaky.

Her eyes turned to Wang Zhao and surprised washed over her. She felt humiliated. She gulped lightly and stood up immediately. She walked out leaving behind her jewelry.

Mi Chan walked out after her as she passed Wang Zhao a worried look. Wang Zhao on the other hand was standing there with a frown cast on his face. He walked to the nightstand and stared at the jewelry. A thin diamond bracelet; and long, sleek earrings.

He turned to look at the door. "Wonderful." A cold scoff escaped his lips.

Sang Qian didn't care who was around. She held Wang Yuhan's hand and pulled him along with her. "Drop me at my apartment." Her eyes blazed with anger. He couldn't help but agree.

Ji Jin on the other hand was standing there waiting for him outside. He said he would drop her. But when she witnessed him going with Sang Qian she couldn't stop him. She smiled lightly to herself in disappointment. She dialled Qin Si's number. "Can you drop me on your way back?"

The other end of the line agreed. "I will be there shortly."

A week later,

Wang Zhao smiled at Mi Chan who was looking at him with a file in her hands. He frowned when he saw her biting her lip.

"Do you need anything? By any chance?" He questioned placing the pen down on his desk.

Wang Zhao was working as usual and she surprised by visiting him. "When will you stop seducing me?" He asked as slight smile played on his lips.

She sighed. "Can we have the wedding this Friday?"

Wang Zhao stiffened "What?"

She gulped down the lump in her throat. "Please, can we? I don't want to delay this anymore. I don't want to wait any longer. Can we? please?"

He chuckled. "Mi Chan it's not a joke. Try to understand. Its Monday today, you want the wedding to be this Friday? Three days later?"

He couldn't believe her and assumed she was joking. He couldn't bring himself to think otherwise. No matter what, it was evident; what she demanded, was not appropriate.

"I just want the wedding to be small and early. Just our family members and your friends. No other person." Mi Chan had a worried expression.

Wang Zhao studied her expression, she was desperate for it. It was clear on her face, but why?

"Mi Chan, that's stupid. I told you, My parents also play an important role in my life and me getting married is something they always wanted to plan.I.." He tried to clarify his situation.

Mi Chan cut him off. "Don't you love me? Is there a problem in getting married? Are you not sure of us?"

Wang Zhao paused. "Please.. don't make assumptions. How can you think that? I love you seriously. But try.."

"Then let's get married. What's the problem?" She cut him off again, she had to get what she wanted. She could not let this slide. If that marriage took any longer than a week, she wasn't sure, whether she could handle her own situation or not.

He frowned deeper. "You are giving me stress and you know that, right?" His voice was calm, he peered at her never changing expression. She had teary eyes and the doubt was certain in them. He wondered what could have changed her so much?

She sighed. "Please? and yes, there is something wrong. Once we get married, I will tell you for sure. It's something about my family. Just know that if we don't get married by the weekend, We can't be together anymore."

"Is this a joke Mi Chan?"

She shook her head and tears welled up in her eyes. "I am serious." He felt his stomach churn inside. She started sobbing all of a sudden.

"I am sorry." She mumbled and he pulled her in his arms.

"Don't cry Mi Chan. I can just say, I trust you completely. I have faith, you won't ever hurt me in any way." He said in a very calm voice.

He Caressed her back lightly. He was putting his trust on her, which he knew wouldn't take long to break. His gut feeling screamed at him not to take such a decision but he had loved her all this time. This last time won't hurt, would it?

She nodded her head. "Thank-you. So is that a yes?"

"I will see what can I do." He voiced out.

He was sure he could convince anyone but himself at that point. Everything was too rushed. He could not bring himself to believe that a month's time was now shortened to

Sang Qian was seated in the meeting room. Across the table, different men dressed in suits were seated. She would have been the only woman if not for her assistant who was standing on a corner.

Qian was listening attentively to them, suddenly her phone buzzed. She lifted the cup of coffee to her lips and took a sip. Having a stoic expression she tried not to seem rude to read texts in a meeting.

She looked down peering at the lit up screen. As soon as she read the notification, all the coffee rushed out like a jet spray across the table. She coughed furiously. She lost her breath, her assistant rushed to her side and helped her drink some water.

She breathed heavily. "Please excuse me for a second." She mumbled and rushed out. Everyone passed her a confused look but they couldn't bring themselves to voice out their thoughts.

She walked outside hurriedly and dialled Qin Si's number. "Are you serious? Is he getting married this Friday? I can't even understand what is wrong with them." She said accusingly.

After confirming the news was true. She wondered what could be the reason Wang Zhao and Mi Chan suddenly decided to hasten everything.

She frowned and walked back Inside. "I am back. Lets continue." She voiced out nonchalantly. Everyone stared at her in shock and she wasn't a bit affected.

"I know it is weird but, please accept my apology." She smiled apologetically.

Wang Zhao was standing alone in his office when he turned to look at the diamond bracelet on his desk. He thought about Sang Qian. He has been thinking a lot about her lately. He wondered why.

Not to mention, he thought about the dance they shared. A sigh escaped his lips. "why do I keep getting affected by you. It's always the same. Even back then, even now!" He complained to himself. He was tired of the mess that had always been there in his brain. He was prone to stress since he was a teenager and still wasn't used to it.

He facepalmed in dismay. Running a hand through his hair, he walked back to the office chair. A rather certain thought struck his brain when his eyes landed on an old file. His eyes glimmered with something mysterious.

His furrowed brows relaxed and a cold expression made it's way on his face. His eyes turned calm. "Can I put this information to use again?" He asked himself and his lips curved up in a light smile.

Sang Qian stepped out of the elevator. Her phone buzzed. She took another step before pausing and pulling it out. She had a text from Mi Chan. Her brows knitted together. 'What do you need this time?' she asked herself before she opened the text. She saw Mi Chan's text which said she wanted to meet Sang Qian.

She heard footsteps behind her. She turned around and saw a man standing there. He had a mask on. His cap covering the other half of his face. She frowned and stepped back subconsciously. Her intuition telling her, she was in danger.

The man lifted his face up revealing her a weirdly-familiar pair of eyes but she didn't know someone with grey eyes. She gulped. "Who are you?" she asked.
