Finally A Customer

The depressed Ethan slowly went back and sat on his 'librarian' chair. With the help of system he learned that the war that took place 200 years ago hasn't concluded. With the chain quest that activated, he learned that there are invaders who are acting as spies in the academy. And the objective of these spies is to find that earth shattering item or whatever that has been hidden in the library around 200 years ago.

Maybe this crystal which is safe in his system's inventory is the one they were looking for. Ethan knew what these crystals are used for. A person could extract their memories and store it in these crystals.

To put it simply, back on Earth, people have the habit of maintaining an yearly diary in which they write down their daily life experiences. Ethan didn't know whether it was a good habit or not. But back on earth, people used to believe it as a good habit. But Ethan was the kind of person who didn't maintain any personal diary.

But in this cultivation world, these crystals perform the same duty but in a different way. The only difference is that, back on Earth, people used to write down their daily experiences in a diary. But in the cultivation world, people could extract their memories and store it in these crystals.

With the help of system, he learnt many things. And the usage of this crystal is one of them. Ethan learned that unlike diaries on earth, these crystal has different storage limits. Some crystals could store up to hundred years worth of life experiences. Some has the limit of 200 years. Some have one thousand year limit. Nothing was certain.

He didn't want to take out this crystal from the inventory right away. Unlike in the game back on Earth, he has only one life now. If he dies now, then he had no way to resurrect like in the game back on Earth. So it is better to stay as much secretive as possible.

Only at the end of the day when he goes back to his dormitory, he will take a look at the Crystal. Until then, he will act as if nothing has happened.

"Excuse me! Anybody is here?" ,At that time, Ethan heard a voice from the entrance of the library. This voice sounded very cute and gentle. Obviously, this voice belonged to a girl.

Ethan snapped back to the reality and looked at the entrance of the library. He didn't find anyone. Maybe that girl was standing a little far away from the entrance of the library which made him failed to find her. He nonchalantly said, "Please come in."

After he spoke, the girl finally entered the library. She had a ponytail hairstyle. Her dressing style was completely ordinary which meant that her background was ordinary. If she joined the Sacred Wind academy, then it explains everything about her background.

She had nervous expression. She had no clarity over anything and was nervous about her arrival to the academy. Ethan could find a complete innocence on her face.

"Bi-big brother! I finally found you." ,That girl clearly wanted to start the conversation. But because of her nervous attitude, she almost messed up.

"I was waiting for you here for the past two days." ,That girl said nervously.

"Why were you looking for me?" ,Ethan asked a little confused.

"That.... on that day I was present in the library. I heard your announcement that the academy's library has been opened. Actually I was unable to cultivate properly. I had some trouble with my cultivation and my master failed every time to find the solution." ,That girl nervously said.

She continued, "When I was trying to find a solution somehow, I heard your announcement and thought that maybe the solution to my problem lied in any one of the books in the library. So I was trying to find you here for past two days. But you didn't come."

"I...I will go with membership." ,That girl thought for a moment and said. She felt that spending away 200 contribution points for just a month benefit is not a wise thing. "Excellent choice!" ,Ethan gave her thumbs up. He took a step forward in completing his mission. But he feared that this girl might change her mind as her face was filled with nothing but questions. He used to have same face back on earth. And due to this, he didn't stay on a single decision out of fear of unknown.

The girl in front of her looked somewhat similar. So he decided to make it quick before she changes her mind.

He completed all the procedure carefully and swiftly. After placing the membership token in her hand, he heaved a sigh of relief. But at that time, a system notification popped out.
