Do We Have A Deal?

"Attack!"

Lim Xian's die-hard fans started charging at the girl who just kicked their beloved prince charming right on his face that earned him a few scratches in there while Li Meilin, on the other hand, was too stunned to even know what to do from here.

It was always like this when Li Meilin acted on the spot without thinking about it at first. She will make irrational decisions once she gets too overwhelmed with her emotions that will soon lead her to more trouble later on.

Li Meilin didn't expect that her demon master's fangirls would react this way just because their idol got some scratches which he truly deserved in the first place for being such a jerk earlier this morning.

But you know, as they say, love is, indeed, blind for these young girls who only see their idol for his good looks and nothing more.

"Stop it right there."

When Li Melin just stood there and did nothing, Lim Xian started to get back on his feet and glared at those girls who were about to charge at his personal maid.

As much as he hated being humiliated by this girl, Lim Xian would let it slide for now and pretend that nothing happened.

If what she did earlier was because of his public declaration earlier this morning, then it would only motivate him, even more, to play along with it to drive her insane.

The girls instantly stopped at his command and looked at their prince charming as if he had already gone crazy.

"She just kicked you in the face!" One girl with short brown hair shouted. "She deserves some beating right now!"

"Yeah!" Others bellowed in unison.

Stifling a laugh, Lim Xian walks near Li Meilin and drapes one hand onto her shoulders which surprised the latter.

"Relax girls, it's just my girlfriend's way to welcome me, right babe?" Lim Xian tightens his arm on his shoulder while giving her the look that asks her to play along with him or else she'll be a lump of dead meat for sure.

When Li Meilin didn't say something, in the end, Lim Xian simply flashes his dazzling smile that everyone adored so much.

"My girlfriend is so sweet, isn't she?

Soon after the chaos was settled by Lim Xian, all the girls left immediately to be on their merry way while Li Meilin, on the other hand, stayed to glare at her master some more.

"Remind me again why are you doing this exactly?" Li Meilin asked, her glaring eyes never leaving Lim Xian's direction.

"Because it's fun!" Lim Xian replied and smirked at her. "What other reason could there be?"

When Li Meilin didn't say anything to that, Lim Xian's mouth forms an 'o' as he lifts his right hand and covers it.

"Oh my, did you actually think that I've fallen for you? Is that it?"

Lim Xian's sarcastic remark earned him a good laugh from his other friends, whose presence was already forgotten by Li Meilin until now. She shifted her gaze at them for a split second before returning it to her master's direction.

"Don't be ridiculous. I hate you as much as you hate me and you know that already,"

"Right! I'm glad that we are on the same page now--"

"But--!" Li Meilin cuts him off midway. "Don't go telling others about me being your girlfriend or else I might be forced to tell them the truth."

"Would they believe you even if you tell them the truth?"

Lim Xian gave this girl a look as if he was challenging her to answer his question right here and then.

Now that he asks, Li Meilin starts to think rationally of the consequences that might happen to her once she goes out telling other people about the real score between them.

Since she is just simply a nobody on this campus, all his fangirls would still surely want to take his side no matter what happens.

But… shouldn't that be great news for them to know that their idol is still single and available? Li Meilin doesn't get it.

"Whatever you'll say, I will just try to reverse it," Lim Xian added, his voice threatening and challenging her at the same time. "So go ahead, have it your way."

Ahh.. the power of being someone famous and wealthy starts to irritate Li Meilin even more.

"Grr! You are such a pain in my ass!" Li Meilin said in frustration and began storming off away from him.

But the minute she started taking a few steps away from here, Lim Xian proceeded with the question that just randomly popped inside his head.

"Can't you see that this setup would be beneficial for both of us?"

Li Meilin immediately stopped walking when she heard this and looked at him one last time.

Raising one eyebrow at him, Li Meilin snapped, "And your point is?"

"My point is…" Lim Xian continued. "I get to have you for as long as I want, probably around three months at least, and you'll get to have the chance to be around me all the time. Isn't that what your job is for?"

Li Meilin paused for a moment and tried to think of this ridiculous proposal that he is offering. Remembering what Ms. Yu said about gaining his trust to make her job easier, Meilin couldn't think of any other way to do that than being close to his master all the time.

In addition, she can be around him to make a report to Mr. Lim in case he will visit the next time. In order to achieve that, she'll have to stick to this guy all the time.

With such a setup, she can keep an eye on him closely while Lim Xian does whatever he does.

Li Meilin hates to admit it but Lim Xian's right. It was, indeed, a win-win situation for both of them.

While she was still thinking about what to do next, Lim Xian clears his throat first before he extends one hand for them to shake.

"So… Do we have a deal?"
