Somewhere far away, soft slow music played in the background, it filled the corners, making it sound like home. Distant cars honking here and there, and headlights flashing front and back, it was a night scene.
Orva shifted in her position, she inhaled sharply and tries to adjust the position she was in, but then she realized she couldn't move. Her hands and feet weren't bound when she opened her eyes to look at them, but she still couldn't do anything, it's like her entire body was in a relaxing state, unable to respond to her commands.
It came into realization that the previous movement she felt wasn't real, it was a mind trick playing in her head. Panicked for her safety, Orva moved her mouth to speak but they didn't move, neither did any sound vibrate in her throat.
'where am I?' Orva silently panicked and looked around frantically, though her fears were just starting to rise from not being able to move when she hears a voice beside her.
